I. EXPERIENCING THE LIFE OF CHRIST

Recently I have been watching the youth in the different churches and I see their lives clearly. The sad part is they themselves do not see the root of their deficiencies. Some have even begun to ask within themselves, “Why don’t I stay in the Spirit?” Some even feel or say to themselves, “What is the point of coming to the Youth Advance?” They feel this way because when they return home, they know they will go right back to living after the flesh. Young people, the reason you can walk in the Spirit at the Youth Advance is because of the spiritual surroundings.

When you come to the Youth Advance the Sons of God occupy your space and the whole environment is spiritual. When you come, you experience constant prayer, constant teaching, and sometimes even witnessing to the lost. In other words, you experience the Life of Christ. When you go home you do not continue in His Life. Some go back to worldly conversations on the phone, talking about how fine this boy or girl is, while others spend their days and nights in front of a television and wonder why they are not growing in God.

In all these things the flesh is fed, not the New Creature, but if you continue in those things you do at the Youth Advance, remaining in the Spirit will not be a task. However, you already know this. The reason you do not continue in the Spirit is not a matter of a lack of knowledge for we know more than most, but because of the location of the heart.
