It is going to be most interesting following the steps of Jesus Christ from the birth canal to his trip to hell and back to the throne of grace. It is necessary that we do this in order to prove that he is indeed our express example. His place in heaven… The Holy Trinity is most often referred to as The Father, Son and Holy Ghost. But we have learned that originally it was known as the Father, the Word and Holy Ghost.
1 John 5:7 (KJV)
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
This is the original Trinity, the Godhead that rules over the entire universe. But before we move on, if we take a closer look at the activities of the Word, we will see even more clearly Jesus Christ is indeed the Word of God, made flesh.
St. John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John having seen the Word in the bosom of the Father, also saw it come down in the personage of Jesus Christ. In his gospel he writes… “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It doesn’t get any plainer than that. You cannot separate the word from God.
Hebrews 4:12-14 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Here again we see the word of God being made synonymous with Jesus Christ. Even the prophets of old prophesied of his preeminence.
Micah 5:2
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

The testimony of wisdom is the testimony of the Word The Word having been made flesh, lived among us and manifested the life we are to inherit and live. Now right here it is very important that you understand what is meant by ‘Jesus manifested the life’. To do so, we must go to the apostle John.
1 John 1:1-2 (KJV)
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
Note that John refers to him as the Word of Life. Paul called him the Righteous Seed, Peter called him the Incorruptible Seed. What are they all saying? Could it be they are declaring that which is written in the record in heaven?
1 John 5:11-12 (KJV)
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Now these are the things you must understand:
1. Eternal life is not your life extended because you are saved.
2. The only life that is eternal is the life of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the life we received at salvation is His life. Literally, it is His life. It is the life that came with or rather in the Holy Ghost.
3. The life of the Spirit is the only eternal life. By it and through it (the Spirit of Christ) we are begotten and made the children of God.
4. In him (the life or Spirit of Christ) we live and move and have our being.
5. Do not judge these truths by your failures. Your actions or sins are acts of disobedience to God and rebellion against your own nature.
6. It is the spirit that provides us with nature.
Therefore, having been made partakers of the divine nature, we are in the world but not of the world. That life is full of grace and truth, but it is not unique in the Body of Christ. We were all given ‘that life.’ Jesus prayed for the Father to give us the glory of oneness. We are one with the Father and the Son, a Royal Priesthood and a Holy Nation. I don’t know of any other way to say it. We are born of the Spirit and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. His life is in us. We are made one with him and the Father. We have the mind of Christ not to be used as an option, but as a manifestation of the will of God.
