Oneday, as I sat in my room, my heart felt unbearably heavy. I reflected on my spiritual walk with the Lord, and while I found no sin in my heart, actions, or thoughts, I couldn’t deny that something was missing. My life lacked the depth of fellowship with God that the New Testament Church so vividly displayed. At that moment, my heart cried out to the Father with passion and desperation—I needed a change. I needed something deeper. It was then that the Lord began to reveal to me that I needed to seek Him. He spoke to me, saying, “You are part of a generation that has grown weary of seeking Me. They are a people content with giving Me the bare minimum and calling it worship. Many feel the same pull for fellowship within their hearts, but they are unwilling to sacrifice and truly seek My face on My terms. They eagerly follow the instructions of their Church leaders but resist the voice of My Spirit speaking to their souls. As a result, they find themselves despondent and unfulfilled in their relationship with Me.” This was a direct confrontation from the Lord, and I found myself reflecting on His words. There was a time when I sought God with all my strength. I prayed without ceasing, fasted endlessly, and immersed myself in His Word. But now, I realize my efforts were driven by selfish motives. I was seeking God with a list of personal desires, expecting Him to fulfill my plans. Even when those desires seemed spiritual, my focus was on what I wanted God to accomplish for me, rather than on God Himself.

Introduction

To truly seek God is something entirely different. It’s not about compelling the Almighty to design your life to your liking. Seeking God is about discovering Him—His heart, His nature, and His purpose. It’s about asking, “Who is God? What is His personality? Why did He create me? What purpose has He hidden within Himself for my life? What gifts has He given me to glorify Him?” For far too long, many in the Body of Christ have fallen into the trap of self-centered seeking. But now, the Holy Spirit is both rebuking and inviting us. He is calling us into a deeper time of fellowship—a time of seeking His face and surrendering to His will. And if you are not yet a part of the Body of Christ, let this serve as a guide to show you the disposition of heart necessary to seek God. Approach Him with humility, sincerity, and a genuine desire to know Him, and He will make Himself known to you. Through this, it will open your heart for His Holy Spirit to dwell within you and transform you entirely. Will you join me on this journey?
