The Vision

There are many facets of the ministry that are being worked by the members of Bible Teachers International. If asked what these facets are, you could probably name the majority of them without giving much thought. But I feel it very necessary to delve into some of the specifics of why we do what we do. I believe that the vision has been lost inside of “works” and therefore we find ourselves at a place where many are becoming frustrated and/or working outside of the initial route that God placed us on. I am not here to place blame, but to assure that you not only understand the working of the vision but that you also instill it into the ones that you are leading.

I want to start out by reiterating the commission God gave to me at the onset of this ministry. He said, “Just as I called Moses to lead the children of Israel out of captivity, I have called you to bring My church out of ignorance. I proceeded to start a school of ministry to teach the truth to whosoever would come. It was not my intention to start a church, but it was God’s route because once His people were brought out of the captivity of ignorance they knew they could not return to living the traditions and doctrines of men, hence Bible Teachers International. We started out with most of the similarities of a regular Sunday church service but with, and I say this in all humility, a level of the Word that was not found in the majority of the churches at the time.

As time went on I knew those who were members of this church were more than just “laymen” but that they were people whom God intended to use to accomplish HIS purpose in the world. Because of that one difference, I recognized this meant that everything we did had to have an element of training in it. The members had to know that whatever they did was to prepare them as workers in the Kingdom of God.

The growth path is the organizational structure of the ministry that includes all the components either operational or visionary. This structure must be seen as a living organism, evolving into a fully developed giant whose sole purpose is to influence, direct and establish the believer in God’s purpose for his life.

This living organism must become a giant, capable of pioneering, settling and expanding ministry, both throughout the world, and in the life of the believer.

It is the responsibility of ministry to move the seeker from an introduction to God, to the fulfilling of God's purpose in his life. In order to be effective in this, a fundamental growth path must be established.

1. It is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit to reveal the growth path to be

used in the ministry.

2. It is the responsibility of the leader to install the path.

3. It is the responsibility of the under-shepherds to direct the believer on the path.

4. It is the responsibility of the entire Body to help each other stay on the path.

Within the path, many ministerial gifts will feed, nurture and cultivate the seeker. Therefore, it is essential that the workers on the path move to spiritual maturity.
