The Wilderness

It is time for the truth we have heard to become a part of who we are. As your apostle I must speak according to the utterance of the Holy Ghost. It is no oversight that only a few of you are chosen to be in these sessions, for they are for those who are of full age. You will have to eat this meat whether you allow yourself to digest it or not.

The truth is, you are offended with the wilderness but will not do that which is mandated so that we can proceed. The Lord has kept us here for the purpose of making and establishing His covenant with us. As in the days of Moses, many fell and perished in the desert. They never submitted to the way of the Lord and rebelled in their hearts and openly against their leaders. The Lord did not suffer them to enter into the rest He had prepared for them. Today that translates not being able to cease from striving to obtain those things that please the flesh. Such striving must be abandoned and the purpose of the Lord must become your meat.

REBELLION IN THE CAMP

We are at that place where the last remnants of rebellion, unbelief and undermining are being removed from leadership. It is the day of the Korahs.

Numbers 16:1-34

1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Rebellion compels God to identify those He considers men and women after His own heart. Rebels will not be considered when He allows the operation of the gifts He has given. He will provide platforms of ministry for the righteous. He will allow them the privilege of serving in the reformation of the Church. They will be distributors of the revelation and guardians of the faith. Keep this story forever before you. Let it be a reminder of the severity of God’s heart and mind regarding instituted authority.

HE KNOWETH THY WALKING

All who are called to establish a covenant or to do a work for the Lord must take a trip through the wilderness. It is the place of cleansing, purging, proving, refining and defining. Oftentimes many become frustrated with their wilderness because it is a place where the values you hold are defined and manifested. Usually it is a place where the Lord is silent and leaves you to the hearing of your own conscience. Thus, many think the Lord has abandoned them as they seem not to get answers to prayers. But that is just not true.

Deuteronomy 2:7

For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.

The wilderness is a time of the revealing of self to self. But most of all it will reveal the abundance or the lack of integrity towards God and man.

The wilderness days are days of pioneering for the soul and the ministry. It is a place of preparation for ministry. It is void of conveniences and comfort zones. You have embarked on a journey that is in no way compatible with the desires of the flesh. It does not seek to provide you with the comforts or conveniences of this world, but on the contrary, it will strip the flesh of all its influence and power. Jesus was hungry in the wilderness. It is a place where you will learn to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

The affect of the wilderness on a personal level is the same regarding the ministry at large. The same rules apply and the yielded results are the same as well. The people and the ministry had to undergo this experience so that those who identify with God will be perfect in character, lacking nothing in essential Godly elements, complete and without flaws.

During this time of spiritual development you as well as the ministry had to learn how to use and survive with only the resources provided by the Father. It is not that God does not hear your prayers, He hears and knows of every tear, heartbreak and disappointment. But He will allow you to continue to murmur and complain, cry and desire until you realize He is not coming to your pity party. He is waiting for you to conform to the image of His Son.

The same is true with the ministry. There were things we had to learn and change and gain integrity in. We could complain about finances until Jesus came, but the Lord knew that certain mindsets and desires had to be destroyed before we could be trusted with the funds needed to finance such a great undertaking. Be assured that the prayers offered in our wilderness will be answered and manifested.
