False Prophecies

We are in a time where the church is greatly suffering from its lack of order. The scriptures promised us that in the last days false prophets will arise and deceive many, nevertheless, many of us play ignorant to what God is plainly showing us.

Deuteronomy 18:22

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

The scriptures are very clear as it relates to identifying the voice of God through the prophets, however, it is our responsibility to adhere to what God has already explained.

If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord concerning events of the future, it is evident that God has spoken through that prophet if the events actually occur.

However, we see many in the church operating contrary to what is outlined. Many have spoken words in the name of the Lord that have not come to pass. In some cases, the very opposite has happened. The scripture straightforwardly says, that if this is the case, the Lord has not spoken. However, when we have a love for personalities or even our own will, we will not mind putting a spin on false prophecies to convince ourselves that we did not miss God.

However, if you have ever spoken or believed a false prophecy, the very thing you need to do is examine why you believed it in the first place.

Matthew 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs

and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

John 10:27 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:4-5

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep

follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not

the voice of strangers.

It does not matter how convincing a false prophecy is - the elect of God cannot be deceived. The following scripture gives us insight into why this is so.

1 John 4:1&4

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:

because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 John 4:4

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he

that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The Holy Ghost, which is the Spirit of Truth, abides in us. He is a greater influence on our hearts than the lies of the devil and of the heart. If we are truly in fellowship with God, the Holy Spirit will indicate to us whether the things we are hearing are of God or not.

1 John 2:26-27

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need

not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,

and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit, will always reveal the heart and mind of the Father to our hearts. This is a duty He has taken upon Himself and His faithfulness to it keeps us from being deceived.

How then are so many in the Body of Christ being deceived? The truth is that many we call the Body of Christ are not actually filled with the Holy Ghost, however, let us speak concerning those who are actually saved: A lack of fellowship with God causes us neither to be able to hear the voice of God or discern His leading. Fellowship is more than communication with the Father, it actually begins with a sinless life.

1 John 1:5-6

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,

that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and

do not the truth:

Sin is a blinding force that separates us from our Father. God does not fellowship with those who walk in sin. Moreover, if we do not have the heart to purify ourselves, we will be blinded and deceived by sin. Here is where the line needs to be drawn. When many hear sin, they simply stop at lying, stealing, violence and lusts of the world. But our desires and mentality can be sinful too.

1 John 2:15-16

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

To love the world and the things thereof is sin. Consider what I say with a keen mind.

God is addressing more than simply the actions of lust and pride, but also a love for the world.

2 Timothy 2:4

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;

that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Peter 2:20

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge

of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

ENTANGLE - to weave in, to entwine, i.e. to involve with The scripture warns us not to get entangled or involved with the affairs of this world. When we become entwined with the world, we will begin to see spiritual things through the eyes of the world. We will look at the powers of this world and believe that they are the only means by which God moves, when in fact all the powers that be are ordained by God for a specific purpose.

The powers of this world were never ordained to build and oversee the Kingdom of God on the earth. Rather, it is the church’s responsibility to exact the will of the Father concerning God’s Kingdom in the earth. The church is led by the Holy Ghost, and the powers that be, whoever they are, are always according to God’s will. However, if we do not accept this, when the rulers of this earth dishonor God, we will believe that God is failing in the earth.

We will use our prayers as a mechanism to help God achieve what He is failing to do. However, God accomplishes His purpose with ease, and our prayers should be according to His will. A lack of prayer does not weaken the will of God. On the contrary, God always has His elect praying according to His will. Once again, the purpose of Christ is given to the Church. It is our responsibility to deliver the lost from sin, and raise for God a holy people who will stand for Him in this evil world.

I dare say a majority of the prophets have lost sight of this. They, as aforementioned, cannot see beyond governments, presidents, kings, and prime ministers. Rather than seeking the move of the Holy Ghost in the land, they seek to instate unbelievers who uphold laws that partially reflect the principles of God. The country is subjected to these laws whether they like it or not. However, laws cannot deliver anyone from sin.

2 Peter 3:13-14

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new

earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye

may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Seeing that this present earth shall pass away, our purpose must be the eternal security of souls. We must seek to have them escape the corruptions of this world, and secure their spot in heavenly Jerusalem.

I reiterate here, many of today’s prophets have lost sight of this. They have become spiritual politicians, and their prophecies are according to this world, as opposed

to the Kingdom of God. Moreover, their prophecies do not direct the global Body of Christ, but only their nation.

An Example

In 2021 here in the USA, there was a transition of power from President Trump to President Biden. Prior to this there were many prophecies that went forth regarding the election. Some proclaimed that Trump would endure a second term, however, this was far from the truth.

Now after it came to light that President Biden won, some of these prophets began

doubling down on the proclamation they gave, despite it being revealed as false. On the other hand, there were few who had enough spiritual integrity to apologize to the people concerning what they had said. What would cause a prophet to double down on words they have said but have been manifested as false? Firstly, they do not believe the scriptures concerning prophecy.

They have made prophecy pliable. However, God is plain concerning it. The mere fact their prophecies did not come true should have been enough for them to realize that God did not speak, however, they are willing enough to either alter the prophecy or imply corruption in the natural realm.

However, God cannot lie, and His Word always comes to pass. The problem is, therefore, not with God, but with us. We have replaced our trust in the heart and mind of God with a trust in the systems of this world. Therefore, to reveal this, God has allowed these prophets to prophesy out of their own hearts. The apparent falseness of the prophecy should have encouraged them to repent and examine their hearts, however, many have justified themselves before God.

Many in the church are entangled in the world and have not perceived that the Church is a spiritual race here on earth. They cannot discern the mystery of Christ and its relevance to the Church’s tenure on the earth. The knowledge that the Church is a spiritual race causes us to set our affections on things above as opposed to the things of this earth.

It encourages us to remain holy, and seek to rescue as many out of the world as possible. It encourages us to pray for all the powers that be, that they exact the will of God in the earth. It always points to Eternity. The false prophets, however, cannot see the divinity of the Church, because they are not under the order of God.

For the church to return to the ways of God it must return to apostolic order as defined in Ephesians 4:11-15 and 1 Corinthians 12:28. Apostolic order reveals the mystery of Christ, and exposes the perspective from which

the Church should be seen. By this knowledge a prophet or any hearer can judge prophecy. Prophecy should be judged from the perspective of the mystery of Christ. It is time for the church to return to order. Blessed are those who obey the Lord.
