It is continually fascinating to discover all the details of the Redemptive Plan. I am sure we will never know all that took place, but what we do know is sufficient.
Psalm 139:14-16 (KJV)
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
I was made in secret: This mystery was hid in God, and was not revealed to the sons of men, but is now made known to us, the apostle and prophets of his church. You did see my substance while it was imperfect: While we were yet in sin, the Lord loved us and chose us to be in Christ. Christ’s substance is his Body, the Church. All my members are written in your book:
Revelation 21:27 (KJV)
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Only those whose names are written in the book of life can enter the Holy City. In continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them: Those who are the elect of God were chosen to be so before the foundations of the world were laid.
Psalm 22:30-31 (KJV)
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
I believe it was Isaiah who asked the question, “Who shall declare his generation?” Well, the answer was given to David. The seed that was curiously wrought shall serve him and be accounted for his generation. Yes we are the 42nd generation in the genealogy from Abraham to Christ.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
This is a prophecy. The church will be his witnesses. We will preach the gospel and many more shall be born again. Encourage yourself… The prayer Jesus prayed while in Hell.
Psalm 77:1-20 (KJV)
1 I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.
4 Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
8 Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?
9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
