Probation, Suspension & Dismissal Guidelines

PROBATION,SUSPENSION, AND DISMISSAL GUIDELINES

The leadership at BTI is committed to doing everything possible to see that each member is made aware of their full potential in Christ. It is our desire that everyone be used in the service of the Lord, and in the capacity that He desires. However, there must be accountability. There are times when we are in need of leadership with the wisdom and spiritual insight to guide us back in the right direction. Accountability is part of our son training. The guidelines below were developed with these principles in mind.

I. PROBATION & SUSPENSION GUIDELINES:

To follow is a list of reasons one might be placed on probation or suspended from active ministering. However, the reason for one to be placed on probation and/or suspension is not limited to the following.

1. Excessive lateness to meetings. It is the responsibility of each board member to phone the president

and/ or secretary when they will be late or unable to make a scheduled meeting or service.

2. Excessive absences from meetings and services.

3. Lack of seriousness and faithfulness to the PSA Board.

4. Lying

5. Stealing

6. Insubordination

7.Disrespectful

8.Not performing duties of appointed position.

9.A refusal to deal with iniquity and other negative mindsets.

10.Reporting for service in a stained, wrinkled or bad smelling uniform three times within a two (2) month period.

A.During Probationary period:

1. Board Member’s conduct, character and overall spirituality will be closely supervised by the board

President, Vice President and Senior Pastor.

2. Probation time frame (30 days, 60 days or 90 days) will be determined by the President .

3.The Member will still be allowed to serve during services, conferences, school of the prophets, fast

tracks, etc., locally, and abroad.

4. The Member must still perform the duties of their appointed position. For instance, if you are the

treasurer, you must still perform your duties as treasurer.

5. The Member is still expected to attend scheduled meetings, prayer sessions, shut-ins, special outings

unless, specifically, told not to.

6. Dues must still be paid on time.

7. At the completion of the probationary period, the president, vice president and/ or senior pastor will meet with the board member concerning their status on the board. It is during this time that the member will be informed whether or not they are permitted to return to active duty, probation period is extended or if they are being removed altogether from the PSA board. A thorough explanation will be given for whatever decision is made and the board Member will be given the opportunity to voice any concerns they may have.

B. During Suspension period:

1. Board Member’s conduct, character and overall spirituality will be closely supervised by the board

President, Vice President and Senior Pastor.

2. Suspension time frame (30 days, 60 days or 90 days) will be determined by the President .

3. The Member will not be allowed to serve during services, conferences, school of the prophets, fast tracks, etc., locally, nor abroad.

4. The Member will not be allowed to perform the duties of their appointed position. For instance, if you are the treasurer, someone else will assume that responsibility.

II. DISMISSAL GUIDELINES

The following actions warrant automatic dismissal from the PSA Board.

1. Two (2) or more probations/ suspensions, regardless of the reasons, within a 1 year period.

2. Insubordination

3. Lying

4. Stealing
