Prayers For Miracles And Healing

The greatest illustration of the mind of ministry I have ever seen in the Bible is that of Jesus Christ.

Acts 9:36-41

36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called

Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and alms deeds which she did.

37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments

which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows,

presented her alive.

Acts 28:8

And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

When we walk in true holiness before the Father, there is never a moment when we are not being led by Him. Our footsteps are therefore being ordered by Him to fulfil His will. With that being said, if you ever encounter a time where any sort of miracle is needed, you must first recognize that the situation did not happen by chance; rather, you were led into it by God. You can trust the holiness you render to the Father. Seeing that you were led into the situation by God, you can ask what you will, and He will move upon your request.

The walk in the Spirit causes you to know the heart and mind of God. Thus, we should not be contemplating what the will of God is while we are in the situation. You must trust that the Father will guide you into His will by an unction within. You will be made aware of His will by an inner knowing.

Nevertheless, let us not forget the excellency of the power is of God. Therefore, we must always acknowledge in the heart that the power and the glory is God’s. This is what the apostles were doing in the scriptures above. Before they worked the miracle, they acknowledged God by praying. They were not necessarily establishing a formula for miracle-working; rather, their dependence and respect for God was being manifested.
