WHAT SORT OF “SON” ARE YOU: WHO ARE YOUR EXAMPLES

Now is a time to give serious thought as to what sort of person you are; and whether God is truly using you.

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Can you truly say that you are an example of what a believer in Christ is?

1. In word: what is the tone of your speech? What is the spiritual disposition of your communication with others?
2. In conversation: What kind of life or lifestyle do you live before the church and the world? Can others look upon your ways, actions, and spiritual demeanor and see Christ?
3. In charity: Are you loving, kind, long-suffering and forbearing? Are you forgiving and generous?
4. In spirit: What is your exhalation? Do you really walk in the Spirit, or do you walk after the flesh? Are you carnal minded, or do you exhibit the mind of Christ?
5. In faith: Can others see your faith in Christ? Or is it that they just hear you speak of him. Are you pessimistic, depressed, doubtful and unbelieving?
6. In purity: Do you exemplify a pure heart toward all men or women? When others interact with you, do they entertain hidden agendas, malice, jealousy, wantonness, lust, iniquity, or the love of God.

1 Timothy 4:15-16

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Think about these things. Do not let them slip. Paul is very intentional here. If you do these things, you will save yourself and others. There is no other way to say it brothers. This is the life you must live in order to make it in the kingdom of Christ upon his return. This is the life you must live if the Lord is to work with you in ministry. Awe, ministry! Who are your examples in ministry? Now you judge for yourself whether those you choose to admire or follow, are men who walk and minister in the character of God, and the integrity of ministry, commanded in Scripture. My dear brothers, God is not mocked. He says what he means, and he means what he says. You have issues that God put in your life for your making. These are issues that God will not allow to be resolved in your timing. They will not be resolved until God accomplishes what He wants to accomplish in you. You will have an option. God, through foreknowledge and foresight,He already knows the choices you will make concerning obedience to his word. He also knows whether you will dfo as Judas did;” only receive a part of the ministry.” Nevertheless, what he did not embrace destroyed him.

Yes you will have a choice: live or die. You can neither fade into despair, waiting on God to do something in your ministry that He is never going to do until you move into a righteous place. But know assuredly, God is not going to allow men to hold His people in bondage. Those who continue to sit under leaders who walk after the flesh, do so willingly. It is truly the blind leading the blind. Both will end up in the pit. There is something the Lord said to me that was very alarming. He said, true men of God in the Body of Christ are facing extinction. Choose the life of Christ and live.
