THE LIFE OF CHRIST

When Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the Book, He said, “It is finished”. He had fulfilled everything in the Book. He proved Himself as the man that all the prophets spoke about and were types of; Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, the list is countless. They spoke of the life of Jesus. They saw the things He would suffer, and they saw His life in the sons of God.

Leviticus 26:11-12

11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

I think if the Church will pause for a moment and truly see the life of Christ, they will realize that His life is living in them. His life on earth continues by them. He is very present. This was the great plan of God that He put in the mouth of all the prophets. He would by the church dwell on earth. I want you to flow with the Holy Spirit here and know that this plan of God was not an afterthought. It was God’s original intent for creating man. He was on a mission to gain a family. In the natural, it is when the seed merges with an egg that a child is formed. However, the method God chose for the forming of a child of God is by the merger of a human soul to the Holy Spirit. This merger allows both the soul and Spirit to be present in the same flesh.

The oneness of the soul and the Holy Spirit therefore allows us to be included in the prophecy above. Yes, God will walk among us, however, He will walk by us. Yes, He will set His tabernacle among us because our very bodies are His tabernacles. However, let us zoom in on God’s intention here. He expressed above a desire to walk among us. I don’t know how many of us have ever considered God Almighty walking, but God is using this scripture to open our eyes to see, His true desire. What is this desire? He wanted to live in flesh even as humans do. In fact, according to

Genesis 1:26

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God made man in His image (vessel). This means that He placed Adam’s soul in the vessel that He intended for Himself. Is it then a strange thing if God takes the body for Himself at salvation? God wanted to use the body for the same reasons a human needs a body. He wanted a form that would allow Him to express Himself in a non-threatening manner. He desired to be expressed or identified in the physical realm. Therefore, when He comes to live in these bodies, He will live through them.

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

There is such a marvelous reality in the scripture above. Let us break it down. For we are his workmanship The workmanship of God is the process necessary to convert a human being to a son of God at salvation. It involves a refashioning and a reforming of the creature we were in order to create a whole new thing. Every aspect of our being has been reformed, even our bodies. The sons of God are the end-result of the workmanship of God. He has joined our soul in oneness with His Spirit, and our bodies have been made pure to house the Holy Spirit. created in Christ Jesus unto good works… This aspect of the verse causes us to identify where our souls were placed. They were placed in Christ.

This means that we will partake in anything and everything that Jesus planned to do through the body. …which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. God already knew the life that He would live through our individual bodies. He had already determined all those He would bless, save, influence and impact, through us. However, the purpose for us being created in Christ, is that we would partake in the good works God already predetermined Himself to walk in. Our focus must be on God and His life through us. When we see this, we will realize that all God requires from us is to fellowship with Him as He lives through us. He wants us to be a witness of His use of our bodies. Ministry is the work of God in and through us. God is the anointing that we have received. Only He can bless, strengthen, move people spiritually, save, heal or encourage. Consider the examples below. MINISTRY

Roman 12:3-8

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Ephesians 4:6-7

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. The scriptures above confirm, that the gifts of ministry, are performed by God. Simply put, they are the role that God will perform through us. He is the treasure we have in these earthen vessels; therefore, the power to minister is by Him. There are times when we might get discouraged while looking on our own abilities, knowledge, and wisdom. However, this is because we begin to focus on ourselves as the source of ministry. When we rest in the fact that ministry is performed by God, our only focus will be on staying holy so that He can work through us. When we are holy, God will speak through us and use us mightily. His spirit will also teach us and will cause us to grow more and more into effective ministers. PRAYER

1 Corinthians 14:14

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

Romans 8:26-27

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. The Holy Spirit will pray in and through us. When we pray in tongues, we are listening to and beholding Jesus pray to the Father through us. He will always pray a perfect prayer and it will always be answered. When we pray in the spirit, we pray mysteries that we might not understand or know. However, Jesus is praying according to His knowledge. It is also very possible to pray by the Spirit without praying in tongues. This is when our prayers are led by the Holy Ghost, you will find that the Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak, and lead you in what to pray for. This too is Jesus praying through us. PRAISE AND WORSHIP

John 4:24

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Even our praises should be performed by the Spirit through us. The only worship that the Lord desires, is a worship from the position of the Spirit. Furthermore, it is written that the Father sought such to worship Him. The scripture below confirms this.

1 Corinthians 14:15

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

The very songs we sing should be sung by Jesus through us. Jesus wants to use our bodies to sing praises unto God. He has access to our whole bodies to praise God.

Hebrews 13:15

15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Our praises should now be by Jesus! He is the one that will praise and worship God through us. Our worship should always be a sacrifice. It should cost you something. Whether it is time, energy, focus, etc., it should cost you something. When our hearts are in agreement with this, we will not quench the Holy Spirit when He desires to express Himself fully through us. Saints, it is already written. God is in us! Our bodies are for Him. He will perform good works through us. All we have to do is allow Him to!
