Chapter 5: God is Not Mocked Part Two 27

No one will make God look silly, nor prevent the power of righteousness. And it is futile to hold contempt for Him or His Word. Evil will never prevail over good.

The effort of men to circumvent the righteousness of God has become more and more subtle. But subtlety is the character of Satan and when men or women of God seek to circumvent truth they too must utilize the tools of the devil. Recently, the Lord caused me to look into an operation of the devil adopted by ministers whom the saints of God have patterned themselves after.

I once knew a preacher whom the Lord sent for me to train in the work of the ministry. He was a quick learner but sad to say was wanton in the flesh. Though he testified that he had a good wife who was also a fantastic pastor and help mate to him, he got involved in an affair with another woman. Eventually, he left the ministry stating that God had called him to be an apostle and he needed to go on and establish his own ministry. This he would do however, while holding on to the affair. I tried to maintain friendship with the young man in hopes that he would know that we loved him and would always be there for him.

One day the Lord had me to call the young man and tell him all that was in his heart.

1. It is your intent to come back to the ministry.
2. But you want get a divorce before you return.
3. It is your intent to marry another woman.
4. But God says, “If you do these things you will tempt Him.” He said to me, “Well, you did what the Lord told you to do.” I pleaded with him not to tempt the Lord with this plan but needless to say my pleas were in vain. Now the operation the Lord wants us to see in this is the cunning craftiness of the mind that seeks to undermine the Holy Ghost.

The young man did divorce his wife, he did come back to the ministry and he did marry his mistress. He did tempt the Lord. Again he left the ministry in pursuit of his apostleship. I don’t know the time frames . . . God has kept that in His own knowledge, but what I do know is what God said to me…

“If I give this man what he thinks to be the benefit of time, he will come to me in repentance and beg my forgiveness for the willfulness of his sins. He will fast and pray and fall on his face before me in strong tears and brokenness.”

I thought, “That’s great.” But then God said, “That was part of the plan. The prayer of brokenness was part of his plan from the beginning. My Judgment is set. In his pride he has tried to subvert my authority in his life. In his arrogance he has flaunted his sin before me and my people. Time is not a benefit to him. My judgment is set and time will not change it. His own tongue has betrayed him.”

My heart bleeds for this man because the wrath of God will surely be revealed against him. All anyone can do is plea for mercy and that His judgment is not final but a chastening rod.

Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The Lord Will Come

Jesus was the first one to teach the reality that sin in the sons of God will land them in Hell.

St. Luke 12:42-46

42. And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46. The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Note that the Lord is talking about the same person in the 45th verse that he was speaking about in the 42nd verse. A son of God will either show himself wise and inherit the kingdom, or deceive himself and end up in the same place as unbelievers. You must embrace this truth and hold it as a reality in your heart. If not, you too will seek to circumvent the judgment of God for the sin in your life.

Dear sons of God, we are commanded to walk in the holiness of God. We will not escape the wrath of God if we are found sinners even as others who know not the Lord. Look closely at the scripture passage below.

I Corinthians 6:9-10

9. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. The reality is that none of us who choose to sin against God, (even though we have been born again), will inherit the kingdom. In the end such will have their part in the lake.

Where do you go from here? Where is the deliverance? It is found in the same place every time. OBEDIENCE. Obedience to the Word of God is the only way to avoid becoming a reprobate or castaway. Come to yourself and stop using your precious mind to devise ways to get around obeying the truth. Stop seeking ways to avoid true humility. Submit to God and renounce all the things of dishonesty you thought were hidden from the eyes and hand of God. Fall on your face before God the Father and acknowledge your sins. He has promised to forgive. Time is short and your soul is hanging in the balance. Don’t risk provoking God. Repent quickly and submit totally.
