0:06 Well, praise the Lord. Glory to God. We're finally here. Good evening. Good evening. Good evening. This is a Friday evening and I'm Mary Banks and you have just tuned into the Bible teacher. That's right. We're going to do a disciplehip based upon some of the um messages that God has been giving us recently, especially that one from the school of the prophets, which was about Bible prophecy. the book of Revelations. And with me tonight to take us through 0:36 some of these these things that are pertinent to our time and where we are right now in Bible prophecy and the things that we should be looking at in our own personal lives is Bishop Daniel Chin. Hello everyone. Bless the Lord. Well, Daniel, uh what is God really saying um in the book of Revelation? We we talked about that in the school of the prophets at um what point is it that you want to take us to first? 1:07 I mean what what is it that that God is calling your attention to to share with the church? Uh one of the things that God has been sharing with me and good evening everyone. One of the things that God has been showing me is that first of all, I have never spent so much time in the book of Revelation as I have recently. And with that, God is showing me how much I've been missing out on. Wow. You 1:37 know, wow. Because there's so much in it that it's not just a book of mystery and symbols and secrets, you know. Ever since the conference, the school of the prophets, I have I think th those guards have been let down as as as it pertains to understanding and re reading the book of Revelation. And I've been just reading it like another book of the Bible. All right? You know, and and gladly I've been understanding some things. M um 2:07 I've been understanding how Jesus is discipling his churches in when he's talking about the things that are and he's talking to the churches that are before him, he disciples them. And you realize Jesus is still discipling, right? Still discipling. And even as he goes on into showing us what is to come, he is still discipling, you know, and there's a lot that we can grasp even from those things. So, you know, a lot of the times we minister 2:38 and we go into we may go into Romans chapter 7 or 8 or we may go to Corinthians or Philippians. But seldom have I ever gone to Revelation, right? You know, and admittedly it was um as a result of a lack of understanding. But now that understanding has come, I'm realizing and I'm hoping the audience is realizing too that there is much to learn for us presently. you know, um, something that you just said that that really blesses 3:08 my heart is that going into the book of Revelations now, you discovering how much you've been missing out on. Yes. That's what I want everyone to experience. I want them to realize that re the book of revelations, the book of Daniel, the book of Ezekiel, all of these, the 24th chapter of Matthew, all of these uh mainline mainstream Bible prophecy books and chapters are for the church to know the mind of God. It is, you know, and I 3:38 believe that because many have stayed away from it, many many of the uh body of much of the body of Christ has stayed away from the book of Revelation and all of this Bible prophecy that which is onethird of the Bible. Yes. Onethird of the whole Bible is Bible prophecy. And uh because we have not studied it because because the the body of Christ has not given itself over to it, it has caused a severe lack Yes. of 4:08 faith and it caused a severe tragic lack of fear of the Lord. Yes. Absolutely. The fear of the Lord has been drained out of the church by Satan and all of his tactics because we have not looked at the mind of God. When you when you study Bible prophecy, you really begin to see God. My Lord, you see God for who he is. You see how he thinks. You see how he feels about situations, circumstances, and sin, right? 4:39 You see, you really see God. You see his mind. You see his heart. And you begin to see that side of God that is opposite of the church. Yeah. You see, you see that that that that vengeful God, that God that says, "I will take vengeance." That's why he told us vengeance belongs to the Lord. Doesn't belong to us. He said, "I will take vengeance on all of my enemies and yours because your enemies are my enemies." And 5:09 so, I am I am really really excited about the the study that that we're doing now. Uh, I've I've been a a student of Bible prophecy for so many years. So many years. I've been a scholar, basically a scholar of Bible prophecy. I love it. I love it. It's always to me has been intriguing. Um, it it it put in me the fear of the Lord. It really put the fear of the Lord in me because I begin 5:39 to see how awesome our God is and how how the Bible I tell you one thing about Bible prophecy that you'll that if you study it, you will you it will increase your faith. And the reason it will increase your faith is because there's many things that in Bible prophecy that have already been fulfilled. Yes. And they were fulfilled exactly according to the scripture. Right. Exactly. And so we we begin to see now how precise God is and 6:10 how go when God says he cannot lie, he cannot lie. My Lord, glory to God. And if God says something is going to happen, it's going to happen and it's going to happen at the time that he says it's going to happen and the way that he says it's going to happen and to whom he says it's going to happen. It's going there's not going to be any variations in it. So that's the beautiful thing about Bible prophecy. 6:40 It increases our faith. It takes us to the fear of the Lord. Yes. And it allows us to see to the totality of God to see every side of him. Yes. You know, how he thinks, how he feels, his emotions, and how he deals with his enemies, and and it and it makes you it makes you really take a look at the fact that you don't want to be his enemy, right? You just don't want to be his 7:10 enemy. Praise the Lord. My Lord. And um Jeannie Dixon says here he said she says he wants us to understand the vastness of his sovereignty. Uhhuh. And that is something that I've been seeing too. Yes. Because these books of the Bible were written over so many different periods of time. Yes. And I know you have the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and you see a lot of red writing in those where Jesus is speaking. But then for the 7:41 rest of it, you may see Jesus speak again when he confronts Paul and sends him to Ananas. But for the rest of it, you don't see any more red until Revelation. That's right. You know, and how have we been missing this, you know, missing out on what God is saying to us now, you know, and one of the things and I want to go into our lesson for today. Okay. Um, one of the things that the book of 8:11 Revelation transitions into is it shows us a scenery, right? And you can probably explain this scenery way better than I can, but it's a scenery with God sitting on his throne, right? And surrounded by 24 elders and beasts and angels, right? So, we have an imagery of God's grand throne room. But when you look closely in God's hand, there's a book, right? and a book. I've always heard songs about it, never really understood it, but there's a book 8:41 and there was weeping saying, "Who is going to open this book?" And this book, we come to find out is something God wrote and it was important but nobody could open it because nobody was worthy. Then steps in Jesus again to save the day like he always does, right? He steps in and he now begins to open the book. But to open the book, you have to open some seals on the book. Right. Right. And every time you 9:11 ah there's an image, doc of of the great throne room of God. And if you zoom in way way way in, you you may see a book held in the hand of God, right? And every time a seal is broken, all right, every time. And just imagine a seal being like a letter. a letter that is, you know, but I think nowadays we just lick it. There's a little strip and you lick it, but we're not supposed to 9:42 lick it. But back back in the day, they used to take wax and seal it. And the king may seal it with his ring to signify that this is protected. It has not been opened, right? But now Jesus has the authority to open this book. And every time he opens one of those seals, some we see something, right? the first four seals. There's the book. The first four seals, John is writing the story and every time for the 10:12 first four scenes, he sees a horse of a different color, right? You know, and he explains what those different colors are. But for the fifth seal, which is what I want to talk about with you today, with the fifth seal, what do we see, Doc? Oh, let's see. The locust. The fifth seal. The fifth seal. Oh, the the the sun and the moon darken. So, we see. Am I in the trumpet judgement? I think you're in the judgment. 10:42 I'm in the trumpet judgment. So, I think you're in the judgment. You know, I've been up since 3:30 this morning. I've studied from 3:30 a.m. this morning, the trumpet judgments. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, I'm looking at the locals in the in the fifth seal. Amen. And the the 200 million horsemen in the sixth seal. Glory to God. Okay. I mean, in the in the sixh trumpet judgments, right? Okay. So the the fifth seal, it's the martyrs. The the 11:13 the Okay, what did you say? Oh, the martyrs. Amen. Under the altar, praise the Lord. The they woke up and they they and they they had a question for God. Right. So let's read it. Okay. Revelation 6 verse 9, okay, to 111. It says, "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held." Right? And they cried 11:43 with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dust thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" Right? And white robes were given unto every one of them. And it was said unto them that they should rest yet for a little season until their fellow servants also and their brethren that they should be killed as they were. Amen. Should be fulfilled. Now this is a very interesting scenario, right? So 12:13 here we have a group of people and I'm imagining a a large group. I've we read the scriptures and we we read so many people giving their lives for the gospel. There was an a whole era of the early church where people were killed for the gospel. So I can imagine there's quite a few of these martyrs, right? These are those who were killed for the gospel and they had a question for God, right? So they've been there 12:44 who knows how long, but they said, "God, how long until you avenge us?" And so there's an expectation from these people that I'm expecting God to avenge us. And what what happened to them? People killed them for the testimony of Christ. So they're expecting God to avenge them. Why would they be expecting God to avenge them? Well, I you know, when I first looked at that and really looked at it, you know, because for many years we read 13:14 stuff and we didn't really read it, right? But when I looked at that in light of what God has been been teaching about Bible prophecy, I said, "Now, these were these were people that were born again. These were people that uh that were killed for some of the old prophets, right? Probably that were killed for the testimony that they held of God. And these people woke up and asked for revenge. Yes. Now, we as sons of God here 13:44 on the earth, we're not allowed to ask for revenge, right? We're we're we're not we're not allowed. Okay. We we we are told that God will revenge. All vengeance belongs to the Lord. Okay? And so what we see now is a transition. We see these people have have died. They have that they've been killed. They've died and they have transitioned into the what is it called? What the Paul said the prize of the high calling that's in Christ 14:15 Jesus. Wow. They have transitioned now. They are actually in heaven. Wow. And so they are now of the heavenly host that is there. They're of that host. Amen. They have already secured their place in Christ, right? The the the place that we're trying to secure, right? We're trying to get there. That's what Paul was saying. He said, I press toward the prize of the high calling that is in Christ Jesus. So So now when we transition out of 14:45 this flesh, we become I mean everything that God is. Yes. You know, we become everything. Amen. Because now there is no flesh barrier and there is no fleshy thinking. I want you to understand what I'm saying. There's no flesh barrier and there is no fleshy thinking. We don't think with the emotions of the flesh once we transition. Now we should not when we walk in the spirit here now we don't think with the emotions of the flesh. Glory 15:15 to God. But we have to really walk in the spirit. We have to remain faithful to the Holy Spirit. Glory to God. But these people have transitioned. There is no flesh barrier. They have secured their place in the body of Christ in that eternal body that's coming back to rule forever. So they they are now recipients of that high calling. My Lord, they and so they they are thinking like God. They are thinking they are feeling what God 15:45 is feeling. They are they are anticipating what God is anticipating, right? Yeah. Wow. And so they they they are one. I mean this is the ultimate oneness. Glory to God. This is the ultimate. See, we we we now the Bible say we know in part. See, because there's still a flesh barrier here. You know, we know in part. But when that which is perfect has come, we will know as we are known. Absolutely. So that's what these people 16:16 are doing. They know now as they are known. Hallelujah. They know God the way God knows them. So now they think like God. They talk like God. They want what God wants at the moment. At that moment in time. Yes. They are wanting what God wants. Glory to God. So that's what happens when we actually transition. Glory to God. This this is the part of what you were saying look where this revives our hope. Yes. Cuz here we 16:46 hear saints just like us, but they've made it. They made it. And we're hearing pieces of their conversations. We're we're even given description of how they look, you know, what they're wearing, you know. So, we're getting a little postcard from heaven from people that have gone on before us. And in their understanding, like you said, they now understand that vengeance is due. Yeah. vengeance is due. But one one thing that I think about is there's normally a distinction 17:16 being made between how God dealt, let's say, in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, I believe it was Kora and his family. They did something. They took garments that didn't that they were not allowed to and they kept it in their tents. That was uh Asan Asan, right? Mhm. And because they disobeyed God, uh there was a council and God singled them out and the their judgment was that the ground opened beneath them. Can you imagine saying, 17:47 "Okay, you got two stories." Okay. Well, it's Asan was the one that went into Jericho and took the garments. Got it. Okay. He took the garments and u they were told not to take anything out of Jericho, but he went and he took garments and two changes of garments and hid them in his tent. Right. and some silver. And uh and they that council that well actually it was Joshua. Joshua had all of his his uh soldiers to 18:17 pass before him. And when Aan passed, he said, "Why did you disobey God?" God revealed him. He took he took Aan, his wife, his children, and his servants, his cows, his sheep, his everything that pertained to him. They put him in a pit. They stoned them and then they set fire to them. Okay. That was the judgment to root out sin from from the nation. Now, the story you're talking about, the other one with Kora, right? They rose 18:47 up against Moses. Okay. They said, you know, we you know, we're prophesying and we're this and that and they they they they were antagonist. They came out of Egypt with him, but they were antagonist all the way. And so when they when they actually really rebelled, Moses said, "Well, you know what? Okay. Cuz Moses, you know, the scripture says this about Moses, right? The scripture says Moses was the most humble man that we that that has been known. 19:18 Wow. God called him humble. These, you know, no matter what these people did, they they they they rebelled. They wanted to to stone Moses more than once. Wow. you know, and and uh Moses went to God for them and said, "Well, you know, just forgive them, you know, just just forgive them." He said, "Because if if and if you're not going to forgive them, just blot my name out with them. Just blot my name out of your book, 19:48 too. Glory to God. I'll just die with them. I just suffered, you know, with them." And and and so, uh God says, "No, I will blot out the ones that sinned against me." Right? That's that was God's response to Moses, right? But Kora Kerr and his his his um you know his his affiliates and all of them they they they rebelled against him. And and Moses said this. He said, "You know what? If if if God didn't tell 20:18 me to do what I'm doing, then you guys will die a natural death." Okay. But if God told me to do what I'm doing, if God appointed me, then you will not die. Yeah. A natural death. You will not die. And by the time Moses finished speaking, the ground opened up and these guys went to hell alive. They went to, you know, and that that whole crew, all of them went to hell alive. The only the scripture says 20:49 that their little children were saved. Their little he didn't he didn't let the little kids, the little ones, the scripture say the little ones, they didn't he didn't put them in. Wow. But the rest of them gone, wiped out. the wives, everybody. Poor wives. Poor wife. Glory to God. You know, and and you know, God is a just God. Yeah. He He's just. Glory to God. But strange are his ways sometime. Glory to God. But I wanted I 21:19 want to make a point right there that to piggyback off of off of what you said. We're we're actually seeing in the book of Revelations in that fifth seal, the opening of the fifth seal, those martyrs that wake up and says, "How long, you know, before your judgments come upon the earth and you avenge us?" These people have made it. That's what you said. They They are already there, guys. They're there now as we sitting here talking. These 21:49 are people that have lived on the earth and they have died and they have made it in to the kingdom of God. They are in heaven as we speak. Right? There's a scripture in the Bible that I want us to look at. I I God gave me this word several weeks ago and I've been wanting to teach it, wanting to teach it. In fact, I've actually written written the lesson out, but I'm going to mention the the the 22:19 gist of it tonight in in lie of what you're saying because uh as you said, Jesus is still discipling, right? He is discipling. There's a scripture in the Bible during the time when Jesus was walking the earth and um it was a uh remember the rich young ruler right remember him that rich young ruler came to Jesus and he asked him he said what must I do to to to inherit eternal life and Jesus stopped with all those 22:50 that crowd around and all the noise you heard that Right. And he turns around and he looks at this guy, eyeball to eyeball, and he says, "Go and sell everything you got. Give it to the poor and then come follow me." Yeah. This young man was traumatized. Yeah. Now, actually, what I don't think we really see the impact of what Jesus was actually offering him. Jesus was actually when he said, "You come follow me." He could have been 23:20 one of the disciples, one of the apostles, too. One of the apostles. He he he turned down one of the greatest honors that could have ever been offered. Okay? And he said he said, you know, sell everything. Yeah. You know, everything my father has slave for, you know, you want me to sell it? You know, this is my identity. This was a rich young ruler. Yeah. Okay. This is my identity. this is who you know my riches, my 23:50 wealth, it it distinguishes me from everyone else. Jesus said this this young man drops his drops his head and walks away. You never see where Jesus said anything else to him. You never see where he went after him and all of that. My God. He gave him a word. Now Jesus response was, "It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get to heaven." You You want to read 24:21 that? Yes, ma'am. Did you find it? Yes, ma'am. Okay. You You want to start from the top or I want to start where where Jesus where Jesus responds. Okay. Then Jesus Then said Jesus. Okay. So, this is in Matthew 19. Okay. 23rd verse. Mhm. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, "Verily, I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter the kingdom of heaven." Wow. Wow. Mhm. And again, I say unto you, it is easier for a 24:51 camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. My God. What else he say? Okay, let's keep going. 25. He says, "When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed and said, who then can be saved?" "But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Now, I want you to hear this. I want you to hear 25:21 this because for many, many years, God God is so faithful. M he he will you you can teach something for years and and and and and really believe that you're right and still be wrong. That's right. Okay. Um because for many many years we we taught this the eye of a needle as the the the gate there the the gates to the city had a an eyelet in it. And they and they were saying when the camels come 25:52 through the c some of the camels were loaded weighted down and they were too tall to go through that that thing they call the needle, right? And so they had to the camels had they had to strip strip them down before the the camels could actually go through and some of them had to kind of crawl through. So we taught that as as what Jesus was talking about the eye of the needle. But that's not true. God said 26:22 that's not true. He says he's talking about a literal needle and a literal camel and and a literal camel going through the needle. A literal camel actually trying to get through the eye of a needle, a sewing needle that you sew with. And he's saying, I want you to picture this needle that you sew with. And do you think a camel could actually go through that needle? It's impossible. It's impossible. That's how we know he's not talking about 26:52 Right. He's not talking about no no gates cuz that camel eventually made it through the country. Exactly. The camel made it through. Right. But he said it's impossible. Yes. That's what he said. And so the disciples said, "Well, who going to be saved? Who can be saved then?" Right. He said, "With man, it's impossible, but with God it is possible." So, what does that say about the rich? And and and and and don't let's let's let's don't jump 27:22 the gun here because riches you don't you don't have to have money to have a rich man mind. You don't have to have You can be broke and think like a rich man. Had a mindset. I'm I'm serious. You can you can actually be broke and have a mindset of a of a rich man. Glory to God. And so he's saying he's saying it's impossible if you have that mind of the rich, it's impossible for you to get 27:53 to heaven. You cannot get there. And that thing bothered me when I when when when the Lord revealed that to me. I said, "Oh my God." because I begin to look inside of the ministry and I can see people and and not only just in this ministry, but people that I've associated with over the years that have that rich mind. They have that that that rich man's mind with no money. Can Can you explain that? Um Okay. Cuz 28:23 I think I can envision that mind, but please. Well, look at this young man. He his his riches was his identity, right? That was his image. That's the image he saw of himself. And Jesus is now threatening that image with with with with salvation. Salvation actually was a threat to that image because in order for me to receive salvation, I've got to lose I've got to get rid of this image that I have of myself. My I have 28:53 spent my father probably has passed all this money down to me and I am a I am distinguished in my community. Glory to God. I enjoy the luxuries of wealth and I am esteemed. And so so that's my image. That's who I am. Yeah. And you want me to give that up? You want me to ch You want me to become nothing. You want me to become like the common man. Right. See now what is that mind? The 29:24 mind of the rich says I am not on the same level as other people. My money has made me higher than ordinary people. I am I I have a spirit of uh entitlement. That spirit of entitlement because of what I have. So you now, you being lesser than me must be subject to me. You must be subject. Glory to God. And I have seen this in people. And this is important because I have seen this in saints that 29:54 are I mean if you just entertain them socially uh in a spiritual environment, you you would you would never think that they have that rich man mind because they they love the word. They they they're faithful to the church. They give to the church. They do. I mean, they're loyal to the church. They're anything the church needs or anything that that that um they can do to help. They're very charitable. Yeah. They're very charitable. They help poor people. 30:24 Okay. But they still have the mind of the rich. They have the mind that this young man had. The same mindset this young man had. Though I am charitable, I may I may I may give I may just, you know, help this one, help that one, da da da. I'm always charitable. Charitable. But that now appeases my conscience. That that appeases my conscience. And I'm not saying that every man everyone that that is wealthy that does help the 30:55 poor, Amen, is uh doing it for for selfish reasons. Sometimes they they're very compassionate, right? They they see something and and and and right. But but if if there's there's always going to be a moment there's always going to be a moment in time that defines that mindset if it's there. There's always going to be a situation, circumstance, or a relationship that is going to define whether that mindset exists in that person, no matter how charitable they are. 31:25 For instance, you can take a person that would give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give. Just give, help people, help people, help people, help, help the church, help people, da da da da. And then let's say um let's say um someone is out there selling um selling little trinkets just to make a living there. You see a lot of that in Jamaica. Yes. Yeah. People just they they get their little stuff, you know, or they come from 31:55 the farm and sell their little little whatever their vegetables or their fruits or whatever. um or they do little uh menial jobs, you know, to to make a dollar or two just to just to feed themselves. Now, if I have that that rich man mind, okay, if it it's going to surface somewhere now, I might have just 32:18 given two or three,000 to the church or to to help this one, to help that one, da da da da da da. and go and and I'll go right to that little person that is that is um that is selling a little trinket, you know, that they they barely can make ends meet. Okay. Feed themselves. And I want to I want a discount. Oh, I am wealthy. I could buy the whole I could buy everything they got there a thousand times. Wow. But 32:49 now I want a bag of fruit, but I want you to if it if it's $10, I I I want a discount. Don't don't charge me but eight. Don't charge me but five. I I want to bring this person down. Amen. Why Why do you think that would be? I don't know. But I've seen it a lot if I just be honest. You know, we I think sometime we're we're raised sometimes always bargain, you know, and and this may also be how this 33:19 person came to their wealth being savvy. Smart. That's not savvy. That's not smart. To the world it is. That's greed. Okay. That's greed and entitlement. Let me show you how. Okay. You say you've seen it a lot. Well, you're from Jamaica, too. And I I've been to Jamaica and I see a lot of uh vendors and whatnot. And why is it the wealthy people that are wealthy, they don't have the compassion for that little man, right, that and and that's not everybody because 33:49 that everybody's not like that. But I'm saying if that mind if that mindset is there and and and these people are just trying to make a living, they you know, you've already made a living. Sure. You you already made you got so much excess. You see, look at look at look at look at the Lazarus and the rich man. All Laz Lazarus didn't ask for a chicken leg. He said, "Just give me the crumbs. Can I have the crumbs that fall from your 34:19 table? Just the crumbs. Can I sit here and just eat? If you if if anybody drops something, can I be like the dog? Just take it off the ground and eat that." Yeah. The rich the rich. Okay, go sit there. You can eat the crumbs. Mhm. The rich man never offered him a a a plate a whole plate of food. Okay. That added to his status. Yes. That that added that's that's the mind. And see, we don't want to own that mind. We 34:49 don't want to own that mind. Now, and and and is it am I condemning all um bothering, right? No, I'm not. You know, I'm I'm not condemning that. I'm talking about a mindset, right? I am talking about, okay, someone comes to wash my car. Let's go let's look at Jamaica. Okay. I when we're traveling, I see these guys wiping the windreen. Wiping the windscreen and stuff. And many time if I don't have any cash, I said, "No, no, no, no. Don't do it. 35:19 Don't do it. Don't do it." Cuz I don't want them doing that and I don't have any cash on me to give them, right? Glory to God. But or or or someone somebody come by and say, "Can I wash your car?" Right. Okay. This person is not trying to rob anybody. True. They're not thieving. They're trying to do whatever it take to just go buy me a meal, you know, or whatever. Amen. And so now, if they're going to wash my car, and 35:49 they said, I said, "Well, how much you going to charge?" 10 bucks. They're going to they're going to wash it. They're going to detail it. They're going to do all of that. No, man. That's too much. Five. $5. $5, man. I'm just using figures here. Okay. You want to pay him half, right? Half of what he asked for. And what he asked for wasn't even what you would pay to go to a a detailer, you know, to a to a to to an 36:19 actual car wash and let those people, you know, do it. You understand what I'm saying? So what is that? What is that? I have the control. I have the I have the supremacy here. Yeah. Glory to God. And if you want if you want anything from me, you got to get it on my terms. That's the mindset. You have to get it on my terms. Wow. So God is saying that right there, that mindset there will not allow you to make it to 36:50 heaven. It doesn't matter how much you give to the poor because you you're doing that over here on this side. But look over here what you do over here. Over here you are establishing your identity. You are establishing your supremacy. You're establishing your dominance. You you find a person that is wealthy. Uh, for instance, you know, like uh in your business, you know, you and I had this conversation, glory to God, when you were first starting out and having been a businesswoman myself, 37:20 you know, and dealing with all kinds of people. I know the mindset when I'm when I'm listening to it, you know, when they talking, I know that mindset. I know what it is. And so in in one of your situations, you know, one of your clients just wanted to just, you know, hover over you. You know, how do you do that with a with with with an IT person? You you don't even know it. This person doesn't even know it. How are they 37:50 going to how are they going to micromanage you? Glory to God. You are an entrepreneur. You are the contractor, right? Glory to God. You're the one that has the the knowhow, the knowledge. this person doesn't have it, but he's paying you. So, I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to um let you I'm going to tune you. What do you call it? Zoom in or whatever. I'm going to come in through Zoom and I'm going to watch you work. I'm going to 38:20 make sure that you're putting in the hours that you're going to charge me for. Glory to God. Come on now. And I said to you, I said, "Stop it." Yes. You remember? I said, "Stop it." I said, "You're not. You don't work like that. You are the contractor. This person is trying to establish their dominance, their supremacy over you. That's a mindset. That's a mindset of the will of the wealth that feels like you need him. You need him and you will do 38:50 whatever he tells you to do, right? And if he and and that's just like a rich man, if he calls if he calls you and you don't answer the phone right away, he's got a problem. He's gonna have a problem because I am paying you Wow. to do this, to do that, and and it doesn't matter what you're doing, you're supposed to be at my beacon call every time I, you know, every time I uh uh seek to contact you, glory to God, 39:20 don't don't don't uh call me later or or whatever, stop whatever you're doing and talk to me because I am the supreme being here. I am the supreme. I'm the supreme one. Are you all understanding what I'm saying? That's a mindset. That's a mindset that has no regard for for what you're doing. It has no regard for your life. Your life is supposed to feed into his or her life, right? You're if if I'm dealing with you, then now I basically direct what 39:50 you do. I direct it. You don't you you don't have no independence when you're dealing with me. Do you understand? That's that's the mind of the rich. Why are you looking at me like that? Amen. Are do are you understanding what I'm saying? I'm talking to someone in the auditorium. Are you understanding? Glory to God. Because that's a mindset. And I know you guys have seen this. Have you seen it? Yes, ma'am. So, I can understand definitely you're painting a very vivid picture 40:21 here. Okay. Um and and something unfortunately I can I can see I have seen in in even people that I've deemed spiritual, right? You know, but there was always that that air about them. You you still knew they were rich though. Yeah. They're spiritual and and Terry here is saying it's like someone spending big on luxury things but doesn't pay their workers. That's it. There you go. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That that does exist in the church, you know. And I can so I 40:51 can understand it. So I'm just trying to bridge both sides because I can understand I guess in a sense how the rich would get there. But what about those who are not rich but yet still have the same mindset? They have the same mind. What brings them there? Well, you you know let's just stay with Jamaica, okay? Because I saw this in Jamaica. Tell me now in the in when I first went to Jamaica, there was a very powerful class system. Now that 41:21 was 30 years ago. Is it strong now? Absolutely. Okay. It's still there, right? There's a class system. Mhm. When I first went there 30 30 30 or 35 years ago, there was a distinction between the the the helper in the house and the gardener, right? The the helper in the house felt that she was better than the gardener. She has no money. True. You know, she's working for 50 bucks a week, you know. I mean working I mean working for 50 bucks a 41:51 week doing what we would have to pay someone a $100 a day to do. Oh yes. Over here we would have to pay you know now it's $100 a day$125 a day for someone to come clean your house. Right. Glory to God. And these people would work for 650$60 70 a week. And glory to God you you you couldn't you couldn't you couldn't get you that's day labor here right? That's that's one day. And and um and so how does this person that 42:21 is making that little bit of money, right? How does this person see themselves as superior to the gardener? That's that that's that mindset that Jesus said will not make it in. See, and and and if you're if you're caught here, I'm going tell you something. If you're caught here in this, listen to me really good, guys. you because God is giving us pract practical things here where we have to examine ourselves. Okay? We have to examine ourselves. Glory to God. And see if 42:51 I be found here. Glory to God. If you have that mindset, at some point it's going to be defined. It's going to be revealed at some in something that you do. God, what did God say? If if there you have any other mind, he shall reveal it to you. Didn't he say that? That's right. So, at some point that mindset is going to be revealed. Glory to God. And he said, you can't go through you. You're like that camel trying to go through 43:21 the eye of a needle. You're trying to get to heaven with that mindset. You can't get there. Can't. No. You can't get That's not Christ at all. Glory to God. You want to add anything to that, preacher? No. I'm I'm really just seeing this mindset in even the rich young ruler. Okay. Um I don't remember if it was you or Apostle Mike. Um but you one of you ministered and and was saying that he was fine with being a disciple. Right. But let 43:51 me bring my money with me. Exactly. Right. Exactly. I'm sure it was no secret how the disciples lived and how Jesus lived. That's right. Right. But this man, he said, "Well, I've kept the commandments. I'm a good guy. You know, surely I can come with you." Right. But let me take what I have with me though. Right? But the requirement to follow Jesus, not that everyone that follows God has to be poor, but for this man, God Jesus saw that mindset in him 44:22 and say, "You can't come here with that because this this fellowship that we have even as the disciples and and Jesus, this fellowship we have doesn't include that." That's right. And you're not going to come in here and and I've seen this too, Doc. I've seen those that had substance think that that can be a substitute for spirituality, right? Because I have something to offer. Oh, I'll come. I'll take care of the team. Just let me hang out with you all, you know, 44:52 and because of my substance, you maybe you'll overlook some of the things that you see, the spirituality, right? Lack of spirituality. The lack of spirituality. Let let me substitute that for my substance and my giving. And you know when it's when it's revealed, it's it's actually revealed when there's a threat to it. When there's a threat to the image or a threat to the to the to the money, to the finances. If there's if there if there's any situation that threatens the money 45:22 like this rich young ruler, salvation threatened his money. That's true. That was a threat. Ministry threat. Ministry threatened his finances. He's saying, "Look now, wait a minute. I'm willing to follow you." Mhm. But let me, as you said, let me follow you with my wealth. Right. Glory to God. Now look at the contrast. Barnabas and his wife. Okay. When they Barnabas was a wealthy man, very wealthy. Glory to God. And Barnabas came and sold what he had and gave it to the movement 45:52 of the church. Wow. Sold everything he had and gave it to the movement of the church. Glory to God. And that's a that's a a tremendous contrast. Yeah. To that ruler, to that rich young ruler. And and and and if you don't have that mindset, watch this. Now look at someone else here. If you don't have that mindset, that's fine. You you can make it in. But he but because he said the scripture say with God it's possible. So you have to walk 46:22 in the spirit. Oh yes. If you if you've been born again, you got to now actually walk in the spirit in order to get to heaven. Right. Let let's look at Cornelius. Cornelius was a wealthy man. Uh Cornelius was a giver to the church. He was a centurion. Yes. But he was a wealthy centurion and he was always blessing the the movement of the faith. He was giving to the church. The scripture say he gave so many arms. So he didn't have but 46:52 he didn't have that mind. Look at the difference between him and the rich young ruler now. Glory to God. And and the rich young ruler was an Israelite. Oh yeah. The the centurion was a Roman, right? Glory to God. And but this guy didn't have that superior mindset. He just wanted to know God. Yes. And he wanted to be in God. And so whenever there So his money was not a threat. He his money wasn't threatened. He didn't feel threatened by salvation. Amen. 47:22 Or the fact that, okay, I may have to give this up. I don't care. I'm already giving it. I'm already giving it. If it take take it all, take all of it if it's going to get me salvation. I I'd rather not have any. Glory to God. And make it to heaven. I'd rather go to heaven a poor man than to go to hell a rich man. Yeah. Glory to God. We know what happened to the rich man in hell. Yes. So So 47:53 that's that's what this this word is trying to tell us. It's impossible. It's impossible to have that mind and make it in. However, if you have the Holy Spirit and you walk in the Holy Spirit, you can make it in. But if you have the Holy Spirit and don't walk in the spirit, you still will miss heaven and end up in hell. You cannot make it in. It's impossible. The only way you can get there is with God. That's what he said. With 48:23 God, all things are possible. So, glory to God. What is he saying? He's saying if you walk in God, you can get there, my Lord. That's what he's saying. And you know the deception in this is well, Bishop Flora says, "These are the foxes that spoil the vine. This man should not be named among the sons of God." And that's true. So, I want I want us to look at because I I believe Paul, right, there's there's a term that apostle Paul calls 48:53 this. He calls it the course of this world. Uhhuh. This is how the world thinks. This is not how how the church thinks. Because even if you lived as a rich man unsaved, when you receive the Holy Spirit, your mind is renewed. And that mindset, that way of thinking that we're not all equal here and that my substance, my substance defines me, that goes, that's right. God cuts that away from our mind or thinking or or belief system that's gone. Right? Whether or 49:23 not now that you've been saved, whether or not you you look back at that old mind and you said there's something about that I want back. You know, many many times when you when you find saints walking in this, they're looking into the world. Mhm. They're seeing the superiority and the status that men of the world have and they desire it and they go back for that. So I don't want us to confuse this as there's just there's something we're carrying over, you 49:53 know, and then maybe maybe there's some chance that I can get it back, you know, I can make it even though I have this mind. You can't because this is not a part of your mind. This is not a part of the way we think because this is not how Christ thinks and he gave us his mind. Right? And that's why these mindsets, these ways that we think are so dangerous because we can immediately see how different it is than how Christ thinks. 50:23 Right? And and so God lays out some of these things. Like Bishop Laura says, these seem to be the small things. You know, it's not it's not the big ones, right? These are the mindsets, the way we think, the way we see ourselves. Mhm. But the deception is that it's so small that it's not that serious, right? Yeah. And this is one of the things I was reading in Revelation because these things that were small in Moses day, there's a scripture I just 50:53 want to touch on in Hebrews, right? In Hebrews 10 um verse 28, okay? It says, "He that despised Moses law, what happened to them, Doc? They died without mercy under two or three witnesses. That's right. Verse 29 says, "Of how much sarer punishment suppose ye shall ye be thought worthy who hath trodden under the foot the son of God, and had counted the blood of the covenant wherewith you were sanctified." So these are saved people. You considered it an unholy thing. And had 51:23 done what? despite unto the spirit of grace. Explain that despite from the do you have no respect for the Holy Spirit, right? You have no regard for it. Yeah. You you you do what you want to do. It doesn't matter what the Holy Spirit says, right? You have you despise its chassening. You despise its reckoning. You despise it trying to prick you to do the right thing. Right. That's Yeah, that's despite. And so we see so many examples in the Old Testament. I'm 51:54 thinking of Saul. Saul was given an instruction. Kill, you know, the the long word for that nation. Kill them all. Don't bring even the don't bring the king. Don't bring the animals. Kill them all. Right? But he disobeyed and the judgment was that the the throne was rent from him. Right? That those stories that I got mixed up, it was closed, right? They were told not to take the clothes from Jericho and they died. Right? We see so many little things. The ark 52:24 of the covenant was falling and someone was trying to keep it up. He died, right? Because of simple instructions, how much more us that have the spirit in us and and let's not get it twisted here. We know when we do these things. That's right. We know when we're operating in that superiority. We know when we're looking down on another. Right. Right. But here's the thing, right? And and here's what these these martyrs under the altar is kind of showing us. Even though 52:54 we're doing we may find ourselves guilty. And I see even some people in the in the comment section admitting, "Hey, I'm seeing myself." Right? But why is it that we don't see the ground opening up? Right? Why are we not being thrown into pits and stoned and burnt, right? We're seeing this world get away with it. And the deception that the enemy wants to give us is that you can get away with it too. Right? God's judgment isn't the same. It's not, you 53:24 know, and the the way God judged in the Old Testament, h God is not like that anymore. He's so loving. He's so kind. He doesn't care about those things. That's the that's the lie of the enemy. That's right. Because the martyrs know there is a time and I'm waiting. I just want to know how long because there's a fact about God and and even the martyrs said it you are holy and you are true. There's an aspect of God that he doesn't change. 53:54 And so this judgment that you see as more immediate in the Old Testament he he tells us I'm waiting. My God, right? I'm just waiting. Just waiting. I'm a God of patience. My God. And there's a reason I'm waiting. Mhm. We look at the world now. The world is so irreverent. Doc, the world blasphemes God's name. The world says all kind of things about God and because they don't see immediate judgment, right? They feel like, "Oh, he's a wimp." And you know, you 54:24 know, Daniel, the the the the deception in that, too, is that we we deem these people as spiritual. Uhhuh. And they die and they go to hell. Wow. And but we think they're in heaven. Wow. Because they was they were good in so many other areas. You know, they did they did so much this right and that right and they were charitable. Especially charitable people. Yes. People that are charitable. You have to be very careful. You have to examine yourself to make sure 54:54 you don't you you may have money to distribute. The Bible said be quick to distribute. Okay. So if if God blesses you, okay, and and you and you give to the poor, that's a that's a that's a good thing because it's more blessed to give than it is to receive. However, you've got to examine yourself to make sure you don't have that mind, right? That you don't have that mind that we're talking about because let me let me show you something. If no 55:25 matter what you're doing over here, all this just charitableness, if that mind is in you, I can't say this enough. Yes, there's going to be something that reveals it. Yes, there's always going to be a moment that reveals how you really see yourself. How do I how do I deal with that? How do I deal with this? If if if I find myself having a like I said, you don't have to be wealthy wealthy, you know, uh you just see yourself as as 55:55 supreme to other people, right? But how do I deal with that if if I do have a little substance? Let me tell you something. Something I learned when I came into God, my ambition was to be rich because I was taught that the prosperity message was going to make you rich. Right? So that I anticipated being rich. Well, it wasn't long God bust that bubble and let let me know, no, that's not going to happen, sister. and and um but how did I 56:25 deal with with with God trying to get me to a place where I was fit for ministry? Yes. How do how did I get there? You know what God taught me? He says if I bless you with substance, no matter how much substance I bless you with, you must live with a mindset that says, "I can see it all gone." Mhm. If you can't live where you can see everything you have gone, then you won't make it to heaven. You know, I I 56:55 I remember praying. I I've prayed this prayer many times. I said, "God, you can take everything I got. Take take it all. You know, if I have to sleep under the bridge or in a car somewhere, okay, I'll do that. Just don't take your spirit from me. Give me enough food so I have strength to preach. Mhm. Give me clothes to cover my nakedness. That's it. As long as as long as I have your spirit and I can and I can I can 57:25 serve you. Yeah. Glory to God. I know that my end will be all right. Yeah. I'll serve you till I die. Glory to God. And so if you can't see everything, if I can't if I can't wake up one day and and realize supposing I didn't have a house, supposing I didn't have a car to drive. See, I've been there, done that. Glory to God. I' I've been where I didn't have a car, didn't have a home. Glory to I've been homeless. Glory 57:55 to God. With three children. Wow. Glory to God. And preaching the gospel. So, I understand that. But, can I do it now that I've had things? Now that I've had things. I went to Jamaica. You You guys put me in a mansion over there. Glory to God. Up way up on the hill. Glory to God. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. And I'm I'm talking about the not two floors, not a two-story house, not even a three story, but four stories. True. Glory to God. Servants 58:25 quarters and all of that stuff and and suites and you know, all of that. Glory to God. Every room with its own bathroom. Glory to God. I had never lived in it. It looked like a hotel. Praise. It did. It did. It looked like a big old hotel. Praise the Lord. It was a mansion. Amen. and and but I had to see, you know, okay, this God got me in Jamaica, but how long is this going to last? Right? How long is this 58:55 going to last? So, I'm not going to get stuck here and and when it's time when it was time for me to go, I I got where I just couldn't handle I couldn't even didn't even like the house anymore. Didn't even want to go to it. Didn't want to go up that hill, right? Praise Praise the Lord. Glory to God. You have to live where you can see things gone. If you can't see it gone, you're not worthy and you won't make it 59:26 in. I heard I saw someone I don't know who it was, but I saw someone says, "I am God have mercy on me. I'm seeing myself." I saw that somewhere. That's what this lesson is meant to do. It's meant for us to see ourselves. Word of God. As as Bishop Lona said, these these things we call these little foxes and we think they're no harm. Oh yeah, they harm. They are defiling our soul. When that soul is defiled, you can't get to where 59:56 those martyrs are. You can't get into the kingdom. Glory to God. These those guys have already made it. They have secured their place in inside of that prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. They have already secured their spot. We're trying to get there. And the only way we get there, we got to kill these mindsets. We got to kill this mindset. Even if you don't have a lot of money, but do you think like a man with with a lot of 60:26 money? Do you do you see yourself as better than this person or better than that person? Look down your nose at people. Glory to God. Because they don't have what you have or they don't act the way you act. They're not as educated as you are. Right. You know, that's a biggie in Jamaica as well and in a lot of places. Amen. Even here in America. Glory to God. If if if a person is not educated, doesn't have the kind of education that 60:56 someone else had, they're considered less or whatever. Glory to God. You You should never see yourself as better or above other people. Glory to God. Amen. When you start seeing that, you you can't there's no that's not Christ. You know, when when when they arrested Christ, Judas had to kiss him so they would know who he was because he looked like everybody else. M he wasn't walking around in no long purple robe of royalty and had had a you know a crown on 61:26 his head or a halo. Glory to God. You know said God father now you got to give me a halo so people know who I am. No he didn't. He was just ordinary. He looked just like an ordinary uh uh disciple. He looked just like the rest of the disciples. So if you can't see yourself as just equal with everybody else, glory to God. then there's no way. You're trying to go through the eye of a needle. Yes. And you can't get through 61:56 it. But with God, he knows how to strip you of that mindset if you would let him. All you got to do is give over to it. I want to read this in in Revelation 3. Um, a part of Revelation is that like I said, Jesus spent some time discipling these seven churches, right? And the last one he comes to is Leodysia. Right? Leodia was a city not far from Coloss. And he says, "Unto the church, unto the angel of the church of 62:26 the Leodyians, write this." Right? He's talking to John. Write this. These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God, Jesus. Right? So Jesus is saying this to the church at Leodysia. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would thou work cold or hot. Meaning they're not cold. They're not hot. They're in the middle. Right. He's going to explain it. So then, because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I 62:57 will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, So here the mindset in the Leodyian church, right? Because thou saith, I am rich, Uhhuh. and increase with goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. This is how God So, so we see a contrast here. This is how the people are seeing themselves, but this is how God sees them, right? So God so Jesus says, "I counsel thee to buy 63:27 of me gold tried in the fire that thou mayest be rich and white raignment that thou mayest be clothed and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear and anoint thyself with eyes that thou mayest see." And so God is saying, look, you have this mindset, right? And you're you're looking at what you have. You're looking at what defines you and you're commending yourself in it. Mhm. Jesus says, "Here's what I offer you. Come to me. Come to Jesus and buy of 63:57 me gold that is tried in fire because only this will make it. Only what God has given to us will make it in." All this the riches whether it's actual riches or imagined riches, whatever your status is, whatever you think you are, whatever you think you have, it is nothing. And when God examines it, it is nothing. If you don't have what what God is looking for, his gold, his riches, and and and the scripture tells us so many places what his riches 64:27 is. He tells us to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven where moth or rust doesn't corrupt. Right? If we don't come, if we don't stand before him with those things, none of this, none of this that we say we have, none of this that we think defines us is worth anything. That's right. And this is this was Jesus's disciplehip to the Leodyian church. My God. Praise the Lord. Saints, I hope that you guys have have learned. I hope I hope that you 64:57 know we have touched on some things that that cause you to say hey you know I got to look at that I got I got to look at that God is talking to me. Praise the Lord. Amen. There's a comment here from Grace Robinson. It says because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily. Therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Wow. Exactly. You know I read a scripture I read a scripture today 65:27 that says where God was saying, "I've done I've all these plagues that we were talking about that are coming." Amen. All of these judgments that are coming upon the earth, he said, "Everything I've done, all that I've done to you, he says the wicked know shame. You you you continue to do what you do." Wow. No shame. That's true. And so, we don't want that testimony. We don't we don't want God to say that about us that no matter what God says, see, 65:57 don't do despite to the Holy Spirit. Yes. Don't move into that place where you can hear this word and do nothing about it. Amen. You are setting yourself up to go into the fiery pit. So if God is speaking to you tonight, own that and say, God, you know, I got to change that. I've got I don't want that mind. The scripture tell us that it's possible with God. It's impossible without him. But with God, if you give yourself over to the Holy 66:27 Spirit that is in you, then you will find you will find your way into the kingdom. Cuz an entrance will be ministered unto you. But if you keep that mind, it will keep you out of the kingdom. That's why the scripture said, "Narrow is the gate, straight is the way, and narrow is the gate, and few there be that find it." Now, God is identifying these things. He's identifying these things that we thought was little small foxes, right? He's identifying these things and 66:58 saying that they spoil the vine. In other words, they defile the soul. And if and if we're going to make it into the kingdom, we've got to do what the scripture tells us to do. Amen. Humble ourselves. Yes. Repent and turn back to God. Yeah, because Doc, I truly believe that God being the father that he is wants to provide exceptionally for his children. Yes. Right. He wants to be able to trust us even with the some of these things on the earth. 67:28 He may see us in need of certain things, but he also sees that giving us some things, we may we may not have the opportunity, but if he ever gave us some of these things, that would be our undoing. Right. Right. And so that's why God can't trust some of us with the with natural things which, you know, but I I truly believe that that's God's heart, you know, to bless us as even a statement that I have blessed and this is my 67:58 childh. M but many times when when he looks into our hearts he sees that these are things that because of these me giving you this would be your destruction and so he doesn't you know. Amen. Amen. So if if in any way I encourage you all here and online if in any way you have heard in any way you have heard anything anything the Lord has a way to to minister to us even in ways that we don't know you know the ministers 68:28 may not know but I encourage you as God has spoken and again don't get caught in the trap of because I don't see swift judgment That means God is not serious. God is always serious. And there's a point at a time when he will recompense the thing that was done good or evil. Amen. So I just want to encourage you all, you know, hear the word. Study the word. You know, don't don't let up on your study of the word anytime. I I 68:58 remember this morning I was reading the Psalms and the Psalms was just blessing me. The Psalms was it was showing me that there's Bible prophecy in the Psalms, right? God gives us so many things, but we have to fellowship with him. We have to get rid of these things. These things that he knows is there. And God, like the scripture says, he is faithful to reveal these things even to us. He'll show us if we're one of those that have nothing, but we 69:28 have that mentality that if I ever had anything, you know, and and there's always going to be someone seemingly lower than you to exercise this kind of thing on, right? Like Doc said, God is faithful to bring that right in your path and show you. You see that? You see, you have nothing, but you look at someone else and you treat them as if they have nothing. Right? That's evil in the sight of God. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Glory to God. I 69:58 hope that you've been blessed. Amen. I I really do. I hope you've been blessed. Glory to God. And that you will examine yourself. Go before God tonight before you go to bed. Yeah. Go before God and say, "God, search me." Yes. Search me out, Father. Show me. Show me any darkness. Yes. And then repent of it. He'll show it to you and just repent. Say, "God, I need you to help me here." Yeah. Cleanse me, wash me, purge me, and he'll do that, 70:29 saints. Glory to God. I'm grateful to God for this study tonight. I'm grateful for my companion Daniel being with me. Glory to God. We want to close out tonight, but we want you to give something. Amen. You know, God has been a blessing to you. Amen. Be a blessing to his ministry. The QR code is on the screen now. Amen. Go and give something.
