Revelations to the Soul

1 John 1:5

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

The Father began to speak: I have visited you and placed many truths in your spirit that have become revelations to your soul. I have led you to this place for this time. All things of your past were to prepare you for this moment. For now, you will understand my words. Even so, the choice will still be yours. You must choose to follow after the light I send to guide you.

The Light you saw is the path of the deep and pure contents of your heart coming up before me. You see, I know your thoughts, but they too must be full of love for my people and my ways before I will receive them. Love is the essence of your existence. Without it you, yourself, would not be. When your love for me and my people is the foundation of your thoughts and desires, then I am swift to bring consolation and peace to your soul.

Yes, you have prayed for my people many times in the past, but there are times, as is today, when you really hurt and fear for them. There are times like today when your soul has taken on the infirmities of your brothers and sisters who do not know me or my ways. It is when your soul truly longs to see righteousness and my name exalted that I hear and receive your prayers.

My Son, Jesus loved me and desired to do only my will upon the earth. All other desires and thoughts are vain and not worthy to come up before me. There must be a singleness of heart in these matters. You must completely embrace the oneness I gave you. Your whole body, soul, and spirit must be filled with my desire for my people. This is your purpose on the earth. You are in the world, but you are not of the world. Your heart’s cry caused me to lift the veil from your eyes that you may see and understand the paths and the prayers the righteous must take.

You say my people believe the Word I have given you, but do they really? Have they truly embraced the light, or are they still in denial of their heritage? Many have heard me with their ears but not with their hearts. They desire to serve but the fragments of unbelief are warring against the truth. Because of this they can never have the intimacy with me they seek. And what of those like yourself who do believe and do minister in this truth? Your heart wants to know why you are not able to consistently manifest the power of My Spirit in great exploits, that would rally my people to come and hear the words of life.

Now I ask you Mary, what will they see? We know that they would hear the words that I have given you, for you are faithful to teach that which I give. But what would they see? Have you decided to maintain a walk in the Spirit or will you continue to vacillate back and forth in and out of carnality? This lifestyle would bring reproach on the ministry and make it a lie. To present such to the Body as manifested Sons would be the same as presenting antichrists to lead and guide my people.

For my leaders must lead by example. I will not be blamed for your frustrations. They are of your own making. You have not totally sanctified yourself to the truths I have given you. Unless you do, you too will join the many relics who have served their usefulness and are now discarded. In the end you will go down to the pit of darkness and burning. Nevertheless, once again your heart has reached out to me. It is full of concern not only for you, but also for the souls of my people. And again I will answer. Love is the foundation for prayer, and prayer is the platform for our relationship and the ministry I have given you. It is in prayer that your mind, heart and desire toward me are revealed to you. It is in prayer that you utter your true desire for my people. Not with your lips, but with your heart. I see the contents of your heart and I make note of the emotions of your soul.

My people have offended me with their vain sayings and their iniquities. They have laid their wantonness at my feet and thought to secure their desires with much fruitless utterances they call ‘spiritual warfare.’ They have sought to make the angelic host co-conspirators in their pursuit for things and the wealth of this world. They have dishonored my purpose and made mockery of the grace I poured out to them. “Yes, Lord,” I replied. “We are guilty of all, but we are yours. We are the workmanship of your hands. We are of your Christ. We are the bone of His bone and the flesh of His flesh. We are not deserving, but would you deny Christ? There are some whose soul pants after you.” I told Him, “I cannot write this book. It must come from you. I don’t need your help, I need to be your scribe. Speak to your people, Father. Remember your mercy. Lord, Teach Us To Pray.” He answered, “Sit before me and I will.”

Let us look very closely into this word of the Lord regarding the disposition of His people. I have visited you and placed many truths in your spirit that have become revelations to your soul. I have led you to this place for this time. All things of your past were to prepare you for this moment; for now, you will understand my words.

In writing this study guide, I realized that what the Lord has said to me was relative to the teachings He has fed us here at Bible Teachers International for the past thirty years. During this time the Lord has spoken many things; and as always, His words went straight to our inner man. The Word of God becomes a revelation to the soul, only, when you accept it as truth and law for your life. This is agreement with God.

This agreement makes a powerful impression on your being (the soul). Though in Him we live and move and have our being, we must allow ourselves to be influenced by the will of the Father. Neither the Father nor the Son will usurp authority over your will’s ability to receive or reject. Nevertheless, the revelations of God are light to the soul. This light is the spiritual continence of the Christ living in your flesh. He is light and the light of His obedience to God will shine in your heart (soul) the moment you too are in agreement with the Father.

2 Corinthians 4:6

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Our God, who commanded light to shine when there was nothing but darkness, has caused that same light to shine in our hearts, which were once darkened by sin. The revelation or knowledge of that light says that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life that we now live in the flesh. This light that is in us is the glory of God, which can only be seen in Christ Jesus. That might not be so hard to understand, but the truth is, the next verse is where the revelation trail splits, and perspective and righteous perception is lost.

2 Corinthians 4:7

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Now Paul speaks very matter-of-factly. We have this glory of God in a human vessel. But he furthers his comment with the implication that because this treasure is in a human body, it is assured that any power must be of God. He concludes that God’s presence is in the flesh. That enables it (flesh) to perform those things that would be impossible for the human being to do; i.e., walk in the Spirit or operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Moreover, it would be impossible to be a partaker in the fellowship of Christ sufferings without offense.

This is where the Church has missed the intent of the Father. It has not comprehended that trouble, perplexity and persecution are all part of the salvation covenant. I think he also said it best to the Thessalonians:

2 Thessalonians 1:4-5

4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.

Failure to embrace this concept of suffering with Christ has caused the church to walk in a mindset that approaches the Father with a spirit of entitlement. In other words, we seem to think we are entitled to deliverance from all forms of persecution or discomfort of any sort in this world. Therefore, our prayers are vain; because they are void of the acknowledgement and willful fellowship in the sufferings of Christ.

The church has a “woe is me,” attitude concerning suffering or persecution. Prophets have been neutralized by this mindset. It has blinded their vision for the church; because their focus is on themselves and the things they are going through. We were left in these bodies so that we can be a partaker of the sufferings of Christ. However, this concept has gotten lost in the modern day preaching of the gospel.

The sufferings in the flesh are supposed to be manifested tokens of our righteousness; instead they have become tokens of our contempt. Thus the question is, “How are we going to pray in purity, when we are so scornful of our sufferings?” I really want us to see the mind of the servants of God, relative to suffering.

Acts 5:40-42

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

It is time to be honest with ourselves. How many of us are actually glad to suffer for Christ? The truth is, here in America, no one is really physically beating the children of God. Yet many Christians are offended by the least bit of adversity or discomfort they might have to experience. In actuality, there are many who do not have the substance we enjoy, nor the conveniences we take for granted every day.

Sometimes, it is the natural things the Lord has withheld from us that offend us. Notice the dialog here, “rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.” What does this really mean? What is it that would make them worthy to suffer? Well, that is simple. It was their faith; their agreement with God. It was the embracing of the sufferings of Christ that created a mindset that did not oppose the will and purpose of God in their lives.
