Chapter 1

There is no creature that exists that is nearly as wise as our Father God. He has written the course of time with His finger and absolutely nothing takes Him by surprise. Everything that exists, ever existed and will exist is the result of what He allowed. All things were made by Him and for Him. They were made for His eternal purpose.

Ephesians 1:3-5

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Our souls have been blessed with the Spirit of Christ. We have been joined to His Spirit thus creating a new creature. This creature is a son of God or as Psalms 82:6 calls him, a god. The joining of our souls to the Spirit has caused us to ascend into the Royal Family of heaven.

Our souls are present in heaven right now, seated in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We are partaking in the ministry, wherein He serves at the right hand of the Father. Even on the earth, we are often stirred within the Spirit as He offers up prayers of intercession through us, by the Spirit. This is a great oneness. Is it robbery for God to make us partakers of His godliness, by His Son Jesus Christ? This is a foundational truth of the gospel. Our oneness with God and Jesus has made us gods or simply put, sons of God. Our conversation is in the heavens and our being exists in Him.

Summary Scripture:

2 Thessalonians 2:4 - Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. all that is called god

I remember discussing the scriptures with the Father one day. We were also speaking about the disposition and the hesitation of the saints concerning the message “Ye are gods”. As I pondered on these things the Lord said to me, “The oneness of the soul in My Spirit has in no way transformed me. I have not become less than I am because of Our oneness. The presence of the soul in Me has not and cannot downgrade me. Rather, the soul has been transformed into what I am. Therefore, it is blasphemous to believe that those who I am one with are anything less than who I am, because by doing so, you have downgraded me.” I realize the people that buck at the revelation “ye are gods” lack an understanding of their salvation. At salvation we were transformed into new creatures; translated from darkness into the Kingdom of the Son. Our dwelling is now in a heavenly place called Christ Jesus. This transformed being is no longer a human

– he is a god.

Though many have found this truth a hard pill to swallow, the Lord is ready to take those who are of faith deeper.

1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Yes God has called His sons gods. They are gods, simply because they are the children of God. God’s principles and scriptures cannot be broken: every seed reproduces after its kind. However, consider verse 8.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. Throughout the context of Psalm 82, God is rebuking those that He called gods. However, there seems to be a break in conversation when we get to verse 8. Suddenly, there is a singular and capital use of the word ‘God’. He teaches that this God will inherit all nations. Well consider this scripture.

Daniel 7:13-14

13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

The God being spoken of is Jesus Christ the righteous. The King of kings and the Lord of lords. So, we can see clearly that God is indeed speaking to Christ, however, is this a break in the flow of context or have we simply failed to connect the dots? Throughout the Psalm 82 we can say indeed that God was speaking to his children, the saints. However, let us not forget how a son of God is formed. He is formed by a baptism into the Spirit of Jesus Christ. His godliness is a result of His oneness with the Lord. Therefore, the gods that God had been talking to are those whose souls were already baptized into Jesus Christ; and the life they are living in the flesh is by Jesus Christ. The Church is the body of Christ, and he is the head and the source of our godliness. We have been made one with him in every sense of the word. Therefore, the words spoken in verse 8 is not just to Christ, but it is to Christ and His body, the Church. Saints, open your eyes and see the blessed salvation of the Lord. The Lord recently told us that if we will not live as a god in this world, we will not qualify to live as one in the next. Now, He is explaining to us why.

All things were made by and for God, for the pleasure of His will. Then ask yourself, what is this will? His will is to have a family. Beings of His kind, that He could relate to as His own. Moreover, He had an immense desire to multiply. He has achieved this!

Hebrews 1:1-8

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Consider the great achievement of the Father. He created a Son who is as He is. However, in Hebrews 1:8 we see clearly the same God who testified Himself to be the only God, calling another a God.

This ties in with Psalm 82:8, which states… Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. But let us take this even further by examining the following scripture.

Matthew 5:5

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. It seems by this scripture, the meek shall have a share in the inheritance of all nations. Why is this so? It is so because they by salvation have become joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. What is the sum of all this? It is simply this. All the saints together make up one Body – the Body of Christ. They together with Christ are called by God, a God.

I want us to pause for a moment and consider the following scripture.

Daniel 11:36

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

The Lord is soon to come but his enemy is coming sooner. The Antichrist, the great man of perdition will come as a king of the world in these last days. Daniel was given vision to see him and his deeds. He will exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and will blaspheme God almighty.

It seems the theme that God is a God of gods is consistent throughout scripture. However, pause for a moment and consider the phraseology of the verse above.

… he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods… Paul quoted this scripture, however, in his paraphrasing He has revealed a great mystery.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

That which Daniel has termed ‘gods’ and ‘God of gods’, Paul has termed ‘all that is called God’. Why is this? because we are one with Jesus Christ.

This is why we will not be able to qualify to live in the world to come if we do not live as a god in this current world. This is because our life in the flesh is being recorded and will be used to determine whether we qualify or not to manifested as part of the God – Jesus Christ. Our life now must therefore be spotless, because, the God that God has formed cannot sin. This is the standard by which the Father will accept us in the end as Sons.

1 John 3:9-10

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

The Sons are the handywork of God, they are a perfect work. Therefore, God’s expectation of his sons is that of perfection. He chastens (trains) his sons to walk in his holiness according to Scripture:

Hebrews 12:9-10

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

The Father desires to raise each son to be fully aware of their oneness with Christ. He will never accept anything that is sinful as a son, much less as a god. Therefore Hebrews 12 also explains, If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons - Hebrews 12:7-8. This makes certain that those of us who will not walk as gods, the Father will not embrace as sons. He and Christ will deny or reject us. Jesus said, then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity - Matthew 7:23. This reveals that He and the Father will not just judge us if we sin, they will deny that we were ever sons. By living beneath our nature as sons, we will forfeit our rights to be called sons in the world to come. Now is the time to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Will you inherit the earth with Jesus Christ the Lord? The choice is yours. Be holy.
