The Power of Holiness

Chapter One

The next move of the Lord in this ministry and the Body at large is the power of holiness. It is the power over sin and all the works of Satan. This is necessary for the purpose of God to be fulfilled. The power of the Holy Ghost is about to be manifested in the lives of the Sons and their ministry to the people of God and the world. The Lord has systematically brought us to a place of purity and preference for holiness. It has been a long road of overcoming traditions, lusts, wants, offenses and pride. Nevertheless, He brought us to walking in the Spirit. There are so many things that I have learned simply by listening to the Holy Ghost and watching Him work. These things translate into spiritual principles that govern the movement of God in the earth.

The following is a list of some of these principles that will create an atmosphere of righteousness, within which the Spirit of the Lord will not be offended to enter and perform the works of God.

HUMILITY

I am so excited about the faithfulness of the Lord. He has made the Word so vivid and easy to entreat. There is nothing to replace the humility of the flesh that will satisfy the Lord. It is the route the Sons of God must take if we are to fulfill our purpose here on earth. There are no other options. Our brother Paul, being abundant in revelations and understanding, contributes his success in ministry to the power of humility. While at Miletus he sent for the elders from Ephesus.

Acts 20:18-19

18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

I thought I understood all the ramifications of humility, but I learned that from the position of the Spirit, true humility is of the mind first, and then the flesh. God is the Father of Spirits. He knows the deepest secrets of the heart. He knows the emotions, aspirations and motivations of the soul. Therefore, He is not moved by the mere humble actions of the flesh. He is only impressed with a complete destruction of the influence of flesh, gendered by the mind. THIS IS CALLED PURITY. Humility is not a reality, until the mind and heart are in agreement with the deeds of the flesh. In other words, it is not about saying all the right things; it is about thinking and feeling all the right things, as well. The mind must be in agreement with the plan of God for your life, even if you do not know the details of that plan.

Acts 20:22

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

I think it is necessary to redefine what it is to manifest Christ. Maybe then, others in the Body of Christ will comprehend the humility of the flesh. Oftentimes, it is perceived that a revelation of Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the miracle man, the healer, the walker on the water and the raiser of the dead. But the true Christ is a man who submits to all manner of obedience to the will of the Father. He is the man who lives to please the Father without any consideration for the flesh. In order for this to be true, the mind of Christ must be in agreement with the will of the Father. It is the fleshy mind that controls the activities of the flesh, and it is with the mind that we serve the Lord.

Psalm 119:165

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Of course, the answer to achieving this purity is walking in the Spirit of Christ. In doing so, nothing that is required by the Word of God will offend the Sons. When the Sons walk in the mind of Christ, there is no struggle to obey. However, I am writing these things to help you identify your walk outside the boundaries of the Spirit. WHAT YOU THINK AND FEEL IS THE EVIDENCE OF SPIRITUAL LOCATION, MORE SO THAN WHAT YOU DO. Remember, submission is an attitude of the heart. It is the disposition of your heart that moves the Lord. It is the heart that is able to reflect the grace of God in your life.

Proverbs 15:33

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Wisdom instructs us to walk in a referencing fear of the Lord. We must esteem His Word more valuable than our own lives. If you cannot agree with this, then you are simply going through the motions and worshipping the god of your imagination. Humility is the commandment of the Lord. It is His righteous judgment of the flesh. It is also used to prove our worthiness of the Kingdom. True humility yields the greatest manifestation of Christ that can be seen in this world. Many are deceived by the abundant revelations of the Word they might have received through teaching and preaching. But the real test, as to whether that Word was truly comprehended, is in the attitude towards others who may not know some of the things you know. A humble spirit is one of compassion, patience and love. Even when it has to identify error, it is merciful. It is a passion for the well being of others that drives the humble soul. We here at Bible Teachers International and Mary Banks Global Training Center must consider our ways. It is not the will of the Father for us to walk in a spirit of arrogance and pride; exalting ourselves above those who may be less knowledgeable in some areas. Academics are not enough. You must comprehend the Spirit of the Word you know. We have nothing in this ministry that we did not receive from the Father.

1 Peter 5:5-10

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

I want to impress upon you once again, to be exalted by God is to give more exposure to the Christ within you, the suffering servant. He is the one who is going to be exalted to the world. Exaltation does not simply mean that you will be exalted in wealth, earthly prestige, or things that gender the pride of life. IT IS THE LIFE AND HUMILIATION OF CHRIST THAT IS GOING TO BE EXALTED. It is then and only then, that the power of the Jesus ministry can be manifest. Bring the flesh under. Give no place to it. Want nothing and seek nothing, except the will of the Father. Do not allow the humiliation of the flesh to be an offense. It is the power to achieve your purpose for being.
