The Power Of The Holy Ghost III: Make Them One

If Jesus was to maintain preeminence in all things pertaining to the sons of God, then every son must be as He is. This is the first declaration and the first appointment or boundary of the Faith: Oneness with the Father and the Son.

Oneness

John 17:11

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

I am convinced that it is not only the lack of apostolic order that has hindered the Body of Christ and its leaders, but it is also an unwillingness to change. While writing this material I heard the Lord say, “My people have come to accept division, failure, and a false concept of salvation as a part of my church. But I am holy, as is my Father. Except they believe as the scriptures have spoken, they will perish with all my enemies.” It is true. Many in the Body of Christ have accepted rejection of some parts of the Word as ok, simply because they do not come out in open rebellion against it. But the truth is, they have rejected it in their hearts, so the penalty is the same. Rebellion is a sin, and location is not an issue. But the Word is clear on this matter.

John 17:20-21

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Here is where the first boundary was set. Jesus rehearsed the will of the Father in His prayer, made just before His crucifixion. Make them one. At some point we all must come to terms with this truth or perish as the heathen.

Please do not miss the implication here. We were made one with the Father and the Son, so that the world might believe that God did send Jesus. Ask yourself, “How is it possible for your life here on the earth to convince the world that Jesus did come?” There is only one explanation, you must be as Jesus is. When the world looks upon you, they must see that same Jesus. In the next verses Jesus goes into even more details regarding this oneness of the sons with the Godhead.

John 17:22-23

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

The best definition of ‘One’ is ‘the same.’ Therefore, Jesus was asking the Father to make us ‘the same’ even as they were ‘the same.’ This ‘sameness’ would be accomplished by the fact that we would be made ‘perfect’ in Christ. Now the Holy Spirit is going to give you another opportunity to believe this report. Out of the mouth of two or more witnesses, every word must be established. Let us look at the people of the script who confirmed the teachings of Christ.

JESUS: God’s True Worshippers Are Spirit Beings

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The declaration has been made. God is a Spirit! The church does not question this truth. However, the same Jesus said those who worship God must do so in the Spirit and in truth. If you are not a spirit being, then how is it possible for you to truly worship God according to the mandates of the New Covenant?

PAUL: We Are Heavenly Beings

1 Corinthians 15:46-49

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, suchare they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

I do not understand why the people of God would wrestle with these truths. Especially after they have been taught over and over again and they can find no scriptural rebuttal to justify their disposition. To not embrace this truth is to see one’s self after the flesh. But I warn you, flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.

PAUL: The New Creature

As I sat meditating on this word, the Lord began to minister to me. Christ died for the sins of the world. Not just for our sins, but for the sins of the whole world.

14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).

In order for the atonement to manifest in your life, you must believe that Jesus died for your sins. Likewise, if you do not believe the sons of God are as Christ, you will never manifest sonship, walking in the Spirit, or the true righteousness of God.
