The Father said: I have made it easy for you to identify with Jesus, though many have not accepted the fact that Jesus did not have an advantage that kept Him free from sin. This is a mindset that must be destroyed in the Body. The truth is, you do not have a high priest who was not and is not touched by the feelings of your infirmities. He was tempted in all points even as you are. He simply chose not to sin (Hebrews 4:15). But you are thinking that it was easy for Jesus to abstain from sin. He never really knew any sin.
I want you to consider these truths: I made Adam a perfect man. I gave him the earth for a dwelling place. He and Eve had no foreign spirit or evil concupiscence working in them that could cause them to sin. I created them perfect, sinless and free. So, what was it that made Adam sin against me? Was it not his choice to do so? You say it was easy for Jesus to walk in the earth without sinning because He never knew sin. But the same was true of Adam. He, too, never knew sin until he made a decision to disobey me. You want to find a crack or a loop hole in my finished work. That is impossible. The work is finished indeed. The problem is apparent. My Church has denied its own salvation experience. You have lived a lifestyle of sin, vacillating from righteousness for so many years until you have forgotten that in the beginning you, too, had no propensity to sin. You loved righteousness and your heart was filled with a desire to serve me. But there was no challenge to your errors. Eventually these errors and failures became a ‘lifestyle’. In fact, this lifestyle was encouraged by a word declaring it to be impossible to live in this world free from sin.
In spite of the work of redemption, men continued to create doctrines that undermined the Truth. You say Jesus is unique in that He never committed sin. Thus, He had no memory of sin. You claim this to be the reason you are unable to walk holy before me every day of your life. The truth is that the memory of sin is not captivity. The fact that you remember the things I delivered you from is what provokes your praise.
The memory of the pleasures of sin is not a power that holds your will captive. If so you would not be selective in your choice of the sins you purpose to commit now. An earnest response from you would be to agree that there is no foreign spirit continuing to live in you bringing you into captivity as beforehand. You simply sin by choice. If you are reading this without ever really having had the born again experience, you will not be able to comprehend these principles. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:14). But if you have my Spirit in you, then you are charged with these things.
Again, Jesus is your example in every aspect of the salvation experience. The angel visited Mary and declared she would bring forth the Son of God. But then I so loved the world that I gave my first begotten as the last sacrifice. At birth and death, Jesus was the only begotten. On the way to the cross, He took on the sins of the world. He that knew no sin became sin. The very body I prepared became a body of sin, in that He carried the sins of the world in it. Now the law demands death for the soul that sinneth (Ezekiel 18:20).
When the sins of all mankind were laid upon Christ, death was His destiny. This was my plan and my method to keep my promise to the forefathers and also deal with the god of this world. Sin demanded death and death is separation from God.
Hebrews 2:14-18
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
My Word is spirit and it must be received by your spirit. Jesus is indeed the Son of Man in the flesh. He was born of a woman, whose body was sanctified by my Spirit. He came forth without sin or the nature of sin. Had I not sanctified Mary’s body, Jesus would have inherited the sinful nature of her flesh. When Jesus took on the sins of the world, He became even as a sinner. It pleased me to slay Him by my eternal law. He died the death of a sinner. After the debt for mankind was paid, I came for Him again and said, “Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.” Is not this confirmed in the book of the Acts of the Apostles?
Acts 13:33
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
In that Jesus died, He was born again. He testified of this in the Revelation.
Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood
He is the first to be begotten from the dead. He is the first of many brothers. It is not true that He was not acquainted with sin. Though He committed no sin of His own, He became sin on your behalf. If this becoming sin had no affect on Him, it would not have been necessary for Him to die (become separated from God) and pay the penalty for sin. He was made likened unto man in all things. He is indeed my pattern and example of redemption. He too, was born again. Amen. Come away from the excuses.
Salvation has caused us to escape the corruption that is in the world. Forasmuch then as Christ has suffered for you in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin. It is the mind of Christ you inherited at your new birth. It is a mind that has not allowed sin. To walk in His mind is to cease from any struggles in the flesh. It is the mind that has kept the body under submission to God’s will. You will no longer live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-3).
If you embrace these truths, you can come boldly unto the throne, obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. I can feel that there are some of you reading this that are still not convinced of your ability to live a life free from sin. You are not sure that you can live every day and every moment of the day without committing a sin. Therefore, you feel you will always have to repent of sin before every prayer. This is sin consciousness and fear. You live with the fear of failure. You anticipate the day of your fall. But the truth is that you don’t have to fail or miss the mark. You can choose to obey the truth. Don’t be offended with God because He does not force you to live holy. Instead, He left you with the right of choice. Agree with God. How? Say to Him… Father, help me in my unbelief. I know that your Word is true. I know you desire holiness from me. Help me to understand this Word by making it alive in me. I don’t want to struggle with sin or lust for the things of the world. But it seems that my mind is always working against me. If this is not so, then help me to understand. I am not sure that I know how to agree. You say that I must believe on you the way the scriptures have said. Well, I agree that you are my Lord and Savior. You are in control of my life, not me. I submit totally to whatever your will is for my life. I will have only the things you give me and I will seek to do only the things you command. I WILL DEPEND ON YOU TO LEAD AND GUIDE ME IN ALL THINGS. I give up my will and my way to you. I will obey your Word and meditate on those things that pertain to the faith. I will trust you to be a Comforter of my soul in adversity and all things that would cause me to despair. My Father, let me feel your Spirit consume my innerman and rest upon my flesh. Let me hear with the ears of Christ and feel with the emotions of your Spirit. Let His desires become my own. I truly want to experience the peace that surpasses understanding. I submit all that I am to you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
