DAY 6 LISTEN TO THE LORD

ROMANS 2:15

Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing

one another

One thing that my experience with the Lord has taught me, is to obey my conscience. Many times the Holy Ghost will speak to you through your conscience, giving you promptings and nudges to do things or not to. Honor these nudges. Remember we learned from the first day it is by the power of the Holy Ghost, that we are kept sinless. We have to allow Him to keep us. We do that by obeying our conscience and recognizing that every prompting is a part of that keeping process.

Consider this: You are on a lunch break, and God prompts you to pray with your co-worker. You two have never really been friends, so you feel like it would be weird. Nevertheless, the Lord didn’t stutter. So, you find a way to convince yourself that it won’t be that bad if you do not pray for him/her - and you end up not praying at all. What you have to understand here is, thus far, God had been honoring your prayer to be kept. He was keeping you not by your might, nor by your power, but by His Spirit. However, when His Spirit spoke to you, you reverted to your might, by doing things your way. You took over the reins. Thus, from that point, God is no longer in control; you are. So, in continuing, you will notice that your fellowship with the Lord is not the same. You no longer have the power to be kept. Be attentive to your conscience and the things the Lord says to you. Remember the Lord will keep you if you want to be kept. Disobeying your conscience is proof that you do not want to be kept. Honor the Lord today, and watch Him marvel you.

ACTIVITY:

Close your door and play a worship instrumental (Soaking Music). Ask God to speak to your heart. Journal whatever He says.

Father I pray that the Words of your mouth will be even as a river that flows to the bed of my heart. Let my heart forever be open to you and cognizant of your presence. You are always with me and will never leave me. I thank you and love you Father. Amen
