Chapter 1

Most recently, the Lord pulled back the veil of the scriptures to reveal eternity to us. Through Isaiah 57:15, we saw the high and lofty place that God inhabits with his sons that are of a humble and contrite spirit. He also showed us the creation in eternity, giving us a revelation of the works of His hands. Having this eternal perspective is paramount to us seeing and embracing the administration of the spirit that is ahead.

Let us revisit creation in eternity…

Genesis 2:1-5

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

As the scriptures declare that God rested from all his work on the Sabbath day, we are able to see that the work mentioned included much more than the things that appeared in those six days. The meticulousness of God concerning his plans for creation is revealed as the passage highlights, “The heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them”. This means that every soul that will ever manifest in time was Summary Scripture: Psalms 32:10 - Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

IT IS FNISHED

made (existed) prior to God resting on the Sabbath. We are able to see this as the scriptures declare; every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew... Just as with the plants and herbs, God made, experienced and predestined (discerned and judged beforehand) every soul before we were conceived, or born into this world. Based on his foreknowledge, and according to his will, God chose the generation, heritage and nation in which each of us would be born.

Let us once again consider the wisdom that God gave Solomon concerning eternity and time.

Ecclesiastes 3:14-17

14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Solomon was taken into the Spirit where God allowed him to see, hear and experience things that were already finished in eternity but had not manifested in time. This is not unique to Solomon. We are also able to see this in the writings of Isaiah, David, John, Daniel and many others. Based on this experience, Solomon boldly expressed, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” – Ecclesiastes 1:9. Solomon is saying that the things that are happening in the earth is according to what God predestined (experienced and judged beforehand).

However, when seeing eternity, it is easy to get stuck focusing on the fact that the choices that we make in our lifetime has already played out in eternity before God. However, the Father desires for us to see that he has revealed much more: the fullness of times has played out in eternity. Not only are the works of every man in time (earth) already played out in eternity, the works of God are finished as well.

For an example:

Hebrews 2:7-9

7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. This passage is written from an eternal perspective: the works are finished (all that God will do in the earth). God has already made all things subject to the feet of Jesus… it is finished! Yet when we look in time, we do not yet see the manifested government of Christ ruling the nations of the earth. Nonetheless, we know by revelation of scripture that Jesus is sitting at the right hand of power (the Father) until it manifests that his enemies, (and all things) have been made subject to him.

John 3:31-34

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. Jesus testified of the things he had heard and seen in eternity with the Father. Those of us who are called to evangelize the earth are to do the same. The words that we speak must be those of the Father. We must regard our prayer life differently. It must be a time of intimate interaction with the Father. As we speak to the Father, and petition him, we must also listen to his heart and instruction. Up to now, we have looked for that instruction mostly from the written word or the prophetic voice but the Body of Christ must evolve in these last days, to a place in their walk that hears the voice of God directly. He longs to be heard; and to show us of those things he has ordained in eternity. If we are going to rest in hope, we must see from eternity: every work is already finished. Therefore, it is impossible for it not to happen, because all that God has declared, or will declare, was already finished before He rested. This is the mind that Jesus spoke from when he said to his disciples, …if it were not so, I would have told you… (John 14:2)

THE THOUGHTS OF GOD’S HEART

Saints and fellow workers of the vision, I pray that you will hear and feel the heart of God in his desire for his people to believe in him; to trust what he says. Because we are divine in nature, we are able to discern such things. Hear the heart of the Father.

Psalm 33:11-22

11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

The counsel, or plan, prudency and purpose of God will stand forever and throughout the ages of time. But note the phrase the psalmist uses next; “the thoughts of his heart.” This Hebrew word “machashebeth” means imaginations, curious works and intents. We are the curious or variegated work of God’s imagination. We are the thoughts of His heart.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

We are the blessed of the Lord. He has chosen us in him before the foundations of the earth were laid. We are his inheritance. Therefore, we are the subject of these verses.

13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

Yes, it is true the Lord sits in Heaven today and is able to look upon all the inhabitants of the earth. However, the above passage takes us back to the time of our making. All of our works were considered or, rather, known at the time of our making; at the time he fashioned or formed us. But note also that he formed all of our hearts alike. Here is another reference to the writings of King Solomon;

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart As we learn in previous teachings, the Lord set the ancient world or eternity in our hearts. This is the purpose of the conscience. It is the knower; the place of the knowledge of God and the judge of good and evil regarding the deeds of the flesh. When David declares that God fashioned all of us alike, this means he gave us all a conscience. Even the sinner has a conscience that is able to convict him of his wrong. Note the following passage:

John 8:9

And they which heard it, being convicted (to tell one’s fault, reprove or rebuke); by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. These men were not born again, but they had that in them which God has given to all men: a conscience.

But note also that at the time he fashioned or formed us, refers also to him knowing and controlling every aspect of our lives.

Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

In the thoughts of his heart, He also considered all of our works. Again, we must remember that this consideration is the knowledge of our deeds and motives. Therefore, he was able to predetermine or predestinate us to be in Christ before he made the world. We are the thoughts of God’s imagination manifested in the earth.

The next verses reveal the Lord’s sovereign control over the state and affairs of men.

Psalm 33:16 - 22

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

I love his passage because it is here to encourage the chosen while they journey in this hostile world. There is no king or government that is saved by their great army or a man that is saved by his great strength or weapons.

18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

But the eye of God is always upon those that fear him. He sees all that threatens us. If we walk in the fear of God, then we would be able to take comfort in the fact that he is in control. God is able to protect and provide for his people in the midst of harships and hardness, economic prosperity or decline. Remember, that which is now has already been.

20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The bottom line is; God wants us to trust and believe in him. He wants us to believe that his word is immutable. He cannot and will not lie. He is able to do exceedingly abundant more than we can ask or think.

Again, he makes a plea for us to believe.

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter. Ecclesiastes 4:1. Solomon saw the terror in the hearts of men as they lived in a world full of darkness. However, the Father is faithful to his children.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:26

And again he makes a plea for us to believe.

Psalm 32:8-11

8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

The Lord has promised to lead and guide us. There is never a moment when he is not in control of our lives. Nothing can befall us that he has not ordained. Therefore, trust in the Lord and in the power of his might. He will do all that he has said. You can trust every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Obey with all your heart. Trust in the word of the Lord. Beloved, Believe in God.
