Chapter 10

We are told that in the latter days knowledge would increase. Well, that day is here. The Father is pouring out revelation regarding Himself and the sons. The deep is calling the deep but will the people of God adhere to this great happening? That is the question that haunts me every day. Will we believe the report, or will we simply go on as others and have church as usual?

Nevertheless, the scripture is clear. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14). Why does Jesus say such things if they are not true? Only a few will find their way into the Kingdom of God. It is a righteous and holy place and only the righteous shall enter into it.

Peter was also concerned about the spiritual disposition of the saints when he wrote, For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:17-18). This judgment is upon us. God has given us truths that we have not heard in the mainstream preaching of the gospel.

WITH TRUTH COMES RESPONSIBILITY. Our first responsibility is to believe God. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son (1 John 5:9-10). We have the witness on the inside. We know the Word preached now in this ministry is the Word of God. The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that it is truth. Therefore, we are charged to believe and embrace the truth.

Unbelief is the enemy of our soul. Many will not make it to the Heaven because of their unbelief. And be not deceived, you cannot confess to believe this truth and not hail it as the “good news.” It should excite you in such a way that makes you want to tell the world of the love of our God and His redemption plan for them. If this is not what you feel then you are missing something that is essential to your salvation.

Nevertheless, we must believe on Christ the way the scriptures give report of Him (John 7:38). If this was the case, then out of our bellies would flow rivers of living water. Salvation, healing and miracles would flow through us like a river. Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? (John 7:42). Well, this means He would come in a human body (the seed of David). It was difficult for the people of that day to believe that which their own prophets had written of Christ. And now He is here in the flesh again. Only this time it is your flesh. If you agree you have been born-again, then you must believe everything God has said about the new birth. It is the mystery that was hidden in God before the foundations of the world, but is now made manifest to us, by the preaching of the gospel.

1 Timothy 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

I want to talk about godliness. We handle that word as if it is an act or attitude only. We see it as doing that which is holy and that is the extent of our revelation. But the scripture declares it to be a mystery; which is God being made known to man through His dwelling in the flesh. This made us innocent (justified) by placing us in the Spirit, to which the angels are witnesses. The gospel was and is preached to the Gentiles by the sons of God and will be preached in every nation and then the sons will be caught up to glory and forever be with the Lord. That is the mystery of godliness. It is a state or being; the creation of a new race upon the earth. It is the transformation of a man into a son of God.

The term godliness means Godly. But we do not simply do the acts of God, we are living sons of God who are of the Godkind. We are divine in nature. We are not of this world. We are no longer of the human race, but sons living in a human body.

2 Peter 1:2-4

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

One of the greatest aspects of sonship is the fact that we have escaped the corruption in the world caused by lust. This is due to the fact we have divine nature given to us by the Spirit of God. This means it is not our nature to lust after the things of the world. When we do so, we do that which is against our very nature.

Another important aspect of this godly or divine nature is it not only sanctified the flesh through circumcision, but the effect of this circumcision is the inability to sin against God. The flesh (body) will never betray us again. It will never long for sin. The Law of the Spirit of Life has destroyed the Law of Sin. Therefore, because the body (flesh) is resurrected by the quickening of the Holy Ghost, and the seed of God remains in it; it cannot sin (1John 3:9). The sons of God must take the members of Christ (the flesh) into sin. In such cases, we sin against our own bodies. (1 Cor. 6:18).

To summarize, we are the righteousness of God. We are created unto good works. We are not of this world and though it does not yet appear, we know that when He comes, we will be just like Him in appearance as well. We shall be changed into our glorious bodies that reflect the truth that we are the sons of the only true and living God.
