THE SALVATION OF THE BODY PART III

CHAPTER FIVE

Now let us address the issue at hand. At the time of Jesus’ prayer in John

17, those chosen to be His disciples were bodies that were already occupied.

They belonged to souls of men, who were held captive and manipulated by

the spirit of iniquity. In order to claim the body as His own, He had to remove

the occupying spirits within - the soul and the spirit of iniquity.

Thus, through the operation of God, when we cried out for salvation, Jesus

returned to the earth as the Holy Ghost. He removed our souls from our bodies

and placed them in His Spirit. Simultaneously, He bound the strongman, the

spirit of iniquity, and evicted him from the flesh. Thus, the body is empty,

sanctified, and available for the Master’s use. He then enters the vessel,

exercising His power over it - dwelling in it from henceforth.

John 17:3

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus

Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Our bodies are no longer our own. Through salvation, Jesus has poured eternal

life into our flesh - quickening that which was dead in sins, and making it

alive unto Himself. If we want to know or experience God, we must enter into

His flesh. In other words, our soul must be baptized into the physical

body of Christ by being joined to His Spirit.

I do not want you to be confused here. I am simply saying that Jesus paid the

price for your body as well as your soul. It belongs to Him now. He lives in

it. Paul states it very plainly; I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless

I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in

the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself

for me (Galatians 2:20).

In plain old layman’s terms, we no longer live in the flesh, we live in the Spirit,

(which is the faith of the Son of God). The Holy Spirit baptized our bodies

into His death. This allowed us to be partakers of the atonement. Through

the baptism of the Spirit, we were made one with the crucifixion of Christ.

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were

baptized into his death (Romans 6:3)?

Furthermore, when Christ and the Father set up their abode in our body, it

becomes a new man. They do not come to live in the old man. He is dead.

Nevertheless, he was resurrected (quickened) by the power of the Holy Ghost

to be a holy habitation for the Father. No he did not have to go back into his

mother’s womb, he was simply born again from the dead by the Spirit of the

Living God.

Ephesians 5:30

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

The lonely seed has been multiplied. He has taken our earthen vessels as His

own temple. We are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Truly the Father has

glorified His Christ. We are the Body of Christ.

Now this is the sum of the matter. Read it carefully and note the highlighted

Points.

Romans 6:5-8

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we

shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of

sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

If through the Spirit of Grace we were crucified with Christ, then should it not

follow that we live with Him in the power of His resurrection? This is the power

of holiness unto God. That is the awesome effect of grace. We can now live holy

unto God.

Romans 6:9

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no

more dominion over him.

Likewise, death has no more dominion over you or your body. The body you

are in right now cannot die as long as the Spirit of God lives in it. And when it

is time for you to leave this earth, you fall asleep in Christ. Saints never die, as

death is separation from God. Death is swallowed up in victory.

Romans 6:10-12

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto

God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but

alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should

obey it in the lusts thereof.

This is the responsibility given to the recipients of the grace of God. You are

responsible for the deeds done in the body. The Grace Revolution seeks to

relieve us of this responsibility. This is also an attempt to remove any and all

conviction you might have when you sin against God.

Romans 6:13

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto

sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and

your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Now we are given to understand that sin is a choice,

no longer a captivity. It only has the dominion we

give it.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are

not under the law, but under grace.

It is the power of the Spirit of grace that destroys

the power of sin in the life of the believer. He that

committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth

from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God

was manifested, that he might destroy the works of

the devil (1 John 3:8).

I caution my brothers of the Grace Revolution - do

not find yourselves doing despite to the Spirit of

Grace. For you are attempting to teach things you do

not yet understand. You are also overthrowing the

faith of many; by implying that the Spirit of Grace

was not given to free them from sin itself, but just the

penalty. Such teaching takes away the hope of never

returning to the things we once did in sin. There

is no freedom in a gospel that is unable to

destroy our lusts and sinful behavior.

Romans 6:15

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under

the law, but under grace? God forbid.

What part of “God forbid” don’t we understand?

Sin is and always will be forbidden for the people of

God. We are not serving God under the law written

on tables of stone, but the law written in our hearts

and in our minds. We are under the law of the Spirit

of Grace. Therefore, we are delivered, set free, and

liberated from sin. That is the power of the grace

given unto us.

Romans 6:16-18

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves

servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye

obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto

righteousness?

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of

sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of

doctrine which was delivered you.

18 Being then made free from sin, ye became

the servants of righteousness.

We are the holy habitation of the Father. We are the

sons of God. We are the Body of Christ.
