Knowledge And Power

My son and I were sharing the Word of God with each other regarding what has become a very controversial issue in the church; ‘Walking in the Spirit.’ The Holy Ghost revealed to us that there are many who have sat under this ministry for years who are still not walking after the Spirit. But the thing is, they really believe that they are.

These are very good saints who have been in and stayed with the ministry and its teachings for years. They love the Lord and are born-again. However, they are trying to serve God in unbelief.

If you do not believe all of what is written, then you only believe parts of the truth. That is the definition of cheating servitude. You want to serve the Lord, in spite of your unbelief in some of the things He has said concerning your sonship. If this is the case, then the following scripture has no meaning for you.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Regarding Jesus, and according to the above, it is His way, His word and His life that will get us back to God, the Father. We often go to the 17th chapter of St. John to teach the oneness of the sons with the Father and the Master. However, Jesus taught this principle long before He got to the Garden of Gethsemane.

John 14:11

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Unbelievers in the Body of Christ seek to circumvent this passage. But that is impossible. The Word of God will stand and the precepts of man will fail.

But Jesus went on to say,

John 14:12-14

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

There is no way to believe in Christ, without believing in what He says. There is no way around that one simple fact. If you do not believe in His message, then you do not believe in Him.

The success or fullness of the work of the ministry is predicated on our belief in the things the Master has said. If we believe in His oneness with the Father, then we should also believe in our own.

In the Garden, Jesus prayed for the sons of God, requesting that they be made one with Him and the Father, in the same manner as He was one with the Father.

John 17:11

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 17:20-21

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Ask yourself why it is so impossible for you to believe that as Jesus is, so are you.

If you believe that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels (made a man), so that He might suffer death; then, you must also believe that (as a man) He walked the earth with the Father of all creation living in Him, doing mighty works of righteousness. You must also believe that this same man was able, by the Spirit living in Him, to live holy everyday of His life here on earth.

Is it so inconceivable to think that if God was able to birth one son, He is capable of birthing many more? And if He declares all His sons to be as the first, then that truth will stand regardless as to who believes it or not.
