Ephesians 5:23-32

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

We must understand what Paul is teaching here: He says, “For this cause we are members of His body, of His flesh, of His bone.” Who is he talking about? He is saying the members of the church are members of Christ’s flesh and members of His bone. Speaking about a wife and a husband, God says a man should leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife. He uses the same terminology in reference to the Body of Christ. He says because we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bone, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” He says that the leaving of mother and father and cleaving to the wife, is the same operation that takes place in the church.

God uses the institution of marriage in the teachings of the Apostle to reveal to us the Body of Christ. He wants us to see the construction of the Body. What really wars against the Body of Christ is the ego of men. It is one of the greatest enemies of the Body of Christ. Men’s ego is at war with His Body. Men must come into agreement with God. Some were brought up in traditional churches, with traditional settings and customs; and the doctrine of their denomination is enmity towards God. Most of the churches are at war with God; some of them ignorantly, and some knowingly. It would be better to be ignorantly at war. Even if one is ignorant, when God brings the truth, we must move inside the truth. There should be no controversy in us regarding the truth. All we should need to know is that it bears witness with the Witness on the inside. God wants to bring man into agreement with Him because man’s ego has been inflated to a degree that makes him believe he is God. He does not dare say so, but that is how he operates in the lives of God’s people.

Galatians 3:27-28

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

In the body of Christ, there are no nationalities, no bond or free, no social status and no gender. Man’s ego wars against this scripture. God told Isaiah that in the latter times He would do a new thing.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God . . .

As men, you have not accepted the new creation the way it was designed by God. The ones who have not accepted it are mainly the men who have been placed over the household of faith. Your prototype, the Scribes and Pharisees, were the first men not to accept it. They had a problem with the construction of the Kingdom too, and it is the same problem men have today. When Jesus came on the scene two thousand years ago, He came into an established, religious system.

Established by Moses, it carried down generation after generation. These men knew that God was going to establish a kingdom on the earth, because He had promised He would. They knew the Messiah was to come and set up that kingdom. When the Messiah came, He said, “I am the Door to the Kingdom, and if any man enters the Kingdom of God, he must come by Me.” They were looking at a man and they responded as though they were listening to a man. Their perception of the coming of Christ was that they were listening to Joseph’s son, the carpenter’s son.

One of them, Nicodemus, had an inkling in the spirit. He left the crowd one night, went to Jesus and said, “Master, (he needed to exalt Christ before he asked him any questions) I know you came from God because no man can do the miracles You have done except God be with him.” Jesus said to Nicodemus, “In order for you to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again. You must be born of the water and the Spirit.” Nicodemus said, “How can a man be born again? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb?” Jesus replied, “You are a Pharisee, a teacher of the law, leading the people and yet you do not understand what I am talking about.” Then He went on to say that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit (St. John 3:6).

The entire nature of his birth is of God.

Romans 8:8-10

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

There is nothing fleshy about the new creation. The new creation is not in the flesh, so do not confuse “in the flesh” with living inside the earthy tabernacle. This earthy tabernacle is not part of the new creation. This earthen vessel has been condemned to death. The new creature has transcended death. The new creature is of God. Every thing about him is of God. There is nothing about the new creature that is of the flesh. We are walking around as a fleshy being and the revelation of who we are is that we are not in the flesh. Cut us and we will bleed, and what you see with your natural eyes is a human being. But God says that is not us. From this point on, we must see no man after the flesh. And so it is written,

1 Corinthians 15:45

45 The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

We see here a difference in the generation of the first Adam and the generation of Jesus Christ. Human beings are living souls, sons of God are quickening spirits. What does that mean? Quick means alive, a quickening spirit is the one who gives life. Where is the quickening manifested? When I lay hands so a lost soul can receive the Holy Ghost. This is not the only thing he is talking about. The first ‘quickening’ is found in Romans 8, where he says the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead shall quicken your mortal body. Since you are a new creature living in this earthen vessel, and the new creature is a quickening spirit, He will quicken your mortal members alive unto God. The inner man can subdue this body and this is the help God gave us. This is one of the functions of the Holy Ghost, to quicken the flesh alive unto God. This is why sin does not feel the same anymore.

No matter what pleasure I once felt in sin, if I go back now there is something taken out of the pleasure. My members are alive unto God. If I put my hands on a man who is not my husband, I do not feel what I used to feel. God has quickened my body through the Spirit that is on the inside, the spiritual being that I am. This is why we have a tendency not to live holy. We make lots of excuses. We give the power to the wrong person. The power to subdue the flesh was given to the inner man. My conscience now has power inside it, and that power is called the Holy Ghost. That power regenerated my conscience and quickened my mortal members alive unto God. I have power now over the law of sin and death that was working in my members when I was of Adam. The seed of Satan used to be in me.

Brothers, that seed used to be in you. Before you met the Lord, the devil lived in you. Those of you who do not know God, have Satan living in you now. If you do not have His Spirit you are none of His even if you go to church religiously. Either you have been born again by the Spirit of God, or you still belong to Adam. If you still belong to Adam’s generation, you belong to Satan. Every part of you belongs to Satan. That’s why you do what he tells you to do. That’s why you cannot live holy. You go to church and you try to do right, but there is something working in your members. It is called the Law of Sin and Death. That law was activated when the spirit of Satan moved into Adam and got into his seed. That seed was passed down to all of Adam’s generations.

The testimony of David is, “I was born in sin and shaped in iniquity.” Conception is by the seed of the man being implanted in-side the womb of the woman. At conception there was sin, because the seed is housed in the semen of man. When we were born our physical body was one of iniquity. Paul called it a body of vanity. Iniquity is vanity. It is enmity towards God. Your body, brothers are vessels of iniquity. It is not your nature to serve God, if you do not know Christ. You can grow up in a religious society and go to church, but there is a war going on.

There is a law working in your members that you cannot destroy. Your will power is not as strong as the law of sin and death. You can say you are not going to do some things and you can try not to do them, but sooner or later you will fall prey to sin. If you can live holy without Christ, there would not have been a need for Him to come to redeem you. The scriptures said Christ came to redeem us from the curse of the law. There was a law working in our members called the law of sin and death. That was Satan providing us with his lust. It is Satan’s lust. It is Satan who is living out his lust through your bodies. Jesus said to the Scribes and the Pharisees that they were of their father, the devil, and it was his lusts they would do (St.John 8:44).

Before the first world was destroyed the Lord said that it pitied Him that He had made man, because man’s imagination was evil continually (Genesis 6:5-7).

How did it get there? There was an enemy living inside man. The spirit of Satan was living in man. In the beginning, Satan looked upon the creation and decided for himself what he was going to do with it. What did he want with creation? Theologically, we say, he wanted to be worshiped. This is true but there is more to it than that. Satan wanted to live out his lust. He had enticed some angels to turn from their first estate. They looked upon the earth and saw the daughters of men and they began to marry the daughters of men. The seed was so powerful that it produced giants. Now you had angelic beings who have transformed themselves into what seems to be a human estate, so they could co-habit with a human female. In doing so, it produced giants.

God had to take those angels off the earth and put them into everlasting chains of darkness, waiting for judgement, waiting for us to judge them. What was the eternal purpose of Satan? Satan’s purpose was to live out his desires through mankind; to take the possession of God and cause it to worship Satan and become a vessel he could live through. What do you think motivates children to go to school and kill their classmates? Satan has such a hatred of God. So he uses the thing that God loves the most to dishonor Him the most. He gets in mankind and does all sorts of despicable things. These are children, babies killing babies.

The age group is getting younger and younger, ten, twelve, thirteen year old are killing children continuously. What is their motivation? Who is motivating them? Satan. He is going after our children. He is targeting our children. Any man who has not given himself over to God still has this seed in him. He is producing children for the devil. If you and your wife do not have the Holy Spirit, all of your children are being produced for Satan to inhabit. You do not like to hear this because you would like to think your children are cute little angels, but in reality they are cute little devils. They are born in sin and shaped in iniquity. You cannot erase that from the Bible. The only thing that changes that is if one of you has the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 7:13-14

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

This does mean that the husband is saved by his wife. The seed of God is so much more powerful than the seed of Satan that it sanctifies the union, the conception. It destroys the seed of Satan in the conception and now the child is born holy. If there is no Holy Ghost in the union, the child is born in sin and shaped in iniquity. By one man sin entered the world (Romans 5:12) and was passed down generation after generation and fell upon those who had never sinned after the similitude of Adam.

That sin was passed down to each one. How much more would the seed of God being passed from generation to generation produce new creatures, quickening spirits.

1 Corinthians 15:45-46

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

In other words, the spiritual man did not come first. The first man was natural. Before we met the Lord we were considered natural. The second creation is a spiritual creation.

1 Corinthians 15:47-49

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

We have to put this inside the context in which Paul is preaching. He said just as we bore the image of Adam we should bear the image of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:34

34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

We sin from a lack of knowledge, but the knowledge of God liberates.

1 Corinthians 15:35

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

Paul is talking about how they are going to come up in the resurrection. How are the dead raised, in what body is the dead raised?

1 Corinthians 15:36

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die . . . That which is sown cannot be quickened alive unless it is dead.

1 Corinthians 15:37

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain . . .

He is saying when the plant comes up, it does not come up looking like what you planted. You can take one grain of corn and when it catches root, if you plant it in good soil, when the plant comes up it is a whole stalk. It has ears on it and each one of those ears has kernels in them. That body was produced by that one grain you planted. That thing was planted by itself, but when it came up it came up in a different body than that which was planted. The kernel was inside the grain. The kernel is the substance of the grain. The kernel is in an embryonic state. It is just like an egg. Once there is some substance, it starts forming another body. He is saying the life of the grain is the kernel. It is the kernel that gives life.

Life cannot be given until the grain, the outer shell, dies. So you put it in the earth and the earth takes off the outer shell so that the thing inside can produce after its own kind. He is talking about Jesus Christ. This is the grain. Jesus is the bare grain that came down from heaven. This was the seed God sent down from heaven, the Word of God. The life is in the grain you saw, but that was not the true body. What you were looking at was not the body, it was the bare grain. If you take that body and plant it in the earth, it is able to produce the body it shall be.

It cannot bring forth the life that is in it until it dies. It has to die first before the life in it can come out. When they killed Christ they did not kill the Body of Christ that was going to be. They simply killed the grain. They put the grain in the earth, so that the seed that was in it could produce after its own kind. It took one bare grain. There is a whole tree inside an apple seed. There was a whole Body that went in the ground inside Christ’s fleshy body, but that is not the body that shall be.

1 Corinthians 15:38-48

38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

Eve came from Adam’s rib, nothing else was used to make her. The Church came from Christ Jesus. Nothing else was used to make it. Everything that the Church is, is of Jesus Christ. There cannot be a body of Christ outside the Body of Christ that exists. That is why Paul told the Ephesians that we are bone of His bone and the flesh of His flesh.

When He comes we shall be Him, because we are His body. We must be translated and must take off this body. We are members of His Body. He told me He has some toes, eyes, ears, arms and legs. There are many members but one body. We are the Body of Christ, literally. What we saw planted in the earth was just a bare grain, but what came up was the plant in the earth. This is the Body of Christ. Let me show you the significance of the Body.

John 14:8-9

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation . . .

He was reconciling men back to God. God was in that body, bringing the world to Himself. God was in Christ.

John 2:16-18

16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

You need to show us a sign to let us know you have a right to do this, that you are of God and He is your Father.

John 2:19

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

This is the sign. The question was, show us a sign of who you are. Who raised up Christ from the dead? God the Father. Who was talking to the Pharisees? God the Father. The Father was in the temple. The body that was standing there talking to them was a temple for the Father. That man that was walking around was the temple for the Father to talk to His people, to reconcile His people back to Him. That was a habitation for the Father. That body was a place for the Father to live and communicate with His people.

John 1:1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

It was the Word that was made flesh: the Word was God so God made Himself flesh, the Word was God and the Word dwelt among men. The eternal purpose of God was understood by the prophets. They did not know how He was going to achieve it, but He said He would dwell among His people, that He shall be their God and we shall be His people. God wanted to communicate with His people, but He needed a body that would place Him among His people throughout eternity.

The body that He sent, Jesus Christ, was just the seed that was to produce God a body to live in throughout eternity. The Body of Christ is destined to be the Body that God uses to dwell among His people. The man Jesus was just a seed and is why at the end of the Millennium the man gives the kingdom back over to the Father and God then is all in all. Now God has manifested in the flesh a body with many members that He designed Himself . . . a type of flesh He can live and dwell in among His creation. We will inherit that flesh if we hold fast the profession of faith. If we leave God, we forfeit being God in the earth.

We will reign as sons for one thousand years, and the kingdom will be given over to the Father when the sonship reign is over. This is what makes our priesthood eternal. God will be on the scene with His entire creation. The Body of Christ is not that body that went in the earth. He says we have another body that is not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. What is that body? It is the bone of Christ’s bone and the flesh of Christ’s flesh. The same flesh that Christ was given, is the one we received. The seed produces after its own kind. He says this human flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. The eternal purpose of God was to prepare Himself a body to live in so that He could be in communion with His creation.

1 Corinthians 3:16

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

We cheat ourselves when we look at ourselves through the flesh. He told us not to see any man, including ourselves, after the flesh. He told us to reckon this body as dead. If you see this body as dead, you see yourself waiting to be translated into that body of heaven. If you see this body as alive, you will never see who you really are. This is the temple of God. You are destined to be the temple of God. This is not the eternal temple. This is a temporary house that will be dissolved. When this earthen tabernacle is dissolved, there is another house waiting for God to dwell in.

The Spirit that is in me is God The new creature that I am is of God and this creature I am will never sin.. That which is in me is very God. That which is in me is God walking here on earth among His people. We need to start communicating with the Spirit that is within us. We need to start talking and listening to our conscience because He is very God. The Holy Ghost is already in us. He has regenerated our conscience.

We need to start walking in the Spirit because the Spirit is who we are. Our conscience is already in it. We must take the mind of the Holy Ghost and put it on my fleshy mind. Our spiritual mind is the Holy Ghost. He knows the things of God because He is God. Right now God is on planet Earth walking among His people. The only thing that will happen at the end of the Millennium is that God will walk in another body, an eternal body, one that will not be corrupted or see corruption. We will reign with God, as the Body of God forever and ever after the Millennium. The Body of Christ is nothing but a habitation for God to live among His creation.
