Introduction

Young people, once again we thank God for bringing us to another Youth Advance. This time will not be like any other because God is cleaning the church. Time and time again multitudes have come, but now God is weeding out those who have just come for a trip and those who have come to change. Before we go into the Word, let me give an analogy that might help you get a mental picture of what God is doing: Most of you know that we (MSOG) have been recording our new album. Well, while recording, there is something called a microphone compressor. This compressor allows whoever might be singing or rapping to do so as loud as is comfortable for them, but the sound will never get distorted. The technician can move the level up or down to tailor the sound that he wants to be made.

The volume may go up or down, but will always stay within a certain level to where it will always be clear. Once the level is set, then anything over that level (which causes distortion) will be cut off, therefore, the listener will never hear it. You might ask yourself why I am telling you this, but you will see. In the church, God has a compressor set. His level is set at the Word; Truth. So now we see the Word of God as the compression level and the congregation as the sound being produced. With the level set on truth, all those who choose to live outside of that level are cut off. Now you may think this is a silly analogy, but that is just where God is with the church. God is on the move now, and all those who are going to move with Him must be true representatives. When the world looks at the Body of Christ, they must now see Christ, not a distorted Body that looks just like them. So let us look at ourselves and see where are we found inside the Body. Are we going to be found outside the boundaries of truth or are we going to live our lives with the Word as our compression level? Keeping that in mind, let us go into the Word.
