II. THE LOCATION OF THE HEART

The heart is the part of man that God discerns and judges. The location of a man’s heart is the location of the man. St.

Matthew 7:22

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name have done many wonderful works?

Young people do not be deceived to believe that God is impressed by what you do. He is not, for in the twenty-third verse of the same chapter Christ says,

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Your works may be many, but God still judges the heart. Some come to the Youth Advance as a form of work unto God, but if you do not allow the Word of God to take root in your heart, God cannot trust you. You will only be a person performing church duties but never knowing the power which is in Christ simply because your heart is not totally unto God.
