Philippians 3:8

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.

Every time I read this scripture, it carries such a deep meaning. Sometimes we say a scripture has a two-fold meaning because several truths are revealed teaching us all of the different ramifications of Christ. When we think in terms of the things that are relative to Christ, one of them is the anointing. Christ is the anointing. The Spirit upon us is Christ. Salvation is in Christ.

When Paul wrote this, he was already saved. He said he counted everything he had accomplished as dung, when he compared it to the excellency of the knowledge of what he had been apprehended by. He was going forward because he wanted to win Christ. The terminology he uses here is peculiar because the connotations indicated he is in competition. When you talk of winning you are talking about being the victor. We know through his life that he was in competition with Satan from the time he was saved until called home. He faced enticements and all forms of temptations to take him out of Christ and keep his mind off pressing toward perfection. Satan brought all types of persecutions in the forms of temptation and distresses to discourage Paul from servitude in Christ.

Paul asked the Lord to remove this thorn from his flesh. It was not a disease, but persecutions, situations and Judaism that attacked his ministry. The Lord said to him, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Paul finally realized that the power of God was operating through him inside the weaknesses of his flesh. He realized his flesh had to be humiliated for the power of God to be seen or manifested. Because some men despise being humiliated, they will never be used by God. Concerning spiritual growth . . . you cannot even move from one spiritual location to the next until you are willing to walk in humility. To walk in humility means one must be willing to be humiliated.

Paul explained this in the midst of his preaching at Philippi and let them know that this was a “needs be.” Paul told them not to be moved by his afflictions letting them know that God allowed all this for his making, and God, allowed the persecution. It would be made known explicitly that the power, the excellency of the power, was of God and not of man. The flesh has to be put inside humiliating situations, situations where flesh had no control, in order for the God living in that flesh to manifest. If flesh was not placed inside weakness to allow God to manifest Himself through that body, then flesh would take credit for what God was doing. Flesh would exalt itself . . . so, not only for your sake, Paul, but for the sake of the people you must be humiliated.

When Paul and Barnabbas went to certain Grecian cities, the people treated them like God, because of the miracles they were working. The people saw the miracles and the supernatural power and thought it was of the flesh. Paul had to make sure they knew the power was of God and not of flesh. That takes us back to the disciples. God wants us to see that it is He who operates through the flesh and that the flesh has nothing to do with what God does. When God uses one of us to speak healing, our flesh does not do the work. God wants us to be mindful of His presence in us.

Philippians 3:9-14

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul was pressing toward the mark of the prize. He talked about winning. He is in a race. He is in competition for something. He is not in competition with his fellow brothers. He is at war with the devil for his soul. Paul said, “I don’t want to preach these things and can’t keep my body under and then at the end I myself am a castaway. I don’t want to do all this work and then fail to enter in, fail to inherit the prize.” We have limited this scripture. We have only seen the prize as perfection and obtaining the anointing. This is true, but it is so much deeper than that. Because we have come to that level of depth, the deep is calling those who want to go deeper. He is saying there is a prize to be found waiting for us. That prize is a high calling in Christ Jesus . . . the highest calling we could ever receive. Many times we talk about our calling and make our calling relative to our gifts.

There is a higher call. The scripture is now focusing on the higher calling. The lower calling is a mechanism for getting us to the higher call. The highest call is what the sons of God have been called into. The highest calling can only be found in Christ Jesus. Let’s discover what the highest call is . . . the one Paul was pressing for. Paul had a revelation of a higher calling in Christ Jesus and had a greater revelation of the Body of Christ. When God took Paul out of his body and up to glory, he said, “I saw things and I heard things that were not lawful for a man to utter.” A man could not speak of these things unless God gave it to him. He told the church at Ephesus, I need you to understand my knowledge of the mystery as God has revealed some things to me: that He had made one new man. He did not mean a Jew, a Gentile, a woman or a man. He meant ONE NEW MAN.

Revelation 20:1-3

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Revelation 1:5-6

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in this own blood.

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Who is the “us” here? Isn’t the Church the only blood-washed people? They are people who have been washed by the blood of Jesus, the Church. Where is our dominionship? So since He made us kings and priests, where are we to serve?

Revelation 1:7

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

When the Lord comes back, He will set up the Millennium Kingdom in which we as priests and kings will reign with Him on the earth. This is about ready to happen. The only thing we are waiting for is a treaty to be made by the antichrist and Israel. The treaty is supposed to be made for seven years; but the antichrist will break the treaty after three-and-a-half years and will walk into the temple and declare himself as God. When we see this happening, our redemption is nigh.

The Lord will then take the Church out of here. The church world is looking for the sign of His coming, and the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel is the sign of His coming for the church. It is a sign for the Church, and it is a sign for Israel. It is a sign for the Church relative to the fact that Jesus said, “When you see that, look up! Your redemption is nigh.” He told Israel though, “When you see it, take off to the hills and run to the mountains because your persecution is nigh.” When this happens, the wrath of God is about to fall on Israel.

Revelation 5:10

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

As sons of God, it will be our responsibility to work inside the renovation. There will be many dead as the scriptures declare in the Old Covenant. When Jesus comes and does battle on the earth, many will die, and there will be men whose jobs are to do nothing more than bury the dead. It will take at least seven months to bury all the dead upon the face of the earth. Earth will be like it is today relative to seven continents and oceans and rivers, and we will not see much difference in the construction of the earth other than in the renovation. We will be scattered over the entire world and earth will be again a paradise. The lamb will lay down with the lion, as the devil will be bound at that time. In that thousand year period people will still be born.

Because of the peace on the earth, a man one hundred years old will be considered a baby. Men will live in the longevity that Adam and others lived in and people will die in the Millennium because death has not been destroyed. The people born at that time will not be the sons of God but will be of the nations who befriended Israel, the ones who helped Israel in their flight from the antichrist. God will preserve those nations that down through the centuries who helped Israel. During that one thousand years the earth will be repopulated with those nations who befriended Israel, the sons of God will operate in sonship as priests, as a royal priesthood.

Christ will be in Jerusalem and will dwell in a literal temple described for us by Ezekiel as a beautiful temple. The sons of God and Jesus Christ will rebuild Jerusalem and some of us will live in the temple as priests. Wherever we, the sons, are stationed, it will be our responsibility to see that everybody in that nation, everyone in the towns and those in the cities worship God and worship the Christ who will be in Jerusalem. During that time, once a year, known to the Jews as Passover, we and those in our territorial spheres of influence will travel to Jerusalem to honor and worship Christ. If any nation refuses, the priests over that area will bring famine upon them until they submit and go and worship the Christ. Remember, these people will not saved. We are the kings and the priests. We have been made the head and not the tail. God will put us on top and not beneath. We were suppressed in this life here and they had all the wealth. Many of us left jobs to do the work of God as we could not work for ourselves and do God’s work too. Many cut away from comrades and social friends just to work for God. We were outcasts, called fools and made a gazing-stock just to work for God on planet Earth.. Now the tables will have turned; the sons of God will be the rulers of the earth during the Millennial Reign.

This is what is meant by “we shall inherit.” Everything God gave to Christ, we are joint-heirs. We will reign over the Gentile nations who become our inheritance, although it will be Christ in us doing the reigning. Our reward will come when we have died to our flesh, and the Spirit of Christ is operating in our new body. Because of our conscience we will still remember who we were and where God brought us from, for we would not be able to praise Him with any emotion if we forget these things. The miracle of God is to turn us into Christ but allow us to keep our own consciousness within that change.

Ephesians 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ . . .

Our blessings in Christ are spiritual and anything done in the natural is just to take care of our flesh. My blessings are spiritual because I am a spiritual being and am in Christ. Right now, isn’t Christ sitting on the right hand of glory? Right now that is where our blessings are . . . with Christ sitting on the right hand of God! We are presently down here on the earth by the Spirit, and we are His brothers by the Spirit. Because His Spirit is in us, the blessings we are entitled to are in Him. What is left is the redemption of our bodies. This is all we are waiting for . . . to be translated into that new body. The scripture says when He comes we will be just like Him. A better translation would be when He comes we will be Him. Presently, He has given us everything except our new body. We have the Holy Ghost and this flesh is going to dissolve. The rest of the blessings are the things God promised Christ, and to be partakers we have to be as Christ.

This body, sitting on the right hand of God, was made with one material: the Word. The Word was made flesh. If our earthly tabernacle dissolves, we have another building not made with hands. Adam’s building, earthy fashioned by the ingredients of the earth, was made with God’s hands, but the building we will inherit is made by the Word of God, spiritually fashioned by the Word.

Ephesians 1:9-12

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

“We should be the praise of His glory who first trusted in Christ.” The body we will receive must come out of this body, just as Eve came from Adam. It has to be the bone of His bone and the flesh of His flesh. Every seed produces after its own kind. This is not a theological saying, it is spiritual and literal. All God has to do is speak the Word. This new body will be made by the Word . . . and will be the Word. We are going to be changed into the Word of God. God spoke that body into existence from the very beginning, and when we are translated we will have the same body as Jesus Christ. Christ is the one sitting on the throne but we are in Him. We are sitting in heavenly places. God tried to show us that when He made Adam and Eve. When He first made Adam He called them Adam. There was only one. The scripture said when He made man He called them Adam. Eve was already in Him. We are already in Christ.

Ephesians 1:5

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, . . .

The adoption of children was of God, and everything has been done by Him for the good pleasure of His own will. We were predestined before the world was to be adopted by Jesus Christ “according to the good pleasure of his will,” because this is what He wanted.

Ephesians 1:6

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Ephesians 1:12

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Ephesians 1:14

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 1:14

God wants a people who will love Him. He has angels in heaven right now and they are praising Him saying “Holy, holy, holy,” twenty-four hours a day. However, they do not know how to love Him like we do because they are created beings. From the beginning, God wanted children with love equal to His love. In order to achieve this, He had to be the provider. Only God loves like God loves. He had to beget some children, some offspring, some extensions of Himself. In all of His doing to get Himself a body to dwell in, in all of His making us into a perfect being, a perfect vessel, He perfected our mentality and perfected our bodies but retained our consciousness so we could always remember from where we had come. As long as we remember from where we came, we will always praise Him and give Him thanks for bringing us out of darkness into His glorious light.

God created us through a process of birth. We are the begotten. We are an extension of the Father and can love as the Father, because we have the Father in us. We are of the Father. We have the same Spirit as the Father, capable of loving. We are adopted children and once belonged to another. He does not want us to forget that we once belonged to another, so we carry that memory with us in our conscience. We will praise Him throughout eternity because of whose we have become and will be the only creatures in the universe He will allow to be worshiped and praised . . . because we are very God.

2 Peter 3:7-13

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The verses of scripture we just read are relative to the end of the Millennium. The Word is upholding the heaven and the earth right now explaining why God said if His Word failed all heaven and earth will pass away. He is holding back the time desiring as many souls saved as will be saved. It is after the Millennium that we get the new heaven and the new earth. While we are on the earth in the Millennium Reign, people and nations will be born.

Revelation 20:1-3

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

The thousand years brings peace on earth, and the earth will be very much like it is now. There will be no animals to hurt us. It will be like the Garden of Eden. The peace of God will cover the earth. Christ will be the King and the Prince of Peace. The sons will cover the earth, reigning and ruling as High Priests for our Master, who will be the temple in Jerusalem.

Revelation 20:5

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

If we reign, we will reign over the Gentile nations that were preserved by God. The dead are the wicked dead who did not come up in the rapture but stayed in hell, in the earth and in the sea until after this time period.

Revelation 20:6-8

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Gog is Russia and Magog is Turkey. Satan is going to be loosed at the end of the thousand years to deceive Russia, Iran, Iraq and Turkey who will come up with an army that “is as the sand of the sea.”

Revelation 20:9

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Russia will gather its allies (as many of them as the sand of the sea) to take the kingdom from Christ and surround Jerusalem. When John speaks of “the camp of the saints” he is talking about Israel. The army will come up against Israel like a flood. Some of the sons will be in Israel during this time when the Great Battle of Armageddon takes place and these countries rebel against the Son of God. That nation will rebel against the Son of God. In the final conquest, God will cause all the enemies to gather in one place and then devour them with fire.

Revelation 20:10

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Some people say hell is not literal, but the scripture says differently. Some say there will not be everlasting torment, but the scripture says differently. People will be coming out of hell. Hell is going to give up its dead at the second resurrection. All that was in hell is cast into the lake. The lake of fire will burn forever and ever, and there will be everlasting torment day and night.

Revelation 20:11

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

The heaven and the earth will be on fire. God is going to do a new thing, so He has to purge the earth.

Revelation 20:12-15

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:1

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

God will redo the earth and remove the sea as He desires no separation, no division of nations and no divisions between the people of God.

Revelation 21:2-9

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

Revelation 21:10-11

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal . . .

What is the glory of God and who is the glory of God? Jesus Christ! The city is the Bride of Christ. Are not the husband and the bride one? When they got married, they became one flesh.

Revelation 21:12-15

12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

Revelation 21:22

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

God and the Lamb (Jesus) are the temple. If you read the first three revelations in the letters John the Revelator wrote by and through the Spirit of God to the churches, he said, “If you overcome, I will make you pillars in the temple.” That is why we do not get any recognition of the Son here. We are to be in the Lamb and this is our third transition.

First we are changed on the inside, and when Christ comes we will be changed into the Body. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15 that when the end of the Millennium comes, the Son gives the kingdom back to the Father.

Revelation 21:23-24

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Who is the light of the world? Who did Jesus say is the light of the world? We are. Anywhere the Lamb is, we are there because we are in Him. There will be nations and kings of the earth but the word “nations” does not mean the sons.

Revelation 21:25-27

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:1-5

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

1 Corinthians 15:24-28

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

When this happens, the Son has taken His Bride and they are one flesh and the Son gives up the kingdom and Himself back to the Father. This is the third transition. God is then all in all. God went through all of this just to make man His habitation. He got Himself the Body of Christ as His habitation. God is a Spirit. He lived in heaven but He wanted people. He wanted a creation that He could live among. God being a Spirit, needed a body in which people could see Him.

It was God’s great desire from the foundation of the world to walk among His people so He prepared Himself an earthy body He could live in down here. He chose earth as His home. His purpose was to move His throne from heaven and let earth be His home. He wanted people who loved Him. He went through all of this just to get Himself a body. When He wanted to come down, the Word said: “Sacrifices and offering thou would not, but a body thou hast prepared for Me.” That was the Word saying, “You have prepared Me a body.” We stopped at the body of Jesus Christ being prepared by Mary. That was not the only body for Christ. That was just the seed . . . the bare grain.

Christ was looking at the body when He said the joy was set before Him. Jesus understood His responsibility, His whole reason for being was to prepare the Father a body. He knew He had to die in order for the seed to produce the plant that was in it. He was savoring the things that belonged to God the Father, and He came to give the Father the good pleasure of His own will. So God raised Himself up His only begotten Son. Jesus was not to be the only son. We, too, are to produce sons. The body Jesus was walking around in was not the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is all of us.

We are the tabernacle of God. When we are translated into that Body, the flesh of His flesh, the bone of His bone, God will step inside and we will be God. Psalm 82 states that God stood up in the congregation of the righteous and said, “I have said ye are gods but if you don’t believe Me you shall die like men.” We are gods in this world, but we see ourselves through the flesh and live beneath who we really are. Paul understood this. He said, “I want to talk to you as spiritual, but you act like men.”

Psalm 33:11-12

11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

God is going to inherit a Body and this is why Jesus was so beloved. He is the one who provided the Father with a tabernacle so He can dwell among men. This is our high calling . . . to provide God with a body and become a part of the Body of Christ as a habitation for the Father.
