False Prophets and Teachers

One last warning my brothers and sisters . . . if you continue to resist the truth you will certify yourself as a false prophet or teacher in the Body of Christ. You will be marked by God to receive the rewards of unrighteousness. Let me remind you of the apostle Peter’s writings concerning those who turned away from the knowledge God laid before them. As in the days of Peter, there are many false prophets and teachers among the people of God. Likewise, as in the early church, these have brought damnable heresies to the Body of Christ.

They deny Christ and will one day fall into swift destruction. Many of the people of God will and have followed after them and their pernicious ways because they have turned away from righteousness and the truth is evil spoken of. But why would a preacher of the gospel refuse to accept the truth when he hears it? Why does he turn a deaf ear to the words that bear witness with his spirit? Brothers I dare say, “The Holy Ghost is the same in all of us. He confirms the truth in all the creation of God. Could it be that through covetousness, want, greed or lust for power and control over the people of God and their substance, such a one has forsaken the truth and gone forth making merchandise of the Sons?

If God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell into everlasting chains of darkness neither will he spare those who pervert the gospel of Jesus Christ for personal gain. There is a new generation being brought to the forefront of the Church and they are even as Lot; encompassed by the filthy lifestyle of the wicked. We are seeing and hearing unlawful deeds that vex our souls. The light has come and sin in the Body of Christ will be judged first. The apostle spoke chiefly of those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise government. He said, “Presumptuous they are and self-willed.

They are not afraid to speak evil of those who are true ambassadors of Christ. But whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord, these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; but they shall receive the reward of unrighteousness.

Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with us. Because their eye is not single but full of adultery, they cannot cease from sin; so they beguile unstable souls with covetous practices; they are cursed children: They have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; for which the mist of darkness is reserved forever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those who were clean escaped from them who live in error. Peter went on to say, “While they promise others liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought into bondage.

For if after they had escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they were again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
