INTRODUCTION

WHO IS THE HEAD OF WHAT?

In this conference we will examine the role of the Father, the Son and the man in the household of faith. I think this is one of the most controversial issues facing the Body of Christ. In the resolution of this issue the church will return to the worship and reference of the Father.

HEAD

1. (b) metaphorically, of the authority or direction of God in relation to Christ, of Christ in relation to believing men, of the husband in relation to the wife, But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

As to 1 Cor. 11:10, taken in connection with the context, the word "authority" probably stands, by metonymy, for a sign of authority (RV), the angels being witnesses of the preeminent relationship as established by God in the creation of man as just mentioned, with the spiritual significance regarding the position of Christ in relation to the Church; cf. The Lord has made the following passages so clear, that if a man would open his heart in earnest, the blindness of ignorance to the will of the Father would be done away with.

Brethren, prepare your heart to hear what your Lord has to say to you. If my life and soul are at stake, I would have to maintain that the Lord Himself has commissioned me to deliver this word unto you. Listen with an open heart, and the Lord will bless your ministry and prosper you in His purpose. To close your heart and mind to what the Spirit is about to say will bring judgment and the wrath of God upon you. Those who are born again will know the truth, for it will bear witness with their spirit. I guarantee that the Holy Ghost within you will testify of these truths to your inward parts. Let us take this matter step by step, allowing the scriptures to be the authority and mind of God the Father.
