Purpose of a Prayer Council Board

The prayer council is a group of intercessors elected or appointed by the apostle or the local pastor who are given the responsibility to pray consistently for:

• The Reformation

• The Body of Christ

• Those who are ignorant and out of the way

• The government

• The nations of the world

This group is headed by an international president who is to ensure that each location in the Reformation has an active prayer council/intercessory board. The local president at each location is responsible for the training and development of the intercessory board. They are to come together regularly for discussion and consultation of matters and concerns within the ministry and the church which need to be carried before the Throne of Grace in prayer and agreement.

Responsibility – The international president is responsible to train and set up prayer vigils (prayer watches) in the ministry with the approval of the senior leadership in each location.

Some prayer council instructions and comments from the Chief Apostle, Mary Banks – September 2007 A direct quote from Dr. Banks, “It is time for us to be true intercessors – we need to constantly care for the people as well as the BTI Ministry and the world. We as saints need to ask ourselves these questions: “What are we looking for if not to fulfill the purpose of God?” “Where are the sons of God?”, “Are we respecters of persons?”, “Do we look at our fellow saints after the flesh?” Prayer needs to be encouraged more in all locations. We are coming into the last days and if we do not have a relationship/communication with God, we will not make it. PRAYER HAS TO BE IN YOUR HEART.

Instructions: Please Pray for the Following Every Time the Board Comes Together

• Pray for Unity among the Body of Christ and within Bible Teachers International

• Pray for worldwide evangelism

• Pray for the Nations

• Pray for the Body of Christ

• Pray for pure hearts towards God’s people and Israel

• Pray for the Internet TV Station

• Pray for the finances of the Ministry

• Pray for the disposition of the Saints – both physically and spiritually

• Pray for the Apostle not to worry about the Ministry

• Pray that the saints come into agreement with God for their lives Jesus is the only intercessor whom God recognizes and that is why we must walk in the salvation of Jesus Christ.
