God's Expectation and Perspective

Why was Satan so successful at dividing the church with denomination, traditions, and doctrines of devils? Why did the church rally around these anti-Christian doctrines? Why did we swallow them, hook, line, and sinker?

I could easily say that there are several reasons why we became so willingly gullible to these falsehoods; the first on the list would be the lack of apostolic order. Without true apostles receiving the revelation of truth, and installing that truth into the Body, there could never be a real manifestation of the church of the script. Thus, we have a facade that tries to pass itself off as the real church. But it is an empty storefront, that has been robbed of its virtues, victories, and birthright.

Let us further examine the error that has caused this tragedy. I really need you to follow me here. Save your judgment until after you have heard the conclusion of this matter. There are two very prominent voids in the teachings received in mainstream Christendom.

1. God’s Perspective of the Church
2. God’s Expectation of the Church

Most of our latter-day theologians have not yet viewed the Church from God’s perspective; therefore, it never truly entertained God’s expectation of the Church. The absence of apostolic order formed the stronghold of spiritual blindness. But God is faithful. He has raised up some true apostles who are charged with taking the truth to the Body of Christ.

God’s Expectation of The Church

There is something important that the Church missed: we did not see God's expectation for the Church:

Acts 26:22

22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

Paul put God’s purpose in perspective for us. At salvation, we were created with His purpose built into our creation. We did not need to be told to reach out to souls, we were given everything we needed to fulfill the ministry of reconciliation; and all things that pertain to godliness. This is God's expectation. This is what happens when you are one with God; you submit to what you are, and you agree with the oneness God created in you. When God joined your soul to the Holy Ghost, He made you one with Jesus Christ. His passion is now your passion. His love is your love. His faith is your faith. There is no division. If there is any division, it is caused by your war against what God created you to be. This is a rebellion against what you are.

The Body of Christ is love, faith, compassion, and consideration. And because you are one with Christ, the Father expects you to allow Christ to operate. He expects the faith of Christ to be revealed; to be manifested through you like it was with Paul. Paul did not war or chide with it. He did not try to scrutinize it. He just surrendered to the Christ in him. When he surrendered, Christ was manifest.

I really want you to be able to see as God sees.

2 Peter 1:3

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

The Father gave us his life and the ability to fulfill all righteousness.

2 Peter 1:4

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus has made us partakers of his divine nature that is no longer corrupted by the lust in this world. Therefore, we have the ability to manifest the love of God. But we are also given the mind of Christ. Now that mind has but one purpose for operating in this world; to reach the lost with the salvation offered by the Father. The Father joined our soul to the Spirit of Christ. Thus, as he is, so are we. Well, it would certainly follow that we would have the same passion for souls as our Master.

This is the expectation of the Father. We would love Him with all our heart, and we would love our fellow man, as our self. These are the only two commandments given to the church. But the church is unlike Israel; Israel could not keep these commandments because the spirit of iniquity lived in them, making them vulnerable to the law of sin and death. But that is not the case with us. We are partakers of the divine nature of our Father. Our conscience has been purged of sin and dead works. The old man is dead, with his affections and lusts. Therefore, the compassion for those who don’t know God is a driving force within us. The Father expected us to yield to that force, not fight against it. He expected us to do as Paul, run to the hedges and highways to gather the lost.

Because of the mind of Christ, he expected us to be willing to lay down our lives for our kinsmen. This is the love of Christ manifested. This is the love Christ admonished us to abide in. Do you get it? The Father gave us everything we need to manifest Christ in the earth. All we have to do is obey the Holy Ghost and follow his lead; and that is the expectation of the Father. We were not able to love or feel for the creation the way the Father and the Son were. The Lord brought us into his royal family through the Spirit; that we might be able to feel what he feels, to do a he would do, to judge as he would judge, and to love as he loves:

1 John 4:16-18

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

God’s Perspective of the Church

What I am about to write constitutes a visitation from the Lord. It will surely uproot the influence and effect of false doctrines in the hearts of all who seek the Lord for truth and perfection in their walk.

1 Timothy 4:6-11

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

Put in remembrance…. Bring to the attention of the church.

These things…. the things he mentioned in the first five verses. In this epistle to Timothy, we see the prophetic voice of the apostle:

1 Timothy 4:1-5

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

There is so much to be learned in these two verses:

Now the Spirit speaketh... In these last days, the Spirit of God will speak to the church. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. When the Holy Ghost speaks, he will tell of that which is contained in the scriptures. But Jesus declared that the volume of the book is written of Him. Therefore, the Holy Spirit renders to the church the testimony of Christ.

John 5:39

39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

John also declared this characteristic of the Holy Ghost in the Revelation:

Revelation 19:10

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Prophecy and the Spirit of Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ.

To summarize, the scriptures testify (bear record, bear witness or declare to be a witness, and evidence) of Christ Jesus. When Jesus instructed the Jews to search the scriptures, he was referring to the word that had been made available to them, the Old Testament. You think you have eternal life, but the Law you so cherish, testifies that I am the only dispenser of that life. Go back and search it out. Now please, follow me here. The original testimony or Old Testament was made flesh, in the personage of Jesus Christ; that it might dwell among men. But going forward to the New Covenant, the figure that spoke with John declared that the brethren (the Church) now have the testimony of Jesus Christ, which is the Spirit of prophecy. We are the fulfillment of the promises of the Old Covenant. Now the Word is made flesh in the personage of the Church.

It is of the utmost importance that you truly grasp what is being said here. Each born again believer is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Jesus lives in us, in the person of the Holy Ghost. In fact, the Holy Ghost is the embodiment of the entire Godhead. The Father and the Son have come to sup with us, inside the Holy Ghost. Each of us have been made one with them. Jesus’ prayer has been answered! We are one with Him by the operation of the Father. He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. We have been baptized in the Spirit (submerged in the Spirit of the Father and the Son). That is the operation of God. He did what Jesus asked him the do. He made each of us one by and with His Spirit. Therefore, as he is, so are we.

Furthermore, whatever the character and characteristics of the Holy Ghost are, so are we.

1 John 4:17

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Now we can see why the doctrine of salvation requires the death of the old man. Those who are in Christ are new creatures. Old things are passed away, and all things are new, and all things are of God.

1 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are in the world, but we are not of this world.

John 17:14

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world

If you can receive the fact that you are not of this world, then why are you so mindful of the things of this world? Paul addressed this long ago.

Galatians 4:3-9

3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

These are the facts:

1. Luke 6:40 (The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.)
2. You are the word made flesh.
3. You are the righteousness of God.
4. You are the witness.
5. You are the Spirit of prophecy.
6. You are the substance the world is in hope of.
7. You are the evidence of a resurrected Christ.
8. You are the faith of God manifested.

My Brothers and Sisters, be encouraged; for the Lord has favored you; in that he has poured out unto you the truth.

Acts 2:32-33

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

• After the resurrection, Jesus ascended to the throne of God to receive the Holy Ghost from the Father which was promised to man before the foundations of the world were laid.
• He poured out that Spirit upon 120 of his followers on the Day of Pentecost, and they prophesied.
