The Sons and Israel

We must cover all the bases regarding our true spiritual location. One of the things I feel the church has, to some degree overlooked or has not given due consideration to, is its attitude toward the Jews. This is a very serious matter, for it is the preservation of the Jews that should be at the top of our prayer list. We understand bible prophecy and we also know of the destruction to come. Where is our compassion being revealed? We are so busy making a living and securing our own personal lifestyles, that the disposition of Israel is just something we hear on the news. The heart of the Sons of God must be the same as the Father.

Romans 11:26-27

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

God made a covenant with Israel speaking through the prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah 11:11

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

There will be a remnant of the nation that survives the wrath of the antichrist. It is with that remnant the promise of the Lord will be fulfilled.

Romans 11:28

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

For the moment, the nation of Israel has made themselves the enemy of God. But the love of the Father is powerful toward them. It is the power of that love that guarantees He will revisit them in the latter days. Nevertheless, their rejection of Jesus Christ, as their Messiah, served its purpose in bringing in the Gentiles. It is for our sakes they are seemingly forsaken. It is good for us to remember that they are of the election and beloved of God.

Romans 11:29

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

The gifts and calling of God are according to the words spoken by Him. They are not dispensed according to the responses of mankind. It is the love of God for us that motivates Him to pour out grace and mercy.

Romans 11:30

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

There was a time when we did not believe and rejected the Lord. But the mercy of God was faithful to seek out the hearts that would act upon the influence of the Word. He found us. We did not go looking for Him.

Romans 11:31-32

31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

We must not become as many nations in the world towards Israel. They are the chosen of the Lord. It is through them that the Church was formed. Now that the tables are turned regarding unbelief, it is needful that our mercy be expressed in continual prayer for that nation. We must continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We must reach out with the gospel, not the chastening rod of contempt. Our love and support of their nation must be strong, for the Lord has spoken:

Genesis 12:3

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Romans 11:33

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

It is so sad that the riches of God have been made liken unto silver and gold and corrupt things. It is also equally as sad to know that the acquiring of the true riches (wisdom and knowledge) is never regarded as being directly related to our attitude and response to situations and relationships that require grace and truth. It is the knowledge of God that produces love for those who reject the gift of God. It is that knowledge that causes us to sacrifice our lives and livelihood for those who are lost and out of the way.

This is the only love that is acceptable to the Father. It is not a hard thing because it is from the Father. You must allow yourself to experience the deep things of God. If we walk in His Spirit, the love of God is manifest in and through us. We will automatically take on the burden for Israel and all mankind.

Yours in Christ, Mary Banks Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ
