UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

A marriage will have problems when a man cannot feel comfortable around other women because his wife is always watching him and bombarding him about what he says and does around these other women, you will have serious problems. Whatever romance he could have experienced with his wife is gone as how his wife deals with these issues can cause him to feel perplexed and lose interest in intimacy with her.

In a situation like this, a woman must examine if she is really offended. These things come to test you. If you are doing the righteous and holy thing and the man ventures out, it may not be because you failed to be righteous. He may have ventured out because of the disposition of his heart and his relationship with God. Situations could occur where women will try to make others believe they have a relationship with their husbands. How would you feel if this was said about your husband? Some women live in a fantasy world. In such a case, you must realize what the enemy can do to the imagination.

However, you must deal with how you feel about it. If you get upset about someone's fantasy, then you have a problem with God. Your relationship with God is off-course. It is time for you to love her out of her fantasy world, because she is spiritually crippled. Anytime a person can invent a relationship, he or she is spiritually crippled. You must try to deliver that person, not criticize or crush them. You cannot do this if you are emotionally offended and have an impure heart toward them. We must always remember: people are souls. The ministry of reconciliation makes us responsible for pointing them to God even if they offend us.

When God Ordains a Relationship

When God ordains a relationship, a woman does not have to use her feminine wiles, nor does a man have to use his masculine debonairness to attract each other. God is able to drop something inside a man and woman to let them know He has decided to put them together for the furtherance of His purpose. This is something He can decide, even when two people are not in pursuit of one another. He can say to the man, “I bring you this woman", and to the woman, “I bring you this man,” for the furtherance of His cause and His ministry. God does everything for Himself.

Where Does Your Spouse Stand In Regards To Ministry?

Many pastors offend their wives because they put their ministry before their wives and families. Nevertheless, ministry is God. It is the operation of God in your life. A minister's responsibility to the people must be first. Responsibility to the people fulfills a minister's obligation to God. Desire a mate who loves God first. If you put your spouse first, you will not love him the way God wants you to love him. Love God and serve Him. This is done by serving His people. When God's business is first, your love for God is covered. Any mature spouse should be willing to take a back seat to God. Responsibility to God's work must always be first. When you put anything before God, you will dishonor Him. First be a minister and then a spouse. However, ministers must exercise wisdom. It is not wise for a minister of God to neglect their wife, family and home and use their ministry as an excuse. You must be a minister and fulfil righteousness at home also.
