Working God's Plan

Whenever the Lord is working His plan; He works it in the midst of His enemies. Therefore, because God works His plan through us, we too, work His plan in the midst of His enemies. This means there will always be opposition to what God has determined. The devil will always work against what God has put in place, but we know Satan has already been defeated. The devil cannot change or stop what God has determined. God’s Word and plan are not vulnerable to man or Satan.

He does not change His intent because of adversity. Neither does He start something He cannot finish. Your part in the plan for your life is to believe God. It is for you to trust Him as He leads and guides you. However, you must make yourself totally vulnerable to His will for your life. At no point must you seek control or make decisions concerning the way you will go. Consider the spoken Word of God to be impregnable. There is no weapon formed against it that can prosper. Once the Lord makes you to know His will for your life, there is nothing that can stop you from performing that will. Oftentimes, we judge God by our present environment.

We judge God’s plan in our ministry and in our lives based upon what we see happening in the environment He has placed us. If our local church is not progressing as other “mega” ministries then we judge our own according to what we see elsewhere. As individuals, if we are not moving in ministry like our peers or as we feel we should be moving, then we judge God’s presence in our life by what we see happening in someone else’s.

What God has determined for our lives is not vulnerable to our environment. We are the only ones who can hinder what God wants to do in us! Why? Because we are the only ones He has given the right to disagree with Him. He has given us the right of choice. In it, we can choose to conduct our own affairs, make our own decisions and establish our own way. Of course, there are consequences to such a decision, but reality is, the choice to allow God to lead and guide us is ours.
