CONFERENCE GUIDELINES

The International President of the Brotherhood will receive all information pertaining to the transportation needs of the delegates from each location at btibrotherhood@bibleteachers.com or from MBM Global Conferences. The information will include the names of delegates, times of arrival and departure, airline and any other relevant information. Delegates will be required to pay at their locations to cover their travel expenses to and from the airport. The International President will organize and assign transportation with the required written information for pick-up. Transporters will also be provided with maps, toll monies and gas where needed.
He will also be required to provide a Conference Duty Roster to the local presidents of all locations attending the conference. The roster should include the locations to be on duty for each session as well as the dress code. A copy of this list is to be submitted to MBM Global Conferences. He should also receive a list of all brothers planning to attend any conference at least a month in advance.
The Brotherhood is required to ensure the cleanliness of the conference facility at all times. They will also be responsible for ensuring that water and ice is provided for the congregation throughout the conference. MBM Global Conferences may also assign other areas to be overseen by the Brotherhood. The International President should ensure that his team knows the procedures to be followed and the required forms to be completed prior to their arrival at the conference. The International President or his representative should endeavor wherever possible to arrive ahead of the scheduled conference to meet with the MBM Global Conference team to ensure all requirements are met. A report is to be submitted to MBM Global Conference at the end of each conference.
ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE
The Chief Apostle appoints the international positions of this board. The Senior Pastors appoints the board at each location. All board members must be mindful to submit in all areas to the counsel and directives of this Ministry. The board is required to work as a team in all areas where they operate. The Brotherhood must become passionate about operating in their auxiliary, and implement the necessary training and activities to make it appealing and stimulating to the members so that they desire to continue to be holy at all times. The leadership positions on this board both internationally and locally carry one (1) year tenures, and changes may or may not be made by the Chief Apostle or local Senior Pastor at that time. Changes in any leadership position are not necessarily a reflection of performance but more of an opportunity for others to be given a platform to develop spiritually.
ASSISTANT DEPUTY DIRECTOR:
is appointed by the Chief Apostle and is to ensure that all International Presidents of auxiliary boards are spiritually equipped and administratively capable of fulfilling their responsibilities to their boards. They are responsible for the training of the international boards and the continued spiritual growth and development of all auxiliaries.
INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT: – is responsible for ensuring the establishment of this auxiliary board at all locations. He should be in communication with the Senior Pastors regarding the direction of the board at each location. He is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the auxiliary internationally, and while not becoming involved with the day-to-day operations of any location must see himself as a nurturer of the board leaders. He is also responsible for overseeing the duties of the brotherhood at all international functions, ensuring that the coordination and rostered duties are submitted to the locations ahead of the particular function. It is also imperative that he maintains contact with MBM Global Conferences regarding scheduled conference.
The International President must have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the operations of the board and be able to effectively articulate it. He must impart the importance of being steadfast as well as be an example of servitude and a team player to the board members in order to ensure their continued spiritual growth and development. The outgoing International President and or the Assistant Deputy Director BTI will be responsible for his training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Train the local Presidents in their duties as well as to oversee the spirituality of the boards internationally.
• Assist presidents in the establishment of local Brotherhood Boards at all locations.
• Ensure that the local Presidents are spiritually capable to guide and disciple their boards.
• Ensure that the local boards are administratively capable of fulfilling their responsibilities to the auxiliary.
• Ensure that the Board members have a comprehensive understanding of their manuals and are able to effectively articulate it to the auxiliary.
• Impart the importance of being steadfast and being an example of servitude and a team player not only to the board, but also to the auxiliary.
• Ensure that each Board member fully understands his role on the board.
• Conduct transmittals and shut-ins periodically in the various locations at the request of the Pastorate.
INTERNATIONAL VICE-PRESIDENTS: - appointed to designated regions, the International Vice-Presidents are responsible for assisting the International President establish this auxiliary board at all locations assigned as well as oversee the spirituality of the boards. They will assist in the coordination and delegation of duties at international functions. They are to meet once a week physically or by net meeting with the International President. The International Vice President may be required to oversee other specific areas of ministry that may be assigned. The International President and Vice-Presidents form the leadership team for the Brotherhood and must prayerfully seek how to fulfill their responsibility to the Auxiliary.
LOCAL PRESIDENT: - is the leader of the board locally and is responsible for overseeing the board both spiritually as well as naturally and should be a support to the local pastors. He must rely on the Holy Ghost to direct him as an under-shepherd for what he will need to move the auxiliary spiritually. He should be mindful to allow his life to be an example of one living in the Spirit and committed to the vision of the Ministry, in order to lead the board effectively. This is crucial training in leadership, for the Lord will only use him in ministry to the degree that he will seek for a pure heart and strive to maintain character that is above reproach.
Leaders should involve other men outside of the leadership of the board to help coordinate the various activities or committees. (i.e., planning events for the “Single Men Seminar”) He will work closely with his international leaders to ensure that all the men move to a solid foundation in the Word and that they take on their natural responsibilities. The board must pray and fast together regularly as they seek the Father’s direction and intervention in the lives of the men they lead.
The President will be required to submit a report to the International President bi-annually June 15th and December 15th.
Responsibilities
• Works closely with the Pastoral Overseer and International Leaders for his own spiritual development as well as to communicate any concerns regarding the members of the Board.
• Oversees the spiritual and administrative development of the Auxiliary.
• Ensures that the administrative functions of the Board are carried out effectively and efficiently.
• Oversees the planning of fellowship activities for the Brotherhood in advance.
• Oversees weekly meetings of the Board.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Brotherhood Manual and be able to effectively articulate it to the Auxiliary.
• Selects group leaders with the approval of the Pastorate for the various responsibilities as laid out in this manual and ensures that group leaders are maintaining regular
contact with their cell groups or teams.
LOCAL VICE PRESIDENT: - shares the responsibility of leading the Auxiliary both naturally and spiritually. The Vice President is not a figurehead to function only in the absence of the President. It is important that he be active in overseeing those specific areas of responsibility assigned to him as this will aid in his spiritual development. In the absence of the President, he will assume the responsibility for the Auxiliary. Responsibilities:
• Assists in overseeing the spiritual and administrative training as well as coordination of those selected for home or hospital visitation teams.
• Oversees the home and hospital visitation teams and ensures that each facet of that ministry is developed and worked to its fullest potential.
• Assists the President in the planning of fellowship activities.
• Attends weekly Auxiliary meetings.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Brotherhood Manual and be able to effectively articulate it to the membership.
LOCAL SECRETARY: - is an important part of this Auxiliary. He not only oversees the administrative functions of the board, which includes taking minutes in meetings and keeping records, but must be spiritually capable of assisting the leaders in developing the Auxiliary.
• Maintains an updated list of all members, with other relevant information such as phone numbers, birthdays and anniversaries of all the membership.
• Maintains a current Transportation Information Database.
• Will also be in contact with and communicate information to each member of the board.
• Keeps a record of all events planned for all the groups within the Auxiliary, ensuring that rosters for meetings, activities, and Shut-In visitation schedules are posted in the
sanctuary at least a month in advance.
• Responsible for keeping minutes of all meetings and recording the general topics and decisions made. Minutes should be typed and distributed to the Board Members in
a timely manner prior to the next meeting.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Brotherhood Manual and be able to effectively articulate it to the membership.
• Must attend weekly Board Meetings regarding spiritual and administrative responsibilities.
• May be assigned to oversee one of the areas of responsibility given to the Brotherhood and ensure that each facet of that area is developed and worked to its full
potential
LOCAL TREASURER: - is an essential part of the board and does not only oversee the financial functions of the auxiliary, but must be spiritually capable of assisting leaders in the development of the membership. He will keep proper and complete records of all dues, as well as an account of all funds spent and the purpose of its usage. The president must authorize all expenditures.
• Records should be clear and accurate and available for perusal at any time.
• Ensures that monthly dues are collected and recorded.
• All other financial transactions received are to be recorded and distributed as is approved by the President. If the dues reach a substantial sum, it may be wise to open
an account or give it to the bookkeeper of the church for safekeeping.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Brotherhood Manual and be able to effectively articulate it to the membership.
• Must attend weekly board meetings regarding spiritual and administrative responsibilities.
• May be assigned to oversee one of the areas of responsibility given to the Brotherhood and ensure that each facet of that area is developed and worked to its full
potential
DUES The Brotherhood has some expenses that relate to activities such as Christmas parties, luncheons, brunches, etc. Each member is asked to contribute US$10.00 each month, or the equivalent in your country, to assist with the various expenses that may be incurred.
CONCLUSION
We trust that this Manual will prove to be an effective tool in the growth and development of the Brotherhood at your location. The Organizational Chart at the end of this manual shows the flow of leadership within the Ministry. Study Booklets on various topics of interest will be available from MBM Faith Library at a nominal cost and we trust that these will assist you in keeping your team active in ministry and loving your families and fellow servants in the Lord.
