WHAT IS A PRAYER WARRIOR?

The general mindset regarding prayer in the Body of Christ is that of standing in the world performing a ritual that supposedly is going to give them access to the spirit world. Once they have entered this world of spirits through much prayer supplications, and warfare, they are ready to talk to God, informing Him of their needs, hopes, and desires, as well as the needs of others. Immediately after talking to God, they turn now to deal with demons and all the powers of darkness, so as to guarantee that nothing will hinder the receiving of the things they asked God for. Oh what a struggle this is for the Body! First of all, there is a struggle with the powers of darkness to get to the throne. Then there is a one-sided conversation with a God who does not speak, and then there is another battle to be fought with the powers of darkness so that they will not be able to stop the blessings of God from getting to the prayer warrior. Jesus has already conquered the powers of darkness so it is not necessary for us to start another war with these principalities.

The saints have robbed the Father of His time with them by spending that time talking to the devil. Remember prayer is communication with God. Faith is also misguided in that act of prayer for much of it is expended trying to gain access to a Father who is omnipresent. He not only lives in heaven, but He lives within us as well. Many either do not believe God will answer them or maybe it is that they are not fully persuaded that they were indeed talking to Him. In some cases, Faith is used simply to believe that a prayer warrior is indeed standing in the spirit world, talking to the Father and battling the forces of evil, all in one session. Prayer is never to be offered from the position of the flesh. Otherwise saints will see themselves as a part of this world; trapped in it by circumstances, situations and relationships. Then their only hope is to reach a very distant God for help to survive this hostile environment. That can cause you to embark on a journey as Daniel did, “to get a prayer through” the demon infested first and second heaven so that they can finally talk to the Father. This is an easy mindset to operate in if one does not grasp the concept of a new creature in Oneness with God.

The Father and the Son are forever present in the Sons. How could they not be? Our lives are hidden with Christ in God. Therefore, there is no need for the Sons of God to war with demons or any other satanic powers in their attempt to speak with their Father. The Sons of God have already transcended the first and second heaven. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (Eph 2:6). We are already seated in the throne with Christ so it is not necessary for us to do battle with the enemy to get to the throne of grace. We do not have to fight the devil in order to receive those things the Father has purposed to give. Furthermore, as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly (I Cor. 15:48-49). We are the offspring of God. We are partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 2:1).

We are the evidence of a living Christ; because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

From the above verses and many others, the Body of Christ has embarked on a journey that will take them nowhere as it relates to spiritual warfare. The scriptures admonish us to try every spirit to see whether it be of God. We have entered a dispensation where the Lord is restoring the government and order to the Body of Christ, as in the days of the early church. There are many voices that claim to be that of God’s apostles and Prophets, those to whom the revelation of the Mystery of Christ is to be given first. As commanded by the Master, I am listening to the voices of what is supposed to be known as a “prophetic word.”

The word that is coming out of the mouths of prophets must be judged as to whether it is in line with the proper perspective of God’s purpose in the earth. However, only those who are spiritually interactive with the Father can judge such things, for some of these prophetic words are not delivered according to Scripture. They are subtly pointing the Church towards a “Dominionship now” doctrine. This doctrine makes the Saints of God wealthy and in control of what is happening in this world. This doctrine is being cleverly disguised and cloaked inside a call to righteousness. This doctrine will seek to make wealth and the riches of this world fit inside the righteousness of God., However when the message of "Be Ye Perfect" is delivered, those who are preaching 'Dominionship now' message have to acknowledge that there are many truths that cannot be refuted. When there is a want for things, recognition and power over people, that Domiinionship now message is a way that is found to try to bring some balance to the word that is now coming out of Heaven. The perspective of Scripture and the Prophet’s word has to be within the boundaries of what the Bible teaches. True Prophets of God cannot be seduced by the influence of money, pleasures of this world, lust and greed. Otherwise their hearts will no longer be pure and they will not clearly see the Kingdom of God and therefore their prayer cannot be offered from that position. In essence, the Scripture does not instruct the saints to take dominion over Satan and take back all the things he has stolen from them. Anything the devil may have taken were all materialistic and ordained by God. The focus of the Sons of God in prayer are not for material things neither husbands, wives nor job promotions.

. There is no where in Scripture that the Church is declared to be the head and not the tail. The Scripture speaks of the Church that it will be persecuted until the day of the Lord. DOMINION NOW DOES NOT EXIST! The things God allows the Saints to possess now are for the furthering of the Kingdom in the earth. God will not feed our vanity. We have only been given power and authority to perform the Word of God. If we have complete dominion in this world, then we would be able to suppress all the forces of evil and we would not allow any persecution or hindrance to our cause. The error in these teachings began with the man’s interpretation of Scriptures such as the following.

St. Luke 10:19

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The key words here are “power over all the power of the enemy.” From this men have more than suggested that having power over all the power of the enemy means the ability to rule over and take back all that Satan has done. This is not a a restoration. Let us be reminded of the conversation Jesus had with His disciples just before His departure to heaven.

Acts 1:6-8

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Revelation 1:3-6

3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 20:6

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

It is not the time for the sons of God to reign or have dominion on the earth. They are to rule and reign with Christ when He comes back to set up His Kingdom on the earth. We cannot reign without the Kingdom and the King being installed. We can wait for that day when the Master will return and restore all things. Consider these truths: The old patriarchs were not concerned about materialistic gain but were waiting on the promise of the Spirit. They were excited about being released from the burden and weight of sin. They were excited about the possibility of receiving eternal life. They longed to walk in the righteousness of God, not the glory of this world. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” If we live in the Kingdom then our authority is in the Kingdom of God. That authority can only be exercised in this world according to the purpose and glory of God. God will not feed our vanity.

St. Mark 16:15-18

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
