DAY 4 IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT
JAMES 1:3-4
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
I started out with this scripture so you would know that your faith (walk with God) will be tried. This trial sometimes brings upon you situations that you would have preferred not to face. It is important for you to know that it is not your fault that these trials are there. Suffering and trials are not always a result of sin. You are called to it simply because you are righteous. Trials and sufferings are the operations through which God glorifies Himself in you. He has counted you worthy to suffer with Christ. So, it is not your fault that you face the things you face, it is because of Jesus. The Jesus in you attracts suffering and tribulation. However, He has already overcome all of them, and will overcome them in you if you let Him. Agree with suffering today, and Jesus will use you to glorify Himself.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s
sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. - 1 Peter 4:12-13
ACTIVITY:
Have you ever felt like the bad things you faced in your life was a result of the things you did wrong? Journal how this has influenced a new perspective.
Father, I am glad that you have called me to know you more. I am grateful that you have caused me to know that though I am tried, it is all for your glory. I am wiling for you
to use me in whichever way you see fit. My only desire is that you stay with me in it. I love you! Amen
