Chapter One: Why Didn’t I Know? Why Did i Miss It?

It is the way of the Lord to bring us face to face with truth. Afterall, the Holy Ghost, is the Spirit of Truth. Nevertheless, many are reluctant to confront the reality that is their own spiritual disposition. This might be one of the hardest lessons I have ever had to write. That in itself is unusual for me to even think, let alone say. But it is true. You see, there are those in the ministry who are so deceived and blinded by a virtual reality that has been created for them by a lying seducing spirit, until they are not able to hear God.

It is fair for the people of God to look to the prophets of God, for a word from God that is to guide the church into walking in the heart and mind of God. Amid chaos, violence, fear and despair, the sons of God are to listen for the voice of God as a Comfort and guiding light.

Just as those of the world look to their government for answers and guidance through the maze of uncertainty, likewise, the people of God ought to be able to look to the church government for answers and guidance in the darkest of days. However, the truth is, many who serve in the church’s government (apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists), have been seduced by the spirit of the world and have become toxic to the Body. Many saints have been led away from the mind of God by these Godappointed officials who have given themselves over to the spirit that opposes all that is godly. Now many of the church leaders in America are honest men, who allowed themselves to be seduced by what they themselves judged as best for the nation and the church. Therefore, they began to preach, pray, and prophesy things that were not the will of God. So, let us go back to

what the script says about prophecy.

1 Corinthians 14:29-31

29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

1 Thessalonians 5:20-21

20 Despise not prophesyings.

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

WHY DIDN’T I KNOW? WHY DID I MISS IT?

Although I intend to do another book on latter day prophets and how they are consistently missing the mark, it will suffice for this lesson to say that for the most part, prophets are missing it and do not know the will of God for the nation, simply because they have their preference. Their preference, however, never considers all the variables the Holy Spirit is working with to accomplish the desire of the Father. Preference will cause you to hear that which you want to hear. It will cause you to modify, analyze or give interpretations to dreams and visions that are not the intent of the Father.

Preference will cause you to open your heart to a spirit of seduction that feeds you things pertaining to your desired preference. This is why so many American prophets of 2020 were not accurate in their predictions regarding the 2020 presidential election. The prophet is the vessel who utters the oracles of God. He or she is to live a life of sanctification and supplication that reaches the throne of God. But when the prophets of God allow themselves to get caught up in the politics of the day, they are bound to miss the heart and mind of the Father.

For one thing, we are instructed, … No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (2 Timothy 2:4).

Ministry is spiritual warfare. It will always encounter opposition from the enemy. The affairs of this life are carnal in nature but must be dealt with spiritually. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing

that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

The weapons of our warfare are the Holy Ghost, prayer, and faith in God. These are the weapons of the people of God. The Holy Ghost, the spirit that makes the Body one with God and each other, has been replaced by a‘political party’ that divides the nation and the Body of Christ viciously. The power of prayer has been replaced with the ‘power of the vote.’ Faith in God has been replaced with faith in a political candidate. Beloved, these things should not be. But the prophets of the Lord have also gotten caught up in the political rhetoric and media frenzies. In doing so, they too have been seduced by the spirit of the world. Thus, they prophesy out of their political preferences and party biases. These prophets left their stations. They are no longer the watchmen of the Lord. They cannot hear the voice of God. It has been drowned out by controversy and violence in the midst in which they stand. Not as voices of divine inspiration and hope; but as participants in the chaos. They are entangled in the affairs of this world.

I would say to the fallen prophets, shake yourself and awaken from the power of your seducer. Remember the way of the Lord. Seek His face and His counsel. Repent for the error and the misleading of the people of God. You built hopes up on that which was not real. Many are devastated, not knowing what to do next, or where to turn. Some have lost confidence and the expectation of ever hearing a sure world from the Lord. This is tragic. Repent for following your own preferences and presumptuously assuming you know what is best for the nation and the Body of Christ If you move back to walking in the Spirit, then you can speak according to the will of the Father. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). But this prayer has no meaning to those who have abandoned the kingdom and operate as mere men in the world. Repent my brother. Repent my Sister. The Lord will forgive you and if you truly humble yourself, He will allow you to serve Him again.
