The Kingdom Of God Revealed: The World In Chaos

It is an understatement to say that our nation is divided and our federal and local governments are in turmoil. What we are looking at now as America, is becoming more and more unfamiliar each day. Our citizens are diverse in their native origins, and with each diversity comes civil hatred and communal wars. I truly wish I could say that these hatreds and wars were confined to unbelievers. But that would be a gross misrepresentation of the truth. In many cases, and in certain environments, Christians are at the forefront of conflict and physical and spiritual violence. Many Americans are asking, “How can we fix our nation? How can we save our democracy?” Shamefully, pastors have capitalized on the fears of the people and are now using their pulpits as political platforms, and their sermons have become political speeches. In America, churches are either Democrat or Republican. They are no longer a welcoming, “Come as you are” haven for the oppressed sinner, nor are they beacons of truth for the weary soul searching for divine guidance. The sad reality is that those who are truly searching for God’s heart and mind feel that they cannot rely on the Church anymore, because it too has become politically divided and compromised. This is a great falling away. The truth is, Spirit-filled pastors. prophets, and “wannabe” preachers are focused on feeding the fears of the flock to gain their personal and/or political goals. The Holy Ghost is tremendously grieved. He is here to testify of the truth, which says these leaders and their flocks have departed from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The truth is, they are ignorant of what it means to be leaders in the Body of Christ, or they are purposely flawed. The scriptures are very clear about what the Kingdom of God is, as well as what it is not. Likewise, it is very clear what a son of God is, as opposed to what he is not. Consider the following:

Romans 4:13

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Romans 8:16-17

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of

God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

The Body of Christ needs to stop and consider these passages. Paul makes it clear that Jesus was promised to inherit the world. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. But Paul doesn’t stop there. Four chapters later, he cites the power of the Holy Ghost in His ability to bear witness with our spirit – that we are the children of God. Apostle Paul continues by telling us what the Word of God says about God’s children - they are joint-heirs with Jesus. He is the eldest Son; therefore, He receives the greater portion of the inheritance. Nevertheless, the ruling or reigning over the entire world is shared with the members of His Body. You would think that this would be exciting news for the Church. However, it is treated as just

another message. But if the Church would stop to think of this great glory we are promised, maybe we would appreciate our salvation more.

John 17:14

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Long before the coming of Christ into the world, a statement of profound significance was made by God concerning dominionship on earth.

Daniel 4:32

32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall

pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

The Church has forgotten some very essential principles:

1. The children of God are divine in nature, which means they are not of this world.

2. The world, as we know it today, is not our eternal home. We will inherit a world ruled by our Lord Jesus Christ, in which we will rule with Him.

3. In this world today, it is God who rules, and gives power to whomsoever He will. So the governments of the world are by His design, not our political votes.

4. We are fighting civil wars to secure our earthly ambitions in a world that is going to be ultimately destroyed by our Father.

5. We have one mission: Get as many souls out of the world and into the kingdom of God

before the wrath of God comes upon the earth.

If we truly believe these facts, we would not entangle ourselves with the politics of this world. But because the Church walks in unbelief, it has forsaken its true calling– the procuring of souls.

It is true that the nations of the earth are in chaos, uncertainty, war, economic decline, and troubling times. These facts are right before us. However, instructions on how to deal with such facts have already been given, and examples have been set before us. In King Nebuchadnezzar’s court, Daniel was a young slave. The king was a ruthless conqueror, whom God had empowered to subdue most of the known world. But during his time of slavery and subjugation, Daniel did the

two things God demanded of His people:

1. Submit to the powers I have placed in authority.

2. Pray without ceasing.

Daniel did these things consistently. He never participated in any political plots to unseat the King. Instead, he prayed for him. This is the king who threw Daniel’s best friends into a fiery furnace. Yet he sought the Lord on the King’s behalf, receiving interpretations of his dreams. Because of his submission to the will of God while living in the midst of constant wars and uncertainty, the cruelty of slavery, and the constant threat of death, Daniel was able to bring King Necuchadnezzar to the truth.

Daniel 4:34-35, 37

34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever,

whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among

the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Nebuchadnezzar did not know our God. He needed a life before him and an intercessor who would sit before God for him. The world today does not know our God. They need a life of righteousness lived out before them. And they need intercessors. Have we forgotten our mission here on earth? Are we so caught up in the same fears the world is experiencing, that we have become ineffective in bringing glory to the Father through Jesus Christ?

God Calls Us To Prayer

1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, (worship and fellowship, to come and reason together);intercessions, (to request or ask on behalf of another); and giving of thanks, (to praise God); be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It is the will of God for all men to know the truth. It is His desire for all to be saved and not perish. This is the reason for the sacrifice of our Lord. This is the reason we are appointed to suffer in this world. Our dominionship is in the Kingdom of God. It is our responsibility to bring the power of the Kingdom into this world through our righteous obedience to God.

2 Peter 2:9

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

It does not matter how unrighteous our governments may be. Nor does it matter what wars are waged or what the world’s economics evolve into. We are the children of the living God. We will not be made afraid of these things. We have a Comforter the world does not have. It is our responsibility to bring Him to as many as possible. As for ourselves – Leave all judgment to God.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Consider that to judge men before the time, is to make those who judge others unrighteous. All will be judged by God; the good and the bad. Regardless as to how many Christians have turned their backs on the truth and have forsaken

God’s Word, there are still some sheep left. The sheep will obey the commandments of the Lord. The sheep will hear and do as they are instructed. Be encouraged. Trust in God.
