One Route

Saints, our life in Christ is remarkable. The life that is Christ is one with experiences that can truly be fulfilling if we allow Him to lead us. This is a glorious time to be in God and He wants us, now more than ever, to understand the complete ramifications of our salvation. Often we have settled with the belief that the circumstances, situations and relationships we face everyday are trials of our faith that we can choose to pass or fail. We have even taught the lesson on the “Trials of our Faith” in this ministry but God wants us to go beyond the mere belief of life as a series of tests. In the diagram located on the next page, there is one central path. That path is the life of Christ and the only way to the Father.

St. John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Our lives on earth may present several routes or walks of life that may seem good alternatives to the one in Christ but there is only one option if we desire to see His face in peace. Jesus taught us that Christ is the way, the truth and the only life that produces eternal rest with the Father. He spoke this in spite of every encounter, negative or positive, we can experience while abiding in His life. Despite what any other religion, teaching or even perverted doctrines in the Body of Christ may attempt to substitute Christ with; there is no substitute for the true life of salvation. We must be careful not to minimize the life we live as merely a test. Our experiences are tests but the life we live goes far beyond that. It is a test of whether we are going to make it to God. Our souls are on the line and to secure our souls we must remain on the path God has laid. Everything outside of His route is death, no matter how good it looks to the natural eye. If we walk in death, or separation from God, we will perish. God placed us on this path at salvation but gave us choice and we can choose to step away from it. However, let us not deceive ourselves that we can vacillate from the spirit to death and vice versa. The moment we move out of the Spirit, we abide in death and we are open prey for the enemy.
