Rejection Od Truth

Let us talk about what this rejection of the truth really means. When unbelievers in the Body of Christ do not accept every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, there is no way for them to perform all that the scriptures demand of them. Jesus said, the works He did, we would do also. But this saying was based on our belief. Without belief, it is impossible to walk as He walked, or to do as He did.

Are you comfortable with that? If we do not walk as He walked on this earth, we will not make it into His eternal Kingdom! But it seems this, too, is another area of unbelief. But a closer look at these unbelievers reveals some interesting facts confirmed by the Word of God.

The motivation for living in someone’s past is the bitterness of offense. But these people are quick to say they have nothing in their hearts against anyone. But the Holy Ghost is a discerner of the heart, and He knows that is not the truth.

But then too, there is the matter of ... Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man (Matthew 15:11). It is quite easy for evil thinking and gross insults to proceed out of their mouths. But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities

(2 Peter 2:10).

To embrace Christ is to embrace everything He taught. To embrace His teachings is to deny self. Nevertheless, to reject any of His teachings is to embrace selfishness, pride, and arrogance. These unbelievers are blind to the operation of the Spirit. They do not walk in the Spirit, and deny the fact that others do.

“I don’t know anyone who walks in the Spirit,” is their boast. And they are right; they don’t know. They are blind and cannot discern the spiritual disposition of the people of God who have overcome the world, and are indeed walking in the mind of Christ. They themselves reject that mind; so it is impossible for them to think as Christ would think, to love as He would love, or to feel as He would feel about any given situation.

They are easily offended and often look for any opportunity to drag those who are spiritual into ungodly confrontations or to provoke negative character. To be successful at such tactics, gives further justification for their own carnality. These people are bitter because they can feel the fact that they are being judged by the Word of God. But they cannot fight with Him, so they take it out on those who truly seek to please Him without reservation.

But time is running out for disobedience. The days of the rebellious saint are shortened. There is no need for them to continue to encumber the ground, seeing as how they always deny Him the glorification the Holy Ghost was sent to give the Father.

They see themselves as just; sometimes even more righteous than those who do walk in the Spirit. Most of the time, that is due to them living in the overcomers past. They hold fast to the overcomers past mistakes or sin. They never allow themselves to forget; and that is their excuse for not trusting leadership. They have become spots and blemishes in the Household of Faith. They truly have no wisdom, because their pride has deceived them.

So what is left? Where does one go from here? The truth is, you try to walk in parallelism. Unbelievers in the Body of Christ walk parallel to the truth. How? They come to church consistently enough to stay breast of what is being taught. Though they sift the Word and make void the consequences of such behavior; they embrace enough truth to be able to feel comfortable amongst the saints.

But this walk cannot and will not be sustained. God will not allow it to. When there is a rejection of the truth, it is impossible to walk in the Spirit. This is a fact we have already established. However, it has also been established that those who do not walk in the oneness of the Spirit, will never make it to then eternal Kingdom of God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus goes on to say, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10:1).

To attempt to walk this walk without walking in the Spirit is futile. Such a walk is one of willpower. Your will is not an attribute of the Holy Ghost. Your will is loyal to self and self-preservation. Yes, you can make a resolve that you will obey the commandments of God; but if that resolve is made without acknowledging the Holy Ghost as the power that transformed you into a creature likened unto Christ, you will never manifest Him. If you think to walk in righteousness without accepting the fact that ‘as he is, so are we,’ then you are in for a rude awakening.

If we were able to walk in the righteousness of God without the nature of God, and the power of the Holy Ghost, then there would have been no need for Christ. God knows that this is foolishness and He will prove it to you. Your thinking is not that of the mind of Christ, therefore He will reveal its fallacy.

God will be faithful to bring about trials or situations that will reveal that you are not walking in the Spirit. He has to reveal this to you and to all who think to reject acknowledging the workmanship of God and the divinity of the sons. Therefore, the roads will begin to depart. There will be no more parallelism. You will not be able to see, or comprehend the walk in the Spirit. And yes, you will most likely become offended when you are told that you do not walk in the Spirit.

Do not allow this to happen to you. Judge yourself. “Do I think like Christ? Do I feel as Christ feels about any given situation? Do I obey God in all things, at all times? Do I walk in the love of God?” If your answer to any of these is no, then you do not walk in the oneness of the Spirit of God. There is no way anyone is going to make it into the Kingdom without surrendering and obeying the Word. But obedience is manifest when we become what the Word says God created us to be; manifested sons of God.
