Fingerprints On The Mind: Why Jesus Is The Answer

It is clear that satan truly uses these paths to the soul to influence it to do his will. With all the powers of darkness working against mankind, it is apparent that we needed a Savior to deliver us from this wretched, helpless estate. There is a scripture that truly answers the question of why Jesus is the answer:

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God,

who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, ...

This new creature is not the old man patched up or charged up with some spiritual powers. This born-again believer is not of the human race, he simply lives in a human body. He is created a son of God, ever as his Master.

1John 4:17

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

We talked a lot about the five senses being the gate to the soul of humanity. Well, in begetting the sons of God through Jesus Christ, the Father did not leave our presence in this world vulnerable to our five senses. He knew the ability of satan to exploit them, by using them as channels for temptations.

Therefore, He made us completely new - body soul and spirit. Now, the first thing you want to check me on is the new body. No, we do not have the spiritual body that is awaiting us at the first resurrection; and yes, we have the same physical body that we had before salvation. But just as our spirit (conscience),purged of sin, and our soul was regenerated, our natural body was also purged of the law of sin and death. The soul and spirit (our inward parts) were joined to the Holy Ghost, to birth a new creature.

1Corinthians 6"17

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit;

The body of sin (the old man) died at salvation, and was resurrected in the newness of life.

Romans 6:6-8

6. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8.Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

You must agree with the word of God. The old man died at salvation and was resurrected by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost

Romans 8:11

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that

dwelleth in you.

The quickening of our bodies, made the body alive unto God. Just as the soul became a new creature, the body became a new man.

Consider the following passages:

Ephesians 4:24

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Colossians 3:10

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

If you are truly born again, then your body is a new man; it is free from the captivity of sin. It is the temple of God. It is holy and it is expected to be an acceptable living sacrifice.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law

of sin and death.

But this new man has something more than the old man. He is created in the image of Christ. As He is, so are we.

Isaiah 11:2-4

2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:...

This new man is equipped with more than the natural senses of his body; He is endowed with the spiritual senses of the Holy Ghost. He has a spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and quick understanding, which is the spirit of discernment. No, my friends, God did not leave us totally vulnerable to our natural senses or the feebleness of our fleshy mind. But he also instructed us to, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5.

You cannot successfully fix your mind to combat all that satan is capable of bringing your way. If so, you would not need to beborn again. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1Cor 2:16. If you embrace who and what you are, then you would obtain victory over all the power of the enemy. If we live in the Spirit, then we should also walk in the Spirit. This is what Paul said to the Galatians. But he also said;

Galatians 5:24

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

To the parent: I hope that this lesson has informed you of some of the devices the devil uses to distract and to move the young people off-course and out of the will of God. To the young: I pray that this has been both informative and encouraging to you.

1 John 2:15-16

15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of theeye, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world.

To the Body of Christ:

Embrace who you are. There is no new thing under the sun, or in this world. Submit to the Word of God and the Christ that is in you. There are no fingerprints on His mind.
