VI. THE LIGHT OF THE BODY St.

Matthew 6:22

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

If we can see God and all we want is God, our whole body will be full of light and will live what it sees. Then we can have the testimony as Christ did, that we only do the things we see the Father do. How we view things will determine what we are going to do. Will we render mercy or judgment, righteousness or unrighteousness? St.

Matthew 6:23

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

The Word has brought us to a place where the light has shone in our hearts and we have been given a visual of God. He has brought us into agreement with Him and we are convinced of what He has done in us. So if the devil is able to make us choose the world over Christ, how great is that darkness. This kind of darkness is designed to take you all the way out. Any other route we choose other than “That Life” is darkness. We have touched, tasted and seen the light, and if we choose something else we abandon God because of what is in our hearts, what we really treasure. How do I dig up that treasure? Renounce it. Confess it.

2 Corinthians 4:2

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The more you hide sin, the more power it has over us. We cannot serve God and this world. One has to go. We cannot lay up any treasure for self. We can come so close to walking in the Spirit and still not have made a decision that the Father is all that we want. The things that will keep us out of the Kingdom are what we want in our hearts, our doubt and unbelief. The son of God should not need a safety net to keep him out of sin. Staying out of sin should be our preference. Determine in your heart that you will not sin.

Determining in your heart that you will not sin will show you where your power is in the middle of a situation. Do not be undecided about this in your heart. We need to remain in a place of walking in the Spirit long enough to allow our minds to be renewed. We have to believe that we can live holy even if the enemy has tried to cause us to believe differently. We as the sons are dictators of this body. Our power is in our hearts.

We have to take authority over our thoughts, emotions and desires. We are already conquerors. Once the heart has been converted, the enemy has nothing in us. If we convert our hearts, God will be able to test us on any scale. Only then will He be able to trust us.

The power is with the agreement with God where we will not break fellowship and our hearts are always given unto God. If we cut off all options to sin, we then become eligible for the Kingdom.
