There Is No Humanity In Salvation

The word mystery is first mentioned in the New Testament. In a literal sense, it means that which ‘shuts the mouth.’ Thus, a mystery is a secret. In order for the church to understand the Mystery of God, God Himself must reveal it.

1 Timothy 3:16

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,

believed on in the world, received up into glory.

First of all, we must understand that this passage is referring to the sons of God. Many use it to describe the ministry of Jesus here on earth, but, in actuality, Jesus did not preach to the Gentiles. The apostles who came after Him such as Paul, Barnabas and others, were given the ministry of bringing the gospel to the Gentiles. By extension, all sons who are not from the nation of Israel are considered Gentiles, and thus the scriptures are actually testifying of us.

Colossians 2:8

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

It is interesting that Paul would use words like:

Philosophy - man’s theory that acts as a guiding principle for behavior.

Vain - having no meaning or likelihood of fulfillment or success.

Deceit - to conceal or render a misrepresentation of the truth.

Tradition of men - doctrine that is said to have divine authority, though not found in the scriptures.

Rudiments of the world – principles of the world.

God knew that men would creep into the Church and install doctrines that would not reflect the heart and mind of the Father. This is done, however, because of the lack of apostolic order in the Body of Christ. God works within the order He has set. The revelation of Christ is given to the apostles and holy prophets (Ephesians 3:1-5). Since the revelation of Christ is unknown to them, men have developed doctrines based upon their experiences and failures. They have attempted to define the miracle of salvation by the transmission of their beliefs and customs of their organizations, movements or private interpretation, . . . and not after Christ. The gospel must be preached according to who Christ is in the Church. He must be the same in us as He was in the early church.

Colossians 2:9-10

9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

In that body, called Jesus, was the entire Godhead. But the very next verse declares the same to be true of us. We are complete in Him. For in us also dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily, from the Greek Word, ‘somatikos’ which simply means physically. In spite of what you may not believe, the entire Godhead dwells in the body of the believer. But the body of the believer has been resurrected. It has also been circumcised. It no longer has the nature of humanity. It is the temple of God and it has the nature of God.

God literally walks among men in all His fullness by taking on a body. The works He does in their presence will cause the children of this world to recognize Him. He also takes on a body in order to satisfy the law of kinsmanship. This does not make us a less potent version of the Jesus we see in scripture, but the same Christ lives in us, and it is His life that is manifest to the world.

Salvation is the manifestation of the mystery of God. It is not a plan or operation that can be discerned by the intellect of men. But as it is written, ‘eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit

searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God’ (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).

It never entered into the imagination of man that he would be the true, physical son of the living God. After all, God is a Spirit. How could we possibly be the physical offspring of God? But that is precisely what the Father has done. It will take a whole lot of spiritual guts to proclaim this great truth and its real meaning.

God is the Father of spirits. The natural man is a human being. This means man needed a human body for the soul to express itself. The Bottom line - the fleshy body makes man human. Thus, man became a living soul. The body is nothing without the soul and the soul has no form of expression without the body. It needed a body in order to enjoy this world given to it by God. But now the soul is a quickening spirit.

THE CHILDREN OF GOD

Beloved, let us see this great mystery through the eyes of the Father and His divine purpose.

2 Corinthians 6:15-18

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

God Almighty wants children of His own. We can enter into a lot of speculation as to why He seemed to have such a need or desire, but it suffices me that it was the good pleasure of His own will. Nevertheless, how is He going to accomplish such a thing? After all, we are talking about turning human beings into gods. I mean that has to be the end result. If He is a God, then how could His children be anything other than what He is? No wonder Isaiah asked the question, “Who has believed our report?” (Isaiah 53:1). But this is not speculation or conjecture. It is truth.

Psalm 82:6

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

John 10:34-35

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

God proclaimed it in the Psalms. Jesus confirmed it in the gospel that the scripture cannot be broken. Nevertheless, many who are reading this are still skeptical of even the thought of the saints literally being gods. It would not matter how many scriptures I render, many will never even consider these things to be true. They would rather believe it is some type of symbolism instead of reality. I was in Jamaica when I heard the Lord say, “There is no humanity in salvation.” Needless to say, I was stuck. My spirit began to leap within and I knew this was a vital key needed to unlock the Kingdom.

Paul testified that, if any man be in Christ (is born again), then he is a new creature (1 Corinthians 5:17). But it was Jesus, who gave us the identity of the new creature. He said, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, (this could very easily have been read, that which is born of a human is human) and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit” (John 3:6). Here Jesus makes a distinct difference between flesh (human) and Spirit. This new creature is a spiritual being. He is not of the flesh, neither was he born by the will or power of the flesh. He is of God. All things regarding him are of God. He is not an old man made better; he is the offspring of a living God.

Let us go a bit further here. One will say, “But we have a human body, so there is humanity in salvation.” But beloved, consider the whole matter. We just learned in the previous chapter that we have put on the ‘New Man.’ This new man is Jesus Christ living in our mortal body. His seed remains in that body until death. However, if this is the case, then our body is not the same as before salvation. It has divine nature.It has the nature of God the Father. It has the emotions and desires of God; all previous lusts and human affections were crucified withChrist. So you now live with Christ in a ‘new man,’ who is renewed in righteousness and true holiness.

Hebrews 12:9

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

God is a Spirit and He is the Father of spirits.

Romans 8:15

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:6

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Ephesians 1:6

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Brothers and sisters, what is it going to take to persuade you of this great truth? We are not human beings anymore. In Him we live and move and have our being. Yes, it is true that we live in earthen vessels, but the body is not a part of our true identity. It will go back to the dust, but we will go into eternity. God is in man, but God is not a man; and we are one with God. Therefore, if He is not human, then neither are we.

2 Corinthians 5:16

16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

As long as we see one another and even ourselves as human beings, we will always see the potential for failure and sin. In doing so, we deny and reject the revelation of this great mystery. It was the soul that cried out for salvation, and it was the soul that was saved. Nicodemus asked Jesus if a man could go back into his mother’s womb and be born again. The answer is “No.” This rebirth is a regeneration of the Soul.

Hebrews 10:39

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

The new creature is a union of the soul with the Holy Spirit. The Soul has been reborn in the Holy Ghost: the Spirit of oneness. It has its memory of the life it lived in the flesh; therefore, it is able to praise God for such a great deliverance.

O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death? Who shall save my soul out of this body of sin? I thank God for Jesus, the apostle said (in Romans 7:24-25). According to Romans 8:9, we are no longer in the flesh, but in the Spirit. The new creature is not of this world; he is a heavenly being and he lives in the Kingdom of God.

We will go further into this great mystery, but for now, will you accept this truth? Will you bring yourself to say that the sons of God are not human beings? They are spiritual beings, clothed in the Spirit of God. Will you agree with Paul that all things pertaining to you are new, and all things are of God? If so, then you truly comprehend that God did not bring any humanity into our salvation.
