THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST

Jesus comes to the earth and sets up the Millennial Kingdom. Listed below are some of the activities and events that will take place during this 1000 years. Time will not permit us to list them all here. My intent is to give you an idea as to the environment we will live in.

A RECAP OF THE KINGDOM

Revelation 19:11-18

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

1. Jesus is coming back with the saints of the first resurrection. Those who had died before the Rapture as well as those who were raptured.

2. He is coming to make war with the anti-Christ and his kingdom.

3. He is coming as King of kings and Lord of lords.

4. He will smite all the nations of the earth and rule them with a rod of iron.

5. The birds shall eat the flesh of the slain.

6. Wolves, lambs, leopards, goats, lions, cows, bears and children shall eat and play together.

7. The animals shall no longer eat one another, but they shall eat the straw as the ox.

8. A child will play among snakes

9. All planet Earth shall know God.

10. The Millennium is the fulfilling of the Davidic Covenant.

11. The kingdom will be established in justice and judgment.

12. Jesus will set the order.

13. The people of the Millennium will live long lives. But they will die. This is confirmed in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. We know that this passage refers to the Millennial Reign and not eternity because in eternity there is no sun or moon that shines on the people of God.

14. No man is allowed to enter into this area. It is reserved for the Prince and the Father.

15. There are those who will serve the Master His meals.

16. Now this is really evidence of peace on earth during the Millennium. Israel, Egypt and Assyria shall serve the Lord together.

17. There will be no more wars and threatening concerning the different elements of worship.

18. They all will worship the Lord in peace and harmony.

19. Their form of worship will be the same.

20. They will offer sacrifices for sin.

21. They will build a highway that will connect Egypt and Assyria.

Zechariah 8:20-23

20 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

The true sons of God can hear the urgency in the call to preach the gospel. The coming Millennium is the blessed hope of every saint. It is a time when all our suffering will be over. It is a time of rejoicing and power and love and strength, and adoration. We are the sons of the Living God. He put this plan in motion before He laid the foundations of the world.

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Here, Jesus simply rehearses the great commission: We are the carriers of the latter rain. The world is in need of a Savior. If we are not diligent they will never know that Jesus is the true Messiah. Time is of the essence. Gird up and let’s get rolling. God has given us the airways, let us get busy using them to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
