Accept Truth: Do Away With Dual Nature

It is the charge of every true apostle to deliver the Mystery of Christ to the Church. I have found that the greatest opposition to the revelation of Christ in us, the hope of glory, is the surrender to the false doctrine of “dual nature.” Having taught the truth concerning this doctrine many times, (see my book, “Be Ye Perfect”), I will only mention some additional relevant Scriptures and facts that continue to identify the falsehood of such a doctrine.

Recently, I encountered a young Pastor; who, to say the least, was very passionate in his belief that the Body of Christ is still plagued by evil nature in the flesh. It quickly became very obvious to me, that the young man was apparently raised to believe such a doctrine and was not willing to let go of his precious belief system. Yes, it was precious to him, because it was all he knew. Therefore, the Holy Spirit was lovingly compelled to confront the error with truth that could not be refuted. However, when confronted with the fact that Christ and Satan must be living in the same vessel in order for us to have dual nature; he quickly moved to the position that our sinful nature came from Adam. Well, the obvious question would be, “Where did Adam’s sinful nature come from?” The passages below clearly declare the devil to be the origin of sin in man.

Romans 7:16-17

16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Romans 7:23

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Ephesians 2:2

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

Romans 8:15

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The spirit of bondage is of the devil; it did not originate with Adam. It is the spirit of sin that lived in us before salvation. The Scripture above is clear. There is no need for debate, except pride rules. If such is the case, then the Scripture is also clear; “if this gospel be hid, it is hid to those who are lost.” Sadly, there are many preachers who are lost because their pride will not allow them to accept that they have been wrong, sometimes for many years. Therefore, they continue to preach doctrines that make living holy, a never-ending, stressful struggle; thus robbing the Body of Christ of all hope of pleasing God.

John 8:44

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

How did Satan become the father of the human race? The same way God became the Father of the Church; by the indwelling of His Spirit. But I was moved with compassion for my misguided brother. After all, it was not his fault that he had never heard of the “circumcision of the flesh,” found in

Colossians 3:10-13.

This is the other half of the gospel that is never preached; for it is automatically assumed that God’s redemption plan had nothing to do with our flesh. Without a circumcision of the flesh, it would be impossible for God to demand that our whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless (without sin) until the coming of our Lord (1Thes.5:23). It is time to do away with the dual nature doctrine. In spite of what we learned, or rather, what we were taught in the past, it is much easier and more beneficial for us to stay with the Scriptures. They all point to the fact that we were once filled with the spirit of bondage that caused the law of sin to work in our flesh. But now with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Scripture clearly states that we did not receive the spirit of bondage again, therefore we don’t have to fear being brought into captivity to that law of sin again. It is so much easier to believe God.

Romans 6:1-23

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

You are the one in control of the flesh. It does not control you. If there is lust in the body it is created by the thoughts of the heart or soul. You must allow sin in the flesh. There are no other spirits compelling you to sin. The choice is yours.

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

I don’t think it could become any plainer than this. Sin has no more dominion over the sons of God. We have been made free from sin. Once again, you must choose that to which you will yield your members.

15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
