Why Isn't Everyone Healed?

1) The Gospel of Healing Has Been Discarded:

Romans 10:17 states that "Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." Today many seek healing without sufficiently hearing enough of the word. This hearing of the word would create or cultivate true faith. The early believers were unanimous in their approach to healing, collectively praying for the sick and witnessing miraculous healings in Jerusalem after Christ's ascension, as recorded in Acts 5:14-16. This created a culture of belief and faith in Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:14-16

14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 -- There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Much of today's church, influenced by tradition and unawareness, does not embrace healing as did the early church. Often, there's a preference for skepticism over unified prayer; a lack of belief, and apathetic spirituality replacing the fervor of the Spirit-filled early church.

We must consider whether the lack of healing in some instances could be attributed to the church's own unbelief, as we are all members of one body.

Imagine if the concept of being 'born again' was deemed outdated. Would this not impede the gospel's effectiveness in that aspect? But what if from our spiritual conception, we were taught about healing as an integral part of the gospel? It's likely that faith for healing would be as straightforward as any other aspect of our faith.

At the time of the great healing crusades, which were prompted by the church, (the believers themselves, not the apostles), Jesus was gone back to Heaven. It was the believers who believed in a healing gospel. And they acted on that belief. They actually brought their family and friends, the indigent, the crippled and lame, and the demon possessed. Put them forth before the elders of the church and watched the Lord Jesus heal them all.

This was not solely the faith of individual evangelists, but a church belief. The early saints knew that healing was a part of the gospel. We must not redefine the contents of the precious salvation God has given to us. If there is slackness, or a lack of manifestation Let us look to ourselves.
