V. VALUE GOD’S JUDGMENT

Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Both the Youth Leaders and the youth are living their lives before men and their commitment is lived out as though only men are judging them.

They treasure certain things that they can receive from this world. For example: esteem, prestige, pats on the back, acceptance, even how Pastor Mike or Dr. Banks may see them. They treasure these things more than God’s judgment of them. This is not always shown when we are around the people of God, but in our thoughts, during our private times, when we are alone and exposes how we regard God’s judgment.

Much of the youth in Fort Lauderdale care more about man’s judgment by trying to portray themselves as walking in the Spirit rather than God’s judgment and moving into the Life of Christ. A person who casts down evil thoughts during private times when no one is watching is mindful of God’s judgment. What you treasure regardless of what you say or do is where your heart is. It is up to us to deal with what we really treasure, as they will always distract us.

We can only go as far in ministry as our hearts will go. We will not go fully into God because of hidden treasures, but the Father will reveal where we are because He is faithful toward us. Value this walk in the Spirit and our only treasure to be, our fellowship with the Father and to know that we have audience with Him because of our life of sinlessness.

We must come to a place where this is all we treasure, this is all we want or need. The Father is asking, “Will you be content with just fellowshipping with Me or are you still looking for something else?” A man with fellowship has found hope, but a man without it is always looking for something else.
