The Vision: Eternity

I want you to think on these things for a moment. We are the only creatures in the universe within whom God lives. No other being can boast of this; not even the angels, they are messengers, created beings. They were created to serve the Lord; whereas we were begotten to be the offspring of God. We are His children. We have His heart, mind and nature. We are of His seed, therefore of His kind. Can you imagine being surrounded by billions of angels and other holy creatures, but none of them are as You? God wanted a people. He wanted sons and daughters that were likened unto Him. But the law of creation is set; every seed produces after its own kind. Therefore, if God was to have a people of His own kind, He would have to plant His seed (which is the Word of God), in the earth. This was the plan from the beginning.

The earth is the Lord’s and all the fullness thereof. All things were created by Him and for Him. Yes, it was God’s intent from before time, to eventually move His throne to the earth; an earth that was populated by those of His kind. The good pleasure of His will was to have Himself a people. He would no longer be alone in the universe. He would have a family, who would be gods. The angels will bow down and worship them and all creation will behold their glory.

In the vision, I saw the truth and God’s construction of the Body of Christ. I saw God living and moving among and within His creation. It is the concept of the Body of Christ that the church has not comprehended or embraced. Even those of us here at Bible Teachers, have not fully comprehended the true meaning of being a member of the Body. Suddenly, I understood the motivation behind some of the scriptures we quote so freely and ignorantly.

Romans 12:4-5

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have

not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one

members one of another.

We must believe as the scripture has said. The Body of Christ is many members, not just one, as we have seen ourselves to be. The concept of individuality is the dividing factor in the Body of Christ. It is also the origin of unbelief. Though the Church speaks of membership in the Body, it does not really embrace the fact that each of us are members one of another. Each saint is a vessel within which the Father lives. When the scripture declares that we are the bone of His bone and the flesh of His flesh, it makes each of us a part of the whole. This is what it means to be members one of another. In other words, your fingers are members of your hand and your hand is a member of your arm, etc. Without the hand the fingers would not be able to function. Likewise, without the arm, the hand would not be able to fulfill its purpose. Nevertheless, these are all of one body.

The concept of member has not resonated with the Church. It does not see each saint as a member or part of a whole. Instead it embraces individuality, which makes it selfish and self-serving. And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Mark 8:34). It is impossible to obey this passage if one does not see himself as a part that is compacted with that which it is to supply the rest of the body. This “I, me and my” syndrome hinders belief in the eternal purpose of God. It cannot see that the new man is God living in our fleshy bodies.

To the church this is theological theory. It does not embrace it as a literal and present truth. Therefore, the concept of oneness with God and each other is lost in unbelief. This is sad because unbelief reigns in spite of the pouring out of truth. The same was true when Jesus, Himself, tried to convey the truth of God to those who were students of the word.

John 12:42-45

42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: 43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. 44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

Those in Christ’s time did not believe Him because they preferred the praise of men rather than God. I am sure that in some cases that remains true today. However, many refuse to accept the truth regarding who they are in Christ because:

a) It defies most of what they have been taught.

b) It makes us responsible to live a sinless life; taking away all excuses.

c) They prefer not to oppose tradition.

However, the scripture holds true. 1John 4:17 "because He is, so are we in this world". When will we accept this truth as law for our lives? God lives in us. That is our uniqueness. There are no other creatures liken unto us. We are divine in nature, and the only offspring of the Most High. When I saw the Lord walking among His people, I could also see that they were all filled with Him. They were all of His kind. The soul of each creature was a memory of redemption, love, adoration and reverence for the Father. No longer were they seeing darkly as through a glass; their knowledge was complete, for they knew, as they were known.
