Choosing a Conversation

As I stated before, a conversation will either lead to life or death. My brothers and sisters we have to be steadfast in our choice to follow the voice of God. God offers total truth and in that truth is His light. There is no darkness on the path of the conversation He has with us. We will be deprived of the pleasures of the world but the rewards of the world to come are far greater than anything our eyes have ever beheld. Obeying God requires sacrifice that many are not willing to make. But Jesus taught us a valuable lesson.

St. Matthew 19:29

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Obeying a Godly conversation

1. Pursuing the relationships God has ordained

2. Forsaking all relationships that take you off course

3. Heeding to Godly counsel

4. Reading and obeying His word

Obeying an evil conversation

1. Sin

2. Holding onto relationships and/or things God have said to leave behind

3. Going after things God has forbidden for your life

Because of the faithfulness of God, He will always make plain to us what he requires even knowing what the devil will offer later on. He knows that his deal is far better and He trusts us to make the choice for ourselves. We need to remember that we are servants to whomever we yield our members. It is not worth our soul no matter what the devil offers. Just as God is the same, the devil is. He desires to steal, kill and destroy. He has already been damned and he wants us to share in his damnation but the choice is ours. God’s purpose has always been for us to inherit eternal life. This was his purpose for Adam and it remains the same for the children of God. He has given us a choice and the power to do so. It is not hard to obey the Lord when your desires and affections are unto Him just as there is no struggle in the wife that sees no alternative to her husband to commit adultery. Jesus said:

St. John 14:30

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Will we too have that testimony? We can if we are content with our conversation with God.
